      I lived at willowood apartments for less the 90 days and had a horrible experience. Don’t rent from them.

      Citrus Creek West resident web portal maintenance requests are being ignored and deleted. Moved in 11/11/2022. AC not cooling since about 11/26/2022. Several requests via web portal, phone calls, and in-person visits from maintenance staff. Yes it’s winter, but there have been several warm days where I would like for 1st Lake’s Citrus Creek to honor their part of the lease contract by providing a functioning air conditioner. The office staff is very pleasant, but I’m exhausted from continuous grievances that haven’t been resolved since November. I submitted a complaint to Atty General Jeff Landry because I’m not sure what else to do.

After speaking with the management team at your community, we also learned that they have been in touch with you, that your AC coil has been replaced and a date has been set for your sheetrock repairs. If you are still experiencing difficulties with your resident portal or if there is anything else you may need, please contact your leasing office.       If I could provide ZERO stars I would. Do not sign a lease with The Crossings Apartment complex in Metairie, LA. They are part of the 1st Lake Properties group and is the worst kept complex with this company. They are running scams to charge tenants for new carpet, appliances, etc. instead of replacing these items when tenants complain during the course of their lease. We signed a lease in August 2020. Upon moving in we had issues with the following: *rips and stains in carpet *substandard appliances- refrigerator went out the 2nd day after move in. There were several work orders submitted however subpar repairs were done instead of replacing *Dryer consistently going out and never fully repaired or replaced Due to appliances being old and substandard, the electric bill would range from $300 to $400 a month for a one bedroom, 700 sq. Ft apartment. The electric company determined 70% of my bill was due to these appliances consuming more electricity than normal. Upon move out, we were charged $1,000 for carpet replacement! This place is managed by slum lords and they will continue to make excuses for their lack of attention and accountability for the upkeep of their units. The outdoors is worse. Falling wires in breezeways, rusted railings that are just painted over vs. repaired properly or replaced.

      The ***************** experience was horrible. After the hurricane my apartment water damages were never fixed. Even before the hurricane we reported water was coming under our Living Room/Kitchen wall and they hesitated on fixing the issue. When the young white woman which was my neighbor reported the problem then they started working on the issue. They fixed the huge water leak on her apartment first which she didnt even report the problem first. I felt that was some form of racism because her apartment got fixed before mines, and I was the one who reported the issue first. After they fixed her wall from leaking. They fixed mines next and didnt even offered to lower my rent the next month. They should have because they worked on my apartment for 4 days and I wasnt allowed to use my kitchen. So I had to buy restaurant food those four days. The Manager at the time **** said out his own mouth they should of lower my rent for that next month but his boss said no. His boss told me no and didnt really care about the story of the water damages and was ******* me off the phone. I also had a bad silverfish problem inside the apartment and there was a mice problem outside the apartment building due to the trash. The silverfish problem took nearly 3 months to send someone to spray. My wife and I take pride in keeping a clean home. Also the trash was unacceptable they hit you with lies saying the trash is picked up 3 times a week and thats a lie. The trash smell was messing with the health of myself and my family. When my washer machine went out thank God I had ******* as maintenance at one point because she actually cared. Now I receive a letter stating that they took my security deposit over some normal wear and tear of small nails. My wife and I never mounted tvs or put big holes in the wall. Im being charged over $100 for normal wear and tear. I DO NOT recommend these apartments to no one. ESPECIALLY MILITARY MEMBERS!

      We have had several issues at every level in our 2.5 years at this complex. Unfortunately circumstances kept us here for that long, but we are finally moving out in January of 2023. To keep it as collective as possible, I will spare as many unnecessary details as possible. Since storm Ida (which was now well over 1 year ago), we have not had a gym, nor a tennis court. These are amenities that we are promised by our lease agreement which has not been upheld. I have been telling the leasing office since storm Ida repairs began, that one of the contractor companies they hired have left nails all over our parking lot. This has caused 8 flats to myself, 4 to my girlfriend, as well as 7 to my neighbor and her boyfriend, and at least 4 to my down stairs neighbor. We have had termite and water damage STILL from Ida. They actually came in and spray painted (yes SPRAY PAINTED) over on our bathroom wall. The termites stayed for over a month with nothing done. Then they did a shoddy/cheap job patching the problem. Now, after 2 months or so of the problem being "fixed", they are (as I write this review) tearing down the entire ceiling from my front door to my kitchen because of structural water and termite damage. I quote the 1st Lake employee "Wow I can see the roof debris from inside!". The pool and lazy river is regularly (even in season) green and full of algea, while the next door 1st Lake Property is just fine thanks to them actually maintaining things. I have gone to the property manager several times about our issues with no help. I had to go over their heads to their regional manager, who helped me once, then blocked my email accounts. There was an incident where my girlfriends family member got drunk and tried to attack me and the police were called on thanksgiving. The property manager used this against me to try to make my neighbor scared to talk to me about the issues we were both having. Though, there is a lot of info I am leaving out due to character limit.

      1st Lake Properties are scammers!! Dont rent with them. Please believe the bad reviews. Make sure upon vacating your apartment you do a walk through with a manager and take lots of photos and videos. They will lie and make up something so they can keep yr security deposit and make you pay out of pocket for something that is no issue in the apartment. I know because they did that to me. If I could put no stars trust me I would. Upon research they have been doing this to a lot of people. PLEASE BEWARE! I would NEVER refer anyone to them ever again!

      This how been the worst experience Ive ever had at any apartment complex altogether. I currently live at a ******** property ( Fox run 2) since Ive moved here its been total chaos. The roaches here are so bad i had to throw away all my dishes because they were literally all over the counter , in the cabinets, stove and sometimes even in the fridge. I keep my apartment spotless and its still been a hassle getting rid of them. *** complained to management numerous of times. When i complain they send somebody out to spray n never send them again until i complain again its unacceptable that i cant even be uncomfortable where i spend all my money
