      Attempted phone order payment to CrescentBank using automated system went directly to an individual. Not the first time. The problem is that the business started showing my acct approximately ,3 months past due(?). I paid my acct every month, but since my statement shows my ****, I pay on it. Requested back in Feb or March to send me proof of when I missed a payment.. 7-16-24 I called ********** and it rolled to a business called Midland Credit MGMT.not realizing it after entering my S/S # and phone number. 7-12-24 and 7-13-24, and yesterday I refused to give info over the phone. This morning I got the auto system and put in my info for partial payment $300.50 which was confirmed and no confirmation given to me..The phone was hung up first call after holding for approx5-10 minutes. My recall went through and no confirmation number was given. Someone has ally personal info and always attempts to drawoney from my checking acct. From the *** and overseas(***** was one place).. I called ************ fraud **** immediately after I received no confirmation from the system phoned in.

      We have received your complaint requesting validation of an outstanding loan from Crescent Bank.
      We researched your complaint and would like to share the results of our investigation.
      The contract was signed on 3/22/2021. We received all loan documents from the dealership, including a copy of the drivers license, social security card, signed contract, and service contract.  
      On 10/4/2023, you spoke with management regarding 2 money order payments you said were sent on 9/25/2023. We informed you that the account was assigned for repossession.

      Based on this research, we have confirmed that the reporting to the bureaus is accurate, and we will not act to clear derogatory reporting.  We are providing the above referenced documents, and your account history. If you are disputing the loan, please follow the bureau dispute process and complete all the required fraud paperwork.

      So after not being helped with skipping a payment ive come to realize that this company is over charging me in interest rates which is illegal to be exceeding an amount in charges im being charged way more than what any person should be and if this company fails to fix the charges i will be getting a lawyer so we can see who should be paying who. The people should have to be taken advantage of especially because of our credit

      We have received your Complaint about interest rates. We researched your complaint and would like to share the results of our investigation.
      On the following dates below, you requested extensions on the account. When extensions are granted, daily interest will continue to accrue, so any payments made after the extension will be applied to unpaid accrued interest first. So less if any of the payment made will reduce the principal, costing more interest over time. This is a mandatory script that is read verbatim when requesting an extension.
      Extensions requests: 9/6/23, 11/1/23, 1/12/24, 4/15/24
      On the following dates 4/1/24, 6/11/24, and 6/18/24 you spoke with the management team who explained simple interest and how extensions impact it.
      Loans with Crescent Bank are simple interest loans, which means the loan accrues interest each day based on the interest rate and the principal balance amount. The interest rate is listed on the customer's contract and is the average of the principal balance owed in the interest each year.
      Whenever you make a payment, the money you pay will be applied first to accrued interest. Then the remainder will reduce your principal balance, so your daily interest will be reduced as you lower your principal balance.

      I read reviews prior to even leaving this review and it shows what type of company I've been dealing with. The fact that this is a business and they are responding to customers response with giving personal or private information is unethical and insane. I got a car from them in 2023. Unfortunately someone hit and totaled my car. I had gap and gap isn't paying for the remainder that was owed after the other party insurance paid due to their mess up. My wife and I called crescent several times asking them to send documents that the gap insurance requested to no response. They also sent a letter back in November saying they submitted a claim to gap on my behalf which means they should have been aware of what gap requested. No one did their job! Now I am stuck with this balance to pay however my attorney says she's working on this and trying to get answers and results. This is crazy! I even called again today the rep placed me on hold and came back and said it's nothing she can do. Horrible! Please refer to gap document of denial and the letter sent from crescent

      We have received your Complaint about your vehicle loss.  We did send documents to your *** company as a courtesy back in December, 2023 however it is upon the customer to follow up with the *** company to finalize the claim as the customer must provide documents to the *** company. We left you messages that the *** was still unsettled in February, and the *** company attempted to contact you as well.  However, the documents were not received by the *** company until April, after the claim was closed.       They are predatory Leinholder and theyve consistently and repeatedly used deceptive business practices. When I initiated the loan the representative spoke so fast intentionally so I wouldnt know I could change my due date. Since then I have been hit with late fees, and been unable to make my due date as it falls in line with other bills. Ive since tried to change it and been told I can but everytime I try its a new reason as to why I cant. I am lied to every time I speak with someone. Theyve taken away my ability to make online payments, but when I ask why they tell me they dont see that anything changed and I should be able to make them. I am forced to call them, even though Im unable to call and make payments during business hours because I am working during those same hours. This lienholder should be fined and shut down indefinitely.

      I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ********, and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.

      my complaint was that I have not been able to make payments online, and every time I call and speak to a representative I am told that they are unsure and will address. Ive gotten nothing but confusing and broad communication that is subject to interpretation. They are only open during the hours that I work so I am unable to call during those hours to make payment. NOW, the vehicle has been repossessed with NO NOTICE to me WHATSOEVER for 90 days past due! This needs to be rectified immediately! I have never gotten such vague communication and dealt with a leinholder with such bad faith practices! They intentionally make it difficult! I knew better than to select a leinholder out of **********

      We have received your Complaint about your vehicle repossession.  The phone call on May 31st advised that we only accept same day payments to stop the repossession, based on the status of the account.  There were no payments made on that day.  The vehicle was secured June 5th prior to the payment being made on June 6th at 4:09AM.  The vehicle can be reinstated before the vehicle is sold. Per the GA law, the bank gives customer 10 days before we start the sale process.  Customers can call to set up arrangements to reinstate at ************ between 7 am CST- 5:00 PM CST.

      Im contacting today 6/11/24 because i contacted crescent bank for an extension and was denied when my vehicle needed some tires after someone slashing them im a 76 year old vietnam veteran living off of social security i asked to be able to skip a payment so i wouldnt fall behind and wouldnt drown myself when im barely being able to be afloat the two women i spoke to denied me the ability to skip a months payment and i want to see if i could be able to skip a payment thru here i dont want to lose my vehicle and i dont want to drown in debt and thats why im asking to be able to skip a payment instead

      We have received your Complaint about credit bureau reporting.  We can confirm that the reporting to the bureaus is correct and in compliance with reporting requirements.  Crescent Bank has an executed Retail Installment Contract dated September 29, 2016 for a 2016 Chrysler 300 Sedan, with your signature on the contract.  The vehicle was repossessed February 9, 2018 and sold at auction.  There is still a remaining balance on the account.
