      ummary of Issue: I was wrongfully denied housing at ******* School Apartments, a Beacon Communities property in **********, due to a staff error in the *** eligibility screening process. Staff failed to ask the required question about my student status (i.e., whether I was a full-time student for more than 5 months of the year), resulting in a denial that was later overturned on appeal.Unresolved Problems:I was not reinstated to my original position on the waitlist, as required by Beacons Tenant Selection Plan.The housing unit I would have qualified for was given away during the two-week appeal delaycaused solely by the propertys error.Repeated follow-up emails to ******* ****** and the property have gone unanswered, and no corrective action has been taken.Desired Resolution: I am requesting:Formal acknowledgment of the error.Immediate reinstatement to my original waitlist position.Priority assignment to the next available PBV unit.This has caused unnecessary housing instability, and Beacon Communities has not followed their own policies or *** guidelines. I am requesting assistance from the BBB in resolving this matter fairly.

      The Property manager at ******************************************************* is quick to sign ** a threat to go to court/get evicted because of unpaid rent, but she refuse to respond to any of my emails/calls in regards to the issue of the unpaid rent. We have contacted the office about this issue of unpaid rent and no one has ever reached back out. It is honestly ridiculous to say the least. When we first moved in, we were forced to pay EXTRA each month because they had included income from a job to which I no longer worked at for at least half a year. When issue was brought up to them, they advised they had LOST our files containing all the pay stubs and information we had provided MONTHS in advanced prior to moving to this new building thus, we were forced to pay extra for 4 months. Crazy right? We still continued to pay and were up to date with our rent. Now, not only are we being ignored for an issue about unpaid rent, they have given ** a month to pay the remaining amounts or get evicted and go to court. We don't have an issue paying. In fact, we are now being forced to pay in order to avoid eviction. All we wanted was some communication and clarification. Clearly, no one in that office is able to provide that. I hope further actions will be taken to improve the customer service and support that this current office and staff is lacking. Especially in a building full of minorities and people who cannot speak fluent English, this is all very upsetting how they have no support and is being scammed due to the lack of sympathy, organization, and communication from this office. I am no longer seeking a solution for my problems anymore. The damage has been done and hard working money has been taken. Just want you all to be aware of the type of treatment management is giving its residents here. I've spoken to other residents and clearly we are not the only ones being treated poorly. Can't speak for other beacon communities neighborhood, but here at Old Colony is brutal.
