********** is selling information about me on their site, and I want it removed. They do not have my permission to profit off of my information.I found this information by searching for old email addresses of mine. I have attempted to use their opt-out tool, but it rarely works, and it only offers a name and city/state search which doesn't display enough information to know if it is the record with all of my email addresses (I have a common first name with many results matching).Attached is a file of all of the email addresses, addresses, and variants of them I have found through searching their site and their affiliates.Business Response

I got a week free trial at infotracer.com and they kept billing me for ten cycles of 25 dollars for $250 and wan't supposed to pay anything and only found out about it by looking through my bank records today.Business Response
Date: 02/21/2025
To whom it may concern,
I can understand the concern expressed by **** Pounds. I was able to locate the account in question. It appears sign up took place on 06/15/2023. The email address associated matches the one provided by **** Pounds in the related correspondence with the Better Business Bureau. It appears the account was used to conduct various searches. At the time of enrollment, the customer agreed to our billing policy, which indicated after the seven-day trial is completed, additional billing would follow on a monthly basis. A confirmation email was sent detailing the same. This information can also be found in our Terms of Service, *******************************. Our billing descriptor includes the website URL, and for the further convenience of our customers, we also provide easy cancellation with the click of a button, with no need to contact Infotracer.com directly. It also appears our 24/7 ************* Team, which can be reached by phone, chat, or email, was not contacted by **** Pounds for support.
As a courtesy, we have processed six refunds of $24.95, for a total of $149.70. We kindly ask that **** Pounds reach out directly to their bank or financial institution for further help on the matter. Please let us know if there's anything else we can help you with.

I signed up with Infotracer.com and paid $2.95 with the promised to receive a report of a vehicle including the owner's name and address. No such information was shared. Instead Infotracer.com offer if you pay an additional $9.95, you will get the info, and again once paid you get nothing other than specs of the particular make and model, which anyone can look up for free! THIS IS A TOTAL SCAMBusiness Response
Date: 02/17/2025
To whom it may concern,
I wish to inform the BBB that the customer subscribed to ********************** trial service for $2.95, which provides a 7-Day Unlimited Search Access. Any data presented as a result of these searches is derived from records that are not under the control of Infotracer.com. Unfortunately, we can't guarantee full or accurate information for every VIN or License Plate searches because publicly available information varies. Records may be missing or incomplete for various reasons, including state restrictions.
Infotracer.com also provides optional purchasing of premium data as an added value to our services. These premium reports come from a different data partner, which is why we require an extra fee of only $9.95. Premium reports are completely optional, and customers do not have to purchase them. We simply offer them as a convenient addition to our regular services. Customers may still run as many searches as they want within the Infotracer.com unlimited member's area.
We have processed a refund of $12.90, since the customer was dissatisfied with the report she received. Please expect the funds to reflect in 3 to 5 business days. Please let us know if there's anything else we can help her with.
Sincerely,
The Infotracer.com's Support Team

This company is displaying and selling information about me, and I want it removed from their site.I found it by searching for phone numbers associated with me. To whom it may concern,
Data privacy is a top priority for us and we are happy to assist ****** ****** with their Opt-Out request. While we are unable to guarantee that public data will not be made available again, we can confirm that ****** ******** information was removed and an email confirmation was sent on 02/12/2025. All associated records have been removed from our database and can no longer be located by our internal team, confirming the removal was a success. InfoTracer reached out to me directly and informed me that they had fulfilled my opt out request. It's unfortunate that I have to publicly call them out to gain traction on these requests, but this isn't the first time, and I suspect it won't be the last.
You need to offer a way to opt out based on other searchable data points like phone numbers. Your system only offers named based opt outs, and your responses to the Contact Us form are hit it miss. But with a business model like yours, I'm not surprised you choose the dishonorable route and find a way to continue selling people's information while offering a token opt out process which doesn't work and offers incomplete results.
I'm sure we'll meet again in a BBB complaint in 6-12 months. Until next time.

Prior to logging in when searching a phone number they claim to have found the number as can be seen in the first screenshot. After paying and logging in the same number results are entirely different and not the original they claimed. This is misleading customers into paying for the service claiming they found information in which they do not provide after the customer pays.Business Response

To Whom It May Concern;
I wish to inform ******* ******** that the preliminary search accesses a database to confirm information exists on the individual. This information is provided as reference material. We've also reviewed the screenshots that ******* ******** has provided and it states that the "Full Report will include the stated information -- WHEN AVAILABLE". Please know that the Preliminary Search accesses peoples databases to verify that the person exists in *****************, and is just a preview of the possible results available once you've subscribed to our services. I've reviewed the account and can see that ******* ******** has been a member for almost a year. The Premium Report he has purchased is for a Background Report and not for a Phone Report.
If ******* ******** is dissatisfied with the Background Report he has purchased, please have him give us a call or send an email to [email protected]. Rest assured, we are here to help.
Have a nice day ahead, and stay safe!

I complain that : I never subscribe ******************* monthly service, but ******************* charges me $29.95 as the monthly fee. I never agreed to subscribe monthly service from this company called PropertyChecker(Payments@propertychecker) and I never authorized this merchant to deduct the monthly service fee from my ****** account. When I received the call from my ******** express credit card on January 9th, **************** customer service told me that, this company *************** Try to charge the monthly service from my credit card. **************** credit card was suspected to be a fraud and has helped me declined. I tried to contact *************** to Declare that I never subscribe to their monthly service, this company refuse to refund. I am not sure ******************* is a fraud company, But ********** in order to earn the service fee , ********** helped *************** charge $29.95 from my account. I think this was unfair , I appealed to ********** (case NO. PP-R-DCA-*********) indicates that I have never subscribed the monthly service from PropertyChecker. And I asked ********** to return my $29.95. But ****** insisted on deducting my $29.95 in order to earn the service fee. Although there is just a little money, I am very angry with ****** *** for such bullying. I know that there are many other victimized clients like me, so I turn to the supervision of BBB to do justice for our weak side : clients. Ask for a refund of my $29.95, and I hope more consumers will come forward to complain.Business Response

To Whom It May Concern;
I would like to let ** ***** know that this BBB complaint is filed under Infotracer.com, but Qi Zhang subscribed to a partner site *******************'s trial service for $2.95.
After careful review of this complaint, I can see that this customer contacted our *********************** Team via email. Our system indicates that one of our dedicated ************* Representative responded to this customer's concern and was advised that since a Chargeback has been filed, we are unable to process a refund on our end. ** ***** would need to reach out to their financial institution for the turnaround time for chargebacks.
On the checkout page of ******************* if the customer chooses to cancel their account within the trial period, the trial fee will be the only amount billed. If the account is not canceled after the trial period, the customer will be charged the monthly billing fee. Customers must agree to the billing terms before payment is accepted.Please see *******************'s Terms here: *********************************.

Attempted to contact this business to get a refund on a service that I did not use, and their excuse is because I did not cancel the service within the timely manner they cannot issue a refund. But they just charged my card on January 19th 2025, and I was requesting a refund of that charge. They tell me that they can't issue a refund. As a customer I believe I withold the right to refuse to continue to pay for a service that I do not use or have not used in a period greater than 30 days. There is evidence that I have not used this service in over a month, which should entitle me to a full refund, regardless of whether I chose to opt out of the 7-day trial or not. I do appreciate you attempting to refund a little bit more, although I do believe I was entitled to a full refund. Maybe allow people the option of a full refund, provided they have not used your service in over 30 days. Sometimes life gets a little hectic and people forget about things like that.
