The original Level Tech estimator quoted a price. I paid a deposit. Level Tech held my deposit. The Level Tech worker came to do the job and said they needed more material. Level Tech said they need to recalculate the job. The new estimator quoted a new price more than double the original price. I emailed the owner. The sales manager called and said I would be required to pay the new quoted price. A detailed 8700-character document has been uploaded with further explanation about this matter.Business Response

Dear Mr. *******,
Thank you for sharing your concerns and giving us the opportunity to review your experience. We take all feedback seriously and regret any frustration this situation may have caused.
After reviewing the details of your project, we understand how the updated quote may have come as a surprise. However, it’s important to note that the original estimate was based on site conditions at the time of the initial inspection. At your request, we delayed project completion until you were ready to move forward. During that waiting period, site conditions worsened, which significantly affected the scope of work needed to address the issue properly.
Due to these changes, it became necessary to revise the estimate to better reflect the updated requirements after reinspecting. That said, we want to be clear: we are still fully willing to complete the scope of work originally quoted for the originally quoted price. However, we cannot complete the additional complexities and structural extremities that have since developed for that same amount, as doing so would compromise the integrity and durability of the project.
We remain committed to finding a fair and transparent solution and would appreciate the opportunity to connect with you directly to align expectations and discuss the best next steps.
Sincerely, Level Tech Foundation and Concrete RepairBusiness Response

Complaint: ********
I am rejecting this response because:The Level Tech response was not satisfactory. Level Tech’ s response was vague with no
stated plan to the BBB to resolve.
The next day, June 8th, the general manager
******* called me to state that I had a choice: 1. Level Tech will only do the
work that they initially indicated (which is not what their initial estimator
stated), 2. Level Tech would do the more expensive work that the new estimator
came up with, or 3. Level Tech to return my deposit if I chose. I explained
that her options address my BBB complaint.
******* stated that the original estimator, ****** ********,
was no longer and employee with Level Tech due to his work practice. I mentioned that seeing how Level Tech had
to let ****** go from their company because of poor performance, that I am
willing to pay more, but not the more than double amount with the new
quote. ******* said she can look into
recalculating a new quote. ******* said
she would have to discuss with the owner.
On Friday July 11th I called Level Tech and
******* said she would call me back after a meeting on Tuesday. She is yet to call. I request Level Tech to provide a compromised
fair reasonable price that so this job can be completed.
Sincerely,

Date of transaction, November 20, 2024, project design specialist from Level Tech estimated foundation repairs needed at my home, *** ***** ******* ******** **. On review of the estimate an agreement for the repairs was made, with a requirement of a 30% deposit at the time of the estimate. The amount of the deposit was $ 5,603.25, which was given in a cashier check on November 20, 2024. I Signed a agreement to the estimate repairs. A full contract for the work was promised to be delivered in five(5) to Seven(7) business days, After fourteen (14) business days had expired I contacted the company. I received an unsigned contract with five (5) days which included terms that had not been included in the estimate agreement. I immediately contacted the company in writing and orally canceling the contract and requested a refund. At the request in person the manager I spoken with refused to refund my deposit, I requested a refund in writing by certified mail on December 11,2024, and February 14, 2025. I sent an e-mail with copies of all prior communication on February 1, 2025, with no response to any communication. I need this company to refund my money since there I notified them in writing to cancel the repairs, and no repairs was doneBusiness Response

I am rejecting this response because: The written contract was not received within three business days and was not signed by Level Tech or by me the consumer. The only written paper work signed by myself was the written estimate given on November 20, 2024 of the repairs to be completed.
Sincerely,
