  It appears they are subcontracting with foreign workers that can not be communicated with or so they say. When they were out there was no metal for valleys or flashings. They said no speak english. I called Shawn no answer. I started out with Shawn for Hurricane Ida repairs and was very specific about the flashings around the chimneys and over the sun room valley. Before the roof repairs began Shawn no longer worked for Pelican. My estimate/invoice reads" Atlas summit underlay...6 inch drip edge, starter strip shingles, ice and water shield and valley metal in valleys, ridge vents and/or turbines, replacement of roof pipe flashing, and hip and ridge capping." None of this work was provided. All they did was remove and replaced shingles. Poor job of that.
  Now I have an estimate reads "detach and reset vinyl siding in order to replace roof to wall and apron flashing above sun room and master bedroom where the same chimney is cut out and replace stucco in order to install new flashing, remove and replace any shingles needed to perform flashing installs. $7285.14"
  A retired teacher of 40 years and this is how I am treated. The damages from Ida cannot be completed until the rain stops entering the house.
  This company is beating people out of money. They were privy to the insurance adjusters numbers and they aim to collect all except that company has filed bankruptcy. LIGA is not responding.

  We have pictures to confirm that we did install all roofing components listed on the signed contract. The contract that was signed by Ms. R***** and a Pelican representative did not include any flashing work. Pelican later provided Ms. R***** with an estimate to replace flashings, but she declined to proceed with the work.

  In the wording and via verbal contract/invoice I was assured the flashings would be redone. If your representative made an error or your intent was to defraud then I am saying the warranted roof is still leaking around the flashings that were never replaced as I was assured of verbally and in the attic.

  You have exterior pictures only. The interior attic reflects wood issues that you didn't address as per the initial verbal agreement.

  Pelican Roofing has roofed my house and business, each experience has been great. Their sales and service staff have always been knowledgeable, courteous and gone above and beyond on our jobs. Highly recommend them.

  They do not stand by their warranty. We decided to let pelican do our roofing based on their reputation and boy was that a big mistake. We got a salesman named Daniel come out and give us a quote to reroof our house which we agreed upon. Into the middle of the roofing project i get a voicemail from Daniel stating that when our original roof was installed the roofers had nailed into our flashing around the chimney and if we didnt pay the 950.00 to have it reflashed that section of our roof wouldnt be covered under warranty. I agreed to pay the 950.00 to have the chimney reflashed so my whole roof would be covered under warranty. I called Daniel to let him know my decision and he said he would be emailing me the proposal which i never got. Pelican sent their own flashing guy out to reflash my chimney. The only option Daniel gave me was to have the chimney reflashed with no options of how it could be done or what would be done. I was also informed that Daniel was not taking care of buisness and releived of his duties by pelican roofing which all my problems were blamed on him. Pelican finishes my roof and i pay the remaining balance and get a full warranty certificate form them. approximately 6-9 months months after completion i noticed alot of water pouring in around my chemney. I called pelican and they sent a representative the next day who took some pictures and told me he would have to talk to someone higher up. A week goes by and i have to call again because its going to rain and my chimney leaks. I get a response from the higher ups stating that the flashing was not done right and it could not be covered under warranty and they were going to charge me 4860.00 to redo my whole chimney and credit me 950.00 for the previous flashing job. After a second quote of 2800.00 i decided to get a second opinion. The other roofer determined there was no ice and sheild around the chimney, the shingles were to tight and we needed a cricket. Roof is fixed right and no leaks now
