Jefferson Parish Department of Water is overcharging for water. They are price gouging. The water went from $151 to over $2000 in one month and they won't give a breakdown of the charges. They are doing this to all of their customers. They are robbing everyone and no one will help.

This is my SECOND attempt at filing a complaint Berghaus the first time didn't get any response. I have requested a new trash can since July 2023 as mine has been busted since August 2021. I still have no new trash can after multiple phone calls and failed efforts to get one. Now they have taken my lid with them as well which means I can't keep the rain out of it. AND I refused to pay the trash portion of my most recent bill, because they've aren't providing me services appropriately. There response was to send me a disconnect notice for being 29.00 late/ about 3 to 4 weeks overdue at this point. My bill has ALWAYS been paid on time *************** time when I told them WHY I wasn't paying. So their response is just out of spite. I just want a trash can

I have only been staying in my house for almost 1 year and ever bill that I've ever received was 70 dollars and under, this month which is September I received a bill for ******, something has got to be wrong, I work 2 jobs and I'm brarly home, and I don't have a washer are anything, I called my landlord to let them come and check for leaks and he said that I didn't have any, but he also told me that another person in our apartment received the same bill just about and she was complaining to them as well, I've called several times and received no just, and I put in 2 orders for someone to come and reread my meter in which nobody got back to me, there is no way that a water bill can jump from 70 to 224 in 1 month, with a leak are without a pass due, I'm so very upset and u need someone to look into it, now my bill was due on the 11 but I got a extinction because nobody never came out yet, my apartment people assured me that either they didn't read the meter and just did a estimate are someone new is working..

We have been living in this house for almost 4 years and this year I have seen a major concern with my water bill. They are continuously putting that just my husband and I are using ***** gallons of water a month. Then I received a more accurate water bill saying we used ***** gallons which is normal. We do not have any leaks at all throughout the home. Our landlord replaced all of the pipes last year. When I reached out to the water department with my complaint now, we are using ****** gallons of water. This is impossible, I am working from 9 to 5 Mon, Wed, and Friday and the other 2 days I am working 12 hours. My husband is also at work from 10am to 7:00 pm. I truly believe we are constantly being overcharged on our water usage. I have reached out to the water department, and they seem really nonchalant about my concerns. I have proof with my bank statements to prove what we have been paying the last 3 years while residing at this address. I would like a thorough investigation into this issue. I know that 2 people didn't go from using ***** gallons consistently to **** gallons and ****** gallons.
