This is a highly misleading advertising campaign masquerading as a gift card offering. This is highly deceptive.

Not a gift card at all. I got a $30 gift card from Planet Fitness thanking me for being a Black Card Member. They pigeon hole you into two "offers" and they are just ads with a small discount. Looks bad for Planet Fitness and for Nift.Nift

I've now received 2 "gifts" from Nift that have been offered through both Gasbuddy (They claimed it was a $30 gift card for my birthday) and now through Parkmobile (because they miss me, apparently...)As everyone else on here says, there is no "gift". This company is data mining and gives you a "Promotion", "Discount" or "Special Offer" on products that you have to purchase.The way this works is they collect basic information on you from the source (businesses/companies such as NextDoor, GasBuddy, ParkMobile, etc). The businesses that are giving you the "gift" receives a link from Nift to send you that corresponds with the data they have that Nift has already collected from them. When you click on this link, Nift then asks a few questions to "find you a gift", but they're really pulling information about you to sell to other advertisers about your interests. The "gift" they offer isn't anything free. They are subscriptions or products that you have to pay for. Each item I was offered was not something that I wanted, and the cost of receiving the "gift" was much more than the "gift card" was, even after applying the "gift card".I wouldn't be so upset about it if the businesses offering this, and "Nift" themselves, just called it what it is. They should just tell people that they are providing you with "Special Offers", "Discounts" or "Promotions" valued at $30 (or whatever value it actually is). It is extremely misleading and unethical to tell people that they want to give them a free gift, collect data about them, and then expect them to buy something.I currently view "Nift" as being a very misleading, unethical and potentially even fraudulent company. I'm starting to also feel the same way about the companies that are working with "Nift" and giving out these "free $30 gift cards". I've never had a friend say "Happy Birthday! I brought you a free gift that you have to buy from me!" But "Nift" and the companies associated with them seem to think this is OK.Nift

As other reviewers have said, this is a joke at best. It's NOT a gift, it's a COUPON. I get these via Gasbuddy, and HELLO, GASBUDDY, THIS MAKES ME WANT TO DITCH YOU! Nothing is ever actually free, and virtually nothing is anything I'm even the slightest bit interested in!! I have zero interest in any type of "health" supplement, and definitely not in anything involving THC. I don't care if social network idiots adore it either.Nift

I received a $30 Nift gift card. They claim that the money is to use in local stores. Not a single store that was on the website is even remotely close to me. They are all national retailers. And when I tried to use the gift card, many of the "offers" were just online coupons. I would have to spend $50+ in order to "use" the $30 off. Even worse is that most of the offers didn't even allow me to use the full $30! Like they were withholding My money!! This is a horrible, horrible business model!! We also apologize for the confusion around your gift value. When you get a Nift gift card, you always get at least $30 to use. If you pick a gift thats worth less, youll be able to pick a second gift. We totally get why this might have been confusing and would like the opportunity to make it right.

Do not claim Nift's offer. The shipping costs are high and there is a minimum amount to spend which makes the consumer spend more. This is false advertising and insulting to the customers' intelligence. One of their "discounts" is receiving $30 off BJ's membership for new customers. That offer is available to all new customers so to advertise this as a discount from NIST is comical. Also, they give you a $30 dollar gift card but only $20 can be used and it doesn't apply to many items. The website states, "These gifts drive efficient net new customer acquisition at scale, while making customers feel valued, and delivering revenue and growth for businesses.." Actually it does the opposite but making customers feel scammed and I along with others do not want to be a customer at any of the businesses partnering with Nift because of the lack of trust. My hope is that Nift takes all of the feebdack seriously and makes the necessary changes to be a better company build trust.Nift

Have received these "offers" at least 5 times now and they are never anything that looks like anything but a scam, discount that you could doubtless get some other way, their advertising says gift card for local businesses but not once has anything local showed up as an option, only overpriced online stuff I don't want. No idea why choosing "I live with my family" results in offers for THC and wine, maybe they think moms are stressed out. Also HelloFresh and Invisalign, both of which are so ridiculously expensive that $30 off is the same as no discount.Nift

when gift started, it was great. they worked with local businesses and gave out gift cards that were actual gift cards. as a result i tried many local businesses i never knew about and made some great discoveries. these days, Nift is a sham. discounts on online services, not local, that always require spending some sort of money. sad.Nift

Not really a gift card and it's disingenuous to advertise it that way. Both options that showed up for me were discounts that were regularly available on the company's website for the products so Nift didn't provide any additional discount and there was no actual $30 gift card. The service is really only a way to advertise discounts that businesses already have available. I will not be using this service and will make sure to tell anyone who asks how worthless this offer was.Nift
