1 starGetting the car was easy. Keeping it war hard. After having the car, someone impersonating Flex Car called me and got my banking info. This compromised my account. I let flex car know i had to lock the card and offered to pay with another card. They ran the locked card anyway and then said they would issue a warrant for my arrest for grand theft auto because the balance wasn't paid. I offered to pay immediately with any other card, they refused. Whem I fixed my debit card they said because they ran the card and it didn't go through the company blocked that card for me to pay with. I had to go open another whole banking account in another state just to pay them in which they said they couldn't guarantee that the car wouldn't be repossessed and also me be arrested even after the payment. **************** was rude, talked over me, the app gave me constant issues. Getting a real person to speak to is impossible if not in certain hours even when they tell you a warrant is being issued against you. The stress this company has caused is unexplainable.Review fromCher B

1 starI was looking to join **** car, however, the reports are frightening. I'm desperate to get into another vehicle but not at this cost and frightening experiences. Their add's are appealing, attractive, which appear to be a suductive set up for destruction. I think I'll pass. I think everyone should be warned about this company. They need to shape up or ship out. We don't need another corporation in this country sticking to it's hard working citizens. Everything appears to be based on greed and selfishness. I love their concept of options but it sounds like they do not live up to what they advertise. I hope Flexcar reads their reviews and change their policies. They can be ruined and put out of business if they're not careful. And that's all I have to say.Review fromLynne R

1 starStay away from this company flex car when I signed up two years ago they were very organized and a fair price to use for a rental / lease now going forward they make up their own rules they change the prices and they have terrible customer service agents if you don't follow their rules or harass you and they come and repossess your car.Review fromTal O

1 starSTAY AWAY! Worst decision I've ever made was getting a Flexcar membership. I rented a 2020 **** Ecosport, and its wheels kept getting out of alignment. Their service team admitted its a common issue theyve seen, yet they offered no real solution. I had to take it to the shop four times in eight months. Their only option was for me to swap the carbut since I got my membership in June, their prices have increased by $100 per month on every car, plus an extra $95 per month for the same insurance plan. Thats nearly $200 more per month just to get a functioning vehicle.I found this out only four days before my renewal, leaving me completely screwed. I cannot keep driving a car that isnt safe on the highway, but they refuse to replace it with a similar, safe vehicle at the rate I originally signed up for. They would rather lose a customer than honor their commitment to providing a safe and reliable car.Their customer service is useless. They have no power to actually help, and they lie about supervisors calling you back. Not worth the headache. For these prices, just lease a car. You wont save yourself the hassle of dealing with a dealership because Flexcar is just as badif not worsethan those pushy salespeople.Review fromMiko E

1 starI've Been A LEGACY Customer of ********************** since they 1st started in ******* (March 2021 to be exact). I was very excited and PROUD to be a Flexcar Customer and was MORE Excited to be a Member when the Membership option was 1st introduced. Ever since they changed they're policies and features, it has been down hill ever since. This past weekend, and for the 1st time, I was victim of a potential car theft (car break in) at my apartment complex. I called the police, made a police report, called Flexcar and filled out the incident form. Since I had been paying on insurance since I joined Flexcar, I was under the impression that the glass damage was covered under their current insurance. I received an invoice yesterday for the cost of the window damage that I didn't cause, and was told that since they changed insurance companies this time, I didn't have full coverage. **************** acted like there was nothing that they could do to resolve the matter. I'm not paying for glass damage I didn't cause. It's unfortunate that I spent this whole time believing in Flexcar and paying for services that I thought I had but didn't. And keep in mind, I'm IN THE MEDIA INDUSTRY. This is NOT A Good Look for Flexcar and you just lost a dedicated customer and potential small business partner.Review fromSonia N

1 starI was just scammed by FlexCar. Unfortunately, I damaged the passenger side mirror. I was told I had to return the car within 24 hours. I complied by dropping everything and returning the car the same day after driving almost 2 hours to their nearest hub. My card was charged $687.79 for the next month, which they told me would be refunded. They also have my $249 security deposit, which they said will be refunded or applied to any outstanding balances. Now Im getting emails that I owe $856 for the mirror damage. They do not respond to my questions about the refund they owe me, and I had to file a dispute. They keep trying to charge my card $856 and will not send an itemized invoice, or respond to any questions about the $249 security deposit or the $687 refund for the following month that they charged me even though I returned the car, and they promised to refund me. Atrocious customer service, and predatory behavior where they scam vulnerable people out of their money. Its shocking that a business like this exists in *******.Review fromBerni W

1 starAvoid Flexcar at All Costs - Scammed by Unscrupulous I'm extremely disappointed and frustrated with Flexcar's unethical practices. They charged me an outrageous amount for minor, almost invisible scratches on the vehicle. The scratches were barely noticeable and didn't affect the car's performance whatsoever.Their policy seems designed to rip off unsuspecting customers, and their attitude is appalling. The staff showed zero willingness to negotiate or understand my perspective. It's clear they prioritize profits over customer ***********************************'s business tactics are predatory and untrustworthy. I caution others to steer clear of this rental company and explore alternative options. The stress and financial burden they've caused me are unacceptable.!Review fromBobby T

1 starThis company is a complete scam. They take your money for a car and then make a reason to cancel your reservation. On August 27 my wife had put in to rent a flex car with her credit card. Her license was expired for a few days and they requested more information since the card was in her name. We didnt send it because her id was expired by a few days when we ordered the car. She realized this error and cancelled the original purchase. The next Day, August 28, I had reordered a car with my debit card and with my debit card information, and they took $860.17 from me. They refunded my wifes money on her card because she had cancelled the first car and they took my $860.17 dollar payment. Its been a back and forth game trying to get them to refund my $860.17 because they refunded it and then a day later tried to recharge my debit card for a car we never even received from their company. Its been a few weeks and they are still saying they are not charging my card and they cannot remove my debit card off their system. I have reported that I DO NOT ever want to rent from this company ever again because of their fraudulent practices. All I want is my $860.17 back so I can get a car so I can start working. And who ever is reading this, please do not rent a car from this company. They are a bunch of scam artists and will steal money from you! Its been ************************************************************************************************************ get my money and stop them from charging my bank and stealing from other peopleReview fromLiz D

1 starthis company is such a SCAM. there are hidden fees (like a surprise $200 fee if you only rent for one month), their cars are s***** and deliver them without doing basic maintenance (like checking tire pressure, and as another person says, you are responsible for getting these things fixed and the miles come out of your allocation), and if they make a mistake it's on YOU (i picked up a car at 25% fuel levels, they said it was 75%. i sent a picture of the gas gauge, the miles i have driven, the average mpg for the car i rented and the size of the gas tank. all of which shows there is no possible way the car was at 75% when i picked i up but they said because i signed there's nothing they will do about it.) it's hard because they are the more affordable option for something between a short rental and long term lease but avoid this company at all costs if you possibly can.
