      Jefferson financial has changed the status of enclosed account on my ********************** to open after it has been closed for 9 years. Im asking that remove this account from my **********************. They have changed the status from closed to open when the account is not opened, and added late payments. This is inaccurate.

      There is no change in the credit union's original response to the first complaint. This is not the correct channel to communicate with the credit union as we do not disclose sensitive information to non-verified inquirers such as charge off status or reporting reasons.       I had an account with ********************************************* when it was open in *****, *******, and I decided to continue to bank with them after they left. However, I moved to **********, *******. My bills increased and I was in a financial bind. I had two bank notes with Jefferson Financial and I asked them to consolidate my last bill into my other loan. They said no, and so I couldnt pay them like I had before because my rent was now ******* dollars. Everything was so expensive. So I did owe the them. However, this summer I worked for and ******************** business called **************************** They sent my money to my old account. However. I did not authorize them to do so (I have already file complaint on them). I gave them my current banking information; unfortunately, they did not use my current information for this years program. So, Jefferson Financial decided to get the money that was owed to them. My pay from SKC was ********. They took ******* for some NSFs and a bank bill. Here is the problem- I still have not received my ******* that they said they were going to send to me. They are still saying that they mailed my check out on July 12, 2024. Today is July 27, 2024 and I still do not have my mail. They claimed that they mailed me a cashier check; however, they sent my cashier check without a tracking number. There policy is that a customer should receive their mail within 7-10 business days, but it has now been 11 business days and I still do not have my check. With the warning the ************ gave in 2023 about mail fraud, why would an institution send that amount of money without a tracking number. I have not received my money as of today, July 27, 2024. Both of these business are blaming me for this mishap, but I did not authorize SKC to put my money in a closed account, and although ********************************************* decided to get the funds owed to them, both of these have not been concerned with me receiving the funds needed to take care of me and my son.

      Hello,

      An official check was mailed by Jefferson Financial FCU on 07.11.24 for the remaining balance in the account. Once notification was received by JFFCU that the check was not received, a request was made to place a stop payment on the check. Once the allotted time to receive the check in the mail had passed, the stop payment was completed and the funds made available for withdrawal on 7.30.24. The desired resolution has been completed.

      A longtime Jefferson Financial member, a JP school teacher, 100 yrs old died. My name is on her accounts at **** **********************. She received posthumously a $700 check from Discover for points that were never redeemed. On July 5 2024 Jefferson Financial refused to deposit her check into her account. ********************************************* would not provide a statement saying that they could not deposit the check. Having the refusal statement from Jefferson Financial Discover would of rewritten the check to me, her Executur of her estate. Jefferson Financial refused any further discussion.

      *************************** whose response to the BBB was recorded called back.   ******* said that he was unaware of the complaint, that he did not respond to the BBB.  
      He gave me Cassandras extension 239 @ ************ and he would give her a call.
      She is Specialized Accounts.  ********* has repeated that Jefferson Financial cannot write a letter to me *********************** stating that they cannot deposit the $700 dollar check payable to ******************* DSCD into *************** account.  She said the bank would not allow it.

      Im not liable for this debt reported with Jefferson Financial. This account is more than seven years old and exceed the statutory time period. Under the Fair Credit Reporting Act, they must be removed. Please send my updated/revised credit report to me after these accounts have been deleted and prompt attention to this matter is greatly appreciated. They did not provide me with the original contract as requested after challenging account time.

       The entire collection account should be removed seven years from the date of the first missed payment that led to the collection or charge-off status. The FCRA limits the length of time some information can appear in a consumer report. For instance, bankruptcies must be removed from the report after 10 years. Civil suits, civil judgments, paid tax liens, accounts placed for collection, and records of arrest can only appear for 7 years. This accounts is more than 7 years old and exceed the statutory time period. Under the Fair Credit Reporting Act 15 U.S.C. 1681c, which overrules any credit unions decision ****************************** falsely answered in response to the complaint, requires this must be removed. Please send my updated/revised credit report to me after these accounts have been deleted. Your prompt attention to this matter is greatly appreciated.

      This bank reposessed a car while I was on active duty there is no court order showing or giving permission neither none of the ok was were followed I want this deleted of my credit report 100% or they can take it to court in front of a judge which they will not do.I demand proof that the repossession of the subject vehicle was legal in accordance with the following UCC: *****.       First, I would like to thank you for allowing us to explain our position in regards to complaint filed by ****************** about his auto repossession.  As ****************** stated, he was in Army reserves but the only orders that he presented to the credit union stated that he was no longer active as of July 10, 2021.  The vehicle was repossessed July 26, 2021 and at that time the member provided the military orders that had expired.  While we wish to always work with our members, he has not been forthright in keeping us informed.  We had been reaching out to the member and even sent him letters but he failed to contact us back even before he went on military training.  Prior to the repossession we had tried to reach him at his employer, *****, but we were not able to reach him and we had left messages for him to call but he failed to contact us.  Upon repossession of the auto, the member immediately contacted us but he would not provide us with proof to his active duty status.  As an abundance of caution and while still requesting that the member provide us with the current orders,we chose to keep the auto in storage until August 26, 2021 in hopes of working with him but again he failed to provide us any information and did not appear to want to work with us.  While we had hoped to hear back from the member, the car was finally sold on October 14,2021.  Once all sales proceeds and insurance claims we received were posted, the member was sent a notice explaining the balance.  Unfortunately,all efforts to talk to and to work with ****************** failed not due to no lack of effort by the credit union to work with him but due to his failure to want to work with us.

