      I reached out to see if I can get a better rate and I asked about Gap coverage insurance and I was assured that I could get this so I switched to Liberty Mutual. I ended up wrecking my first vehicle which was a ****** Prius and was used. The supposed Gap shirts and picked up the rest that was not paid by the initial.. when I got my new car I switched the insurance over and I was told I would have gap on this one because I asked for it and it wasn't until after that car was totaled that I was told I didn't have Gap insurance. It wasn't until I got my third card that it was explained to me they only do Gap with new cars and I explained well I had it on my first car how could that be possible come to find out I didn't even have it on my first car I was totally lied to you. I disputed what was said because insurance agents are supposed to make right something if they tell you you have this they're supposed to make it right. But they could only refer to the phone call between me and the agent that conveniently was lost. And then next they go to the paperwork which was conveniently left off because she knew I couldn't get that Gap coverage. Worst company ever.

      At first the auto insurance was less than other insurance I checked on, but their rates went up after 18 months. Ive been a licensed driver for 56 years and I have never had an accident, a claim and have had only one ticket in **** for making a left turn 3 minutes before the restricted hours ended. I bought this vehicle in November 2020 and have driven less than ***** miles in almost 20 months. When Liberty rates increased after 18 months, I checked other insurance companies and found I could get the same coverage with a $500 deductible instead of the $1,000 deductible with Liberty and save $300 every 6 months, so I opted to cancel Liberty and insure with Allstate. In ********, Liberty charges a hefty cancellation fee, so be advised to check on what their cancellation fee is in your state! I do not recommend Liberty Insurance and certainly dont recommend you cancel a policy. Let it expire before getting a policy with a different insurance company. After being insured for 7 weeks on this renewed policy, my cancellation fee was at least 25% in ********.

      CONSUMER BEWARE BEFORE USEING STATE AUTO!!!! This company gave me a quote of of $72.63 @ month of which I paid two premium payments through automatic deductions from my banking account. Two months later I received notice of a premium increase to $130.16.I promptly looked for other insurance and before the policy increase effective date of and I cancelled the State Auto policy for one that was less expensive and fit my budget. I received a Cancellation notice from State Auto. Then two months after cancelling the policy I received an email and hard copy advising me that I owe the company $ ******. They were billing me retroactively for the increase because they had not checked my claim history fully when I took at the policy. When applying for a new policy I was honest and gave all my driving and claims information to the representative in February. I also provided all requested claim information from my prior insurance company as requested also. The notice's I received never stated anything about retroactive charges so I contacted the ****************** of Insurance and filed a claim against this charge. But was told the company was within it's right to **** me these additional charges even after the policy was cancelled. This is clearly a case of ************* against me the consumer but in order protect my credit rating I am making payments to clear this ****!!!! My Advice Is NOT TO USE STATE AUTO!!!! I would give them ZERO STARS If Possible!!!!!

      After 2 decades of homeowners with this company, I've finally had it. I've only ever had 2 rather small claims that entire time and yet my rates go way up every year. I've asked if there was anything that I could do or remove from my policy to make it a little cheaper and was told by one very snide person that I actually wasn't being charged enough! We're retired and have to be careful what we spend. They weren't very helpful at all! So much for loyalty!

      I think that LIBERTY MUTUAL AUTO INSURANCE is worst than dealing with the mafia or a scammer network cause all they do is blame you for any type of claim and payout a very very low amount for any type of repairs and then just double your monthly payment and your yearly cost for your plan it's insane to have a INSURANCE payment more then your monthly vehicle payment it's outrageous and they need government sanctions to limit what they can adequately charge a customer of a few years or more

      My car has been at the shop for one month, both I and the shop owner have called and emailed countless times. No one ever calls back- not one time in a month. Email a manager to ask for help- no response. Worst customer service ever. Switching back to All State.

      ************* was beyond great. From the minute she answered the phone all the way through the entire conversation she was absolutely amazing. She made sure every question, regardless of how many times the same question were asked, were broken down and explained thoroughly.. she is one of the best CSR ever. I really appreciate her and I pray her supervisor sees her great works. Thank you again **************

      I have called on contacted Liberty Mutual over 100 times in the past year for a $300 claim. No one ever answers the phone, and you get transferred to mail boxes that are full. In addition, their road and towing service *****. I was left stranded for 24 hours waiting for a tow.This company is a compete joke and should never be used to insure anything.

      Worst insurance company ever. A lady with safco/Liberty mutual Insurance hit my car and was at fault for the accident. I called her insurance company to file the claim they told me it was going to be a easy Peezy process and we wouldnt know the results and/or have our money within a couple of days. It has been a month since the accident on ****- 2022. They decided to total out my car, and without talking to me and my consent called a company to come and get my car. When I received a phone call from the other company I told the woman that she did not have permission to come pick up my car that they had not even informed me of any of this yet because I was wanting to buy my car back. When I finally got a hold of Safeco they told me that there was no way that the people had called me that fast to come get my car. And now Im still trying to get a hold of them again and figure out when I can get my money and sign to keep my car but nobody will answer me nobody will return my calls or my emails. This has been going on for a month and Im ready for it to end and be done with ! And here I am being told just a couple more days, every day I get ahold of a representative to direct my call, who then directs my call to the claims representative whos over my claim who doesnt answer. Im super fed up!

      I agree with others that there needs to be a zero star rating for companies like LM. There agents are trained to avoid calls, texts, and emails and to mostly avoid payouts of money. Do not use this insurance company unless you enjoy being treated rudely and like being scammed!!!
