I hired Christian brothers to install a new roof this past spring, due to storm damages from last year. Many issues have happened and gone overlooked my the project manager that was supposed to oversee the project, however he was not even present during the installation. After speaking with multiple roofers, I have found out more issues about this installation that I am still waiting on Christian brothers to correct. They did not tear any felt off of my roof, which insurance paid for, this causes me worry that my decking could be in much worse condition than they claim. They also did not install drip edge on the rakes of my home, which is code and insurance did agree to pay for. Both of those items costed about 770.00 of which they were trying to bill insurance for. The flat top roof over the garage was poorly installed and they did not use the material that I requested, and used different color flashing that did not match with the house, and the project manager lied and said that is all they had. The material itself is soft and gets damaged just by walking on it, as this flat roof has a door access and is meant to be walkable. They damaged multiple areas of my fascia metal, claiming wrong installation previously and another area was cut into without my permission or knowledge and he claimed it was a code requirement, which no other roofer seems to know what code that is. Drip edge apparently is required by code as of 2018 in the IRC which Louisville metro goes by, and I called to confirm. They claimed to have put on a 3-layer modified bitimun with a 20 year warranty but I do not know what material this is but it is certainly not what I had before. Other roofers claim it is a very cheap product and not proper for an area with a door access. All the flashing work they did is sub par and needs to be re done, I am very displeased with the work. I have been waiting to hear from them and they sent me a letter with a notice to lien with new additional charges.

I arrived home at 6:30pm and found your very full trailer in my drive, with 2 tires flattened from the load. There was a 10 foot strip of grass between my condo and the next building that they could have parked the trailer in. No one told me the roofers were coming today and they certainly did NOT have permission to put a trailer in my drive. I had to park my car in said grassy strip between the buildings. I paid for a garage when I bought here and should have full access to it.
If anything should happen to my car or my dog (since they dumped a bunch of trashed shingles in my small fenced yard - which they did try to clean up), I am holding your company responsible.
I want that trailer OUT of my driveway before 5pm Tuesday 7/25/23.

This is a multifamily property managed by a 3rd party who is responsible for alerting the owners. On 7/19 we left a vm for the property mgr letting them know our intentions were to start installing the roof on 7/24 and would finish on 7/25. On 7/20 we sent a text to the property mgr, see attached, to let them know of our proposed install date and let him know it was necessary for all owners to have vehicles away from the building prior to starting. Also we had the CBR Project Mgr for this job reach out to two of the property managers about the install date and were told we were good to go and they would let everyone know. On 7/21 we also sent a day on install instruction sheet, email and instructions attached, to the property mgr for them to pass on to let the owners know things to expect during the install. You will see it clearly states specific instructions about vehicles, driveways and garages. We promptly moved the trailer out of the way as soon as we were completed with that area/ roof. We took several steps to make sure everyone that we had access to knew the roof would be completed during that timeline. In response to this individuals comment about using a strip of grass to park in, our guys are trained to never park in the grass as the weight of the trailer on the grass can create damage that we would be responsible for fixing. We always do a final clean up at the end of the job and to this day, about 16 days later, we have not had any calls or communication about any clean up issues as she stated she was worried about. We do not agree with this individuals desired settlement and request that this case be closed based on the facts and proof that we went above and beyond to make sure we let everyone know that we had access to. We also have since found out that the other 3 individuals of this building did know about the roof install.
