      I’m writing this on behalf of my elderly mother. She has a subscription to The Acadiana Advocate. Her money is automatically taken out of her account. She did not receive a paper February 24th or 27th. She has not received a paper at all this month. She called and was told the problem was fixed. When the paper was not delivered she called again and was told to go to [email protected]. I went to the site for her and you can not get to the delivery issue page. I then called and was told the problem was fixed. As of today she still has not received her paper. I know this might be trivial but she loves her paper.

      The paper was delivered three times, I think the 14th, 15th and 16th. It has not been delivered the 17th or today the 18th. I tried to fix this problem the right way, calling several times and then going to helptheadovacte.com, but when I hit the complaints I can’t get to that page. I understand about the carrier delivering it to the wrong house, but now that they know the right address what happened?

      My husband **** ********* paid a renewal fee of $553.63. He had a dispute about the increase he told them to cancel the subscription and return his money on may 5, 2023 I ****** ********* wife of **** spoke with Brittney with customer care team told me I would receive a check for $499.00 in the next couple of days this conversion was June 5 2023, I am ahead of myself on 5-10-23 spoke with Vanesa they would send an application for cancelling a letter was sent with a website nola.com/app/forms/refund-form/ my son tried a couple of times rejected then my granddaughter tried finally got through that took place on 5-15-23 . they also told me on the phone calls it was a process i was told this twice. On 6-14-23 I ****** spoke with Brittney I should receive check at the end of June or beginning of July . At this point I feel like I am getting the run around thank you I appreciate any help I can receive about this matter.

      My husband and I love reading the hard copy of The Acadiana Advocate. In recent years, delivery has not been consistent. We have called to complain often, usually leaving a complaint for non-delivery on an automated system. Additionally, since August 31, 2022 we have been documenting on a spreadsheet the dates calls were made to The Acadiana Advocate (usually the automated system) for non-delivery. A few times we were able to get through to a human representative, they tried to be helpful, notified their supervisors, extended our renewal date the number of days missed, and delivery improved for a short period of time.

      In the month of January 2023, we received The Acadiana Advocate only 15 out of 31 times. On 2/1/2023 we spoke to a very kind representative who, like the others, acknowledged in frustration they were having delivery problems with the company responsible for delivering in our Youngsville area. Her remedy was the same as noted above when we previously spoke to a human representative. On 2/2/2023 we received the paper. Today, again no delivery.

      We are paying for a service for delivery every day of the week. It is extremely frustrating and stressful that The Acadiana Advocate continues to hire an ineffective delivery company who is not fulfilling their job responsibilities, and that the The Acadiana Advocate settles for, as a remedy, extending the renewal period for days missed, rather than assuring we receive the paper daily.

      We look forward to reading the newspaper every day, are paying to receive the paper every day and expect to receive what we are paying for. We continue giving The Morning Advocate chances to rectify the situation, but to no avail. We have receive no satisfaction in the delivery of the newspaper. I would have also filed a complaint against the delivery company, but have no idea who it is. I believe it also should be reported to the BBB.

      We recognize the amount of the complaints from the subscriber and have provided a missed delivery credit for each of these. The Director and District Manager have met with the contractor to improve delivery service for the subscriber. A follow up visual check will be instituted to make sure that the contractor is delivering the paper daily.  We appreciate the subscriber's patience with this frustrating experience and as a good will gesture of our intentions to correct the service we are providing an additional month of delivery on us.
