  The last race I did was a trifecta in 2019. It was challenging, fun and interactive. I did a race in March for the first time since and it was terrible. The course was easier, the cost was way up. Just to watch as a spectator you have to pay $30 to walk around a few tents that sell garbage and protein bars. Then to top it off the shirt I go at the end I noticed looks like someone cut a sleeve off and sewed it back on my shirt. Looks terrible. I cant wear this anywhere but at home. Disappointing that this race that used to mean so much is just a way to get as much money as possible from you. I bought. A trifecta pass but still have to pay more for each race even though I paid a large sum for all three already.

  I had an injury happen before the 12/7/2024 spartan race in central ******* and contacted these people weeks prior to get a refund. THEY WILL NOT REFUND YOU YOUR MONEY!!! There is no number to call them by and they are a complete scam of a company. Im out 250$ for one ticket AND I PAID FOR INSURANCE!!!

  We had a group all sign up for a race in ** and Spartan for whatever reason decided to move the date to a different weekend in September. Not only do they have a "zero call" policy for customer service, but they refuse to issue a refund to those who can no longer make it.I understand that things change, but refusing to refund money and instead making us select another race in 2025 (none of which are remotely close to where we live) is preposterous. This is the last time we will be using this company for race/obstacle events.

  I needed to transfer to a new race and it was painful. Due to scheduling, the only race that was a fit was a super. However, I paid more for a beast. I realized I wouldnt get the difference back on the ticket price and had come to terms with it. However, I did NOT expect to have to pay a $37 transfer fee too. I tried to work with Spartan and they would not offer options. Disappointed in this after running dozens of them.

  Awful customer service. I paid for the ********************** Trail race. During this race a thunderstorm warning came into effect and the race had been stopped. I was farther back in the trail and didnt hear the announcement about the race being stopped. There was no other means of relaying this to us in the back. I desperately needed water at the end and once I got to the finish, I was not allowed to cross. I had just run the ENTIRE course. There were no water bottles or any means of getting water at the finish. My only option was to trek back to my car to get water and recover. The race wasnt resumed until about an hour or more later. I asked that they send my shirt and medal, I sent my results from my watch showing ** finished and the map of the course I ran. They offered a code for a future race. This is unacceptable and is not true customer service.

  This company is a nightmare to work with. Don't don't don't do it. God forbid you have a medical situation and need to cancel. There is no empathy from them. Spartan is a money hungry company. You need to pay to transfer your ticket and if it's more expensive then there's some other bogus fees. Please do your research before paying them. They should be going out of business soon.

  All the poor reviews below are accurate ***** Very poor customer service. We purchased over $1,000 dollars in tickets for an event this year. We needed to move *********** to a later event due to someone on our team separating their shoulder. They take forever to respond to emails and that is the only way to communicate. It took over a week to try and transfer a ticket to another event. Once they finally got the transfer working it was going to cost $68 dollars per ticket to transfer them. The original cost of the tickets were $98 per ticket. Talk about a scam. Super stressful to work with these people. Original ticket cost $98 dollars Cost to transfer the ticket. . . . . $68 dollars.

  While in Abi ********* of the crew leader employee for spartan was bragging so much as if he was working for the Olympics. He then proceeded to complain about how sick he was the entire time because he was withdrawing he then proceeded to call me the * word over n over I would love to see some action taken on this issue.

  My son hurt himself during his last cross country meet, so I tried to refund my tickets and they told me no. My son has a direct hernia and a surgery consult. I didn't realize they were such a shady and unethical organization until I started reading the other comments. I will not participate in another event with them. I will also be filling a report with the ** and see if they can get banned from the state.

  Spartan upcoming Oct 22,2023. Registered June and took out cancellation insurance in case I could not attend. Very disappointed I cannot participate. Spartan refuses to issue me a refund. Do not attend this event do not pay cancellation insurance as they will not honour. This company should be ashamed of themselves. Will be contacting social media and whoever will listen to me. Do not want this happening to someone else. Looks like its happened to many many people who registered. Disgraceful.
