  My friends and I were signed up for a race in 4/29/23 in **. We were going to drive two hours from ***. The weather ended up being really bad that morning. We couldnt even see while we were driving so we decided to turn back. We didnt want to get into an accident, it was so hazardous outside. There is no number to call so we had to email that due to the hazardous conditions, we cant make it. They responded days later offering no refund and no opportunity to transfer it to another race. They were not understanding at all and unhelpful.

  Spartan postponed my race from March to April (and changed the venue), then again from April to November. I wont even be in the same state 7 months from now!!! The $182 I paid has disappeared from the site as if I never paid it, so I cant even forward the money to pay for another event (and even if I could they charge another $35.Of course they are going to cancel events with a no refund policy - look how much money they make to provide absolutely nothing. I have completed one race with Spartan in December 2022 and loved it, but I refuse to give them any more money for absolutely nothing in return. Spartan is operating unethically.

  Spartan *** has rescheduled my race which originally was supposed to take place in ****** ** to ******** **. Now they've canceled that rave due to weather conditions even though this weekend, the weather is sunny and flood warning are issued. My page of upcoming events is empty. Please be warned. If you reschedule your race more than once you lose all your money you've paid and literally have to pa y a full price for the 2nd reschedule. It happened to me twice. I have emailed them twice about their cancelation, they still haven't responded. I'll be contacting the attorney General of my state. This company desreves less than a one star rating.

  After 4 weeks of emailing customer service, 12 emails and filing a complaint to the ******** attorney general, I finally received a refund for a race they cancelled. I pre purchased race tickets (spent $200) for a ******** race in July 2022 and Spartan cancelled the race in October 2022. I followed the directions in the email but they only sent me a partial refund of 2 tickets. I went back and forth with customer service via email and they insisted that they couldnt refund the kids passes and processing fees. My friend suggested that I file a claim with the MI attorney general. I did that and finally got a full refund. If you pre purchase your tickets and they cancel, don't expect that they will do the right thing to refund your money!

  This company operates with a bait and switch payment policy. The listed price of the race goes up by ****% (+ $40) between selecting your race and checking out. They tack on "mandatory" extras that include $10 for parking, bag check and merchandise discount (apparently a required pre-payment to buy more stuff from them!?), $14 for administrative, insurance and management (why isn't this in the initial price?), and $16.34 as a processing fee (because processing credit cards is more expensive than the majority of other retails, and somehow isn't included in the administrative process).

  My son and I have previously completed 2 Spartan events. We have signed up for a 3rd one on 10/23/22. Now, we can't make it. We aren't looking for a refund we simply want to transfer our entries to a future race in March 2023. They want to charge us an additional $37 dollars each just to transfer to another event. We've already paid $125 each ($250 total) for the first event between registration, parking and all their other add-ons. Now they want more just to transfer. Given the fact that they don't offer refunds, they shouldn't be charging when someone needs to transfer. If we can't get these transfer fees waived, we will have made our last purchase with Spartan.

  This company should be sued. Terrible customer service. My wife tore her ACL months before the race and we contacted Spartan and they refused to give us a refund. They then proceeded to give us a transfer code which was only worth the face value of the ticket. So now someone else will have to re-pay all of there Fees and Parking. This company is a SCAM and please no one ever use this company. The fact the my wife is now physically unable to do the race and they are refusing to give a refund is beyond me. This company should not be allowed to practice business.

  They treat their loyal, long-term customers like trash. Saturday afternoon they halted a race and we weren't able to finish 13 obstacles. Now they refuse to give us credit for a future race.

  Spartan has built in EXTENSIVE measures to steal from their customers.1. They only offer you $50 and $100 gift card options, but if you purchase an $84 ticket plus a $12 race tab plus $40 in insurance and fees, they forfeit the remaining $16 of your gift card and refuse to refund it after contacting them. During covid, obviously our race got cancelled but they refused to refund. Instead, they offered a code to sign up for a new race that expires within one years time. Then, a year later, that race is also cancelled and moved, without consent or refund choice, to a day I could not attend and I lost out on 2 tickets, plus fees. Then, a year later, my husband broke his hand and we had to transfer his ticket to a friend. My husband paid this ticket and fees full out, but then had to pay $15 to transfer to a friend. That is acceptable, but then my friend was forced to pay an ADDITIONAL $50 in fees (that my husband already paid) for "insurance" and "parking". Spartan is a scam, they are thieves, and they should be sued.

  A horrible experience in so many ways, from start to finish. Most importantly was the day of the event, I received a race package with a discount card for 20% off my purchase. I made a purchase of $240+ tax. When I received my emailed receipt, I noticed that the 20% discount wasn't applied to my price. I went back to the sales rep and showed him, and his response was "Sorry, the discount coupon we gave out expired a year ago, it was a mistake".I then said, well if thats the case, please return my order. I was told it isn't returnable now since I already wore one of the shirts (immediately after purchase I put it on, not thinking this would happen).I later emailed spartan corporate and was told that they couldn't find proof of my purchase. I showed them my **************** charge. They still insisted that they had no record of my sale. Hours of back and forth, I wonder how many others have fallen for this fraudulent and deceptive billing scheme? Perhaps their sales and accounting tactics need to be further looked into.
