    On Friday, 9 February 2024, my car was towed from the ***** A street parking lot even though I paid $20 to park there. I arrived at 7pm, parked in spot #6, and followed the instructions on the sign posted by the booth. These instructions directed me to scan a QR code and pay through a company named "Honk". When I returned later that night, I found that my car was gone. The lot manager told me that if I parked in a "Spot Hero" spot, they towed my car. But, the parking spot that I used did not have a "Spot Hero" sign. There was nothing posted near the payment booth, or the parking spot #6 that instructs customers to reserve with Spot Hero Both the tow company and the lot manager claim that Spot Hero asks D and D towing to patrol this lot and tow vehicles that have not paid. So I called Spot Hero, and they told me that they do not communicate with local tow companies. They informed me that it is the lot owner/manager that calls to have the cars towed. (See Complaint ID ********** had to pay $169.77 in towing fees, even though I paid to park there. The lot owner/manager and Spot Hero both claim that each other company called for this tow. Tow companies don't single-handedly patrol parking lots and tow cars without being asked. Someone had to call them. Because there was no "Spot Hero" sign posted for this spot, and there were two different payment apps (Honk and Spot Hero) for this lot, I think that the lot owner is responsible.