      December 24, 2021 I went to the *** machine at Jefferson financial credit union to retrieve $500. Put my card in and only received a receipt showing that the $500 was given to me when it wasnt, I filed a complaint with the credit card company, and received the $500 back on my card. I thought nothing else about it till July 2022 the credit card company took the money back off of my card. I was told by the credit card company get in touch with the *** owner.. I reached out to Jefferson, financial credit Union, numerous of times to file a complaint or to speak to someone concerning the $500. I never received a phone call, or was able to file a complaint. My sister went to Jefferson financial credit union three different times and was told a manager would get in touch with me. She was never in the office.. to no avail, I went twice, and was told the same thing to no avail. The money I had saved for my children that is artistic in the parish give them an allotment every month. The card do not have a chip on it so I assumed that is the reason why I didnt receive the $500 and just only a receipt.. can you please help me with this matter to retrieve my children $500 from Jefferson financial credit union thank you.       The credit union received a dispute for this issue in 01/2022, however it was denied by the credit union after an investigation was completed. All reports show successful transmission, and no outages. The credit union finds that there are no charge back rights.

      In 2017, I was the victim of a burglary. I single handedly found the perpetrator (whom I did not know) & brought forth charges against him. He pleaded guilty, admitted to his crimes and was sentenced to jail time. As a result of his actions, my bank accounts at Jefferson Financial (one checking & one savings) were used to fraudulently by him. This has been investigated by ********************************* and I was found not to be a fault for the negative accounts. For YEARS, I have mailed certified copies of the police reports and letters from the ************************** stating such and that the negative accounts should be removed from my credit reports. To this date, both negative and fraudulent accounts still remain on my credit reports.My legal & lawful requests to take care of this matter have been completely ignored. This has severely impacted my credit and I have no other choice but to file legal suit against Jefferson Financial Bank.Account # ***************** $444 Account # ***************** $95

      Date of transaction: 10/12/22 I have had a saving account with Jefferson financial for a while now. I recently applied for a loan & was denied. And then I got an email about a new loan called "***** Life event Loan" that was open to their members. After reading about it , I saw that I meet all the qualifications and there was no credit check also you would only be charged a $20 application fee if you were approved. So i applied & was denied for whatever reason & then a few days later I noticed I was charged the $20 application fee. I called & inquired about ****** was told they would look into it & get back with me. I actually y called them back seeking an ************* told me it was the application fee for the loan, which I knew that already but I was denied so why was I charged was my concern. They told me it was a fee regardless of approval or denial. And I explained to them that I wouldn't have applied if I would have known that. Especially being previously denied, which there was no fee applied. I only applied because it was no credit check & I meet all the other requirement AND the fee would be taken from the loan amount, if approved. This credit union has eaten up so much of my money on fees. I would have never done that application if I knew I had to pay for doing an application. I have given them enough of my money for nothing. I wouldn't dare knowingly give them another $1!! I tried to pullup this particular loan but strangely I can not but I did see info on the other loans they provide & it says no application fee. This credit union makes millions of of ********* dishearten me to know they refuse to give me my $20 back because they are wrong. They have got hundreds of dollars from me for bogus fees but this time I am taking action because I'm tired of being taken advantage of. I need my money. If I am applying for a loan obviously I need the money. why would I give away money hoping to get some in return. I wouldn't have risked my money for a hope.

      There was a statement that said you will not be charged the application fee if your loan was denied. And the $20 fee would be deducted from the loan amount. ****** is that statement? He dug up what he wanted to present. Show the entire application process. 

      I'm not just making this up. I know what I read & I  can comprehned very well. This credit union has taken hundreds of  dollars from me for fees & they couldn't  even give me a $500 loan but want to charge me for not giving me a loan. Really?? But I guess becasue I'm not well off they feel like ***** can have their way with me. But thats the last fee, for nothing, they will take from me beacuse I WILL NEVER IN LIFE DEAL WITH THIS CREDIT UNION AGAIN. And I'm going to make it my personal business to tell anybody who would listen about what they did to me.

      At this time our position and answer has not changed as the statement for the loan clearly stated that it was a non-refundable fee and was assessed no matter if the loan was approved or denied.  We are not aware of anything that the member would have seen that would state the fee was not going to be charged if the loan was denied.

      July19 notified of fraud and verified fraud activity. Monday July 25 Learn of continued fraud after blocking my daughters card and account on July 19. July 25 evening over ***** removed from my primary savings account to cover the negative balance that was/ still awaiting investigation. When the account for my daughter was opened.. I signed documents stating to not allow her card to allow transaction if the money was not in the account. I also stated that I did not want roll over transaction on any of my accounts. I was informed that my daughter would be rejected at transaction if she did not have enough funds. I was also informed that my accounts would not be impacted due to how I set her accounts up. However, after going into the bank to attempt to close my daughter account in July 25, 2022 and told I could not because the bank was investigating but will not touch any of my accounts nor allow any further activity from her account, I Learned that the negative balance from my daughter saving account was taken from my primary savings account after being told my account would not be affected. Jefferson Financial failed to protect their clients( my ************* from fraud and the adherence to their part of the contract ( deny of overdraft and not transferring my funds to cover my daughter account). This is Horrible! Jefferson Financial has taken my savings to replace their lost after failing to prevent and protect my personal information from being hacked and taken advantage of.

      The credit union conducted a prompt investigation on this matter. We had a formal interview with the member on 08-02-22. There was information and camera footage we were able to share which allowed the member to identify who committed the fraud on the account. The member then selected not to proceed with the credit union pressing charges against the "bad actor" since in was a family member. The meeting was recorded. We are in good standing with the member now. Please let me know if you need any additional information from me and I will provide.
