This company employs canvassers who are poorly trained in their offerings and provide inaccurate information. Not only did they ignore my no soliciting sign, they also ignored that I already had solar panels on my roof. The *** said "I can save you 28% on your electric bill". When I told them I already had solar and only paid the base access charge, they (falsely) claimed they could still save me 28% on that. Community solar can be a great offering for the right people, but Solstice needs to do a better job training their ***resentees on the offering when trying to get people signed up.

This is not a solar company. It's a third party MLM intermediary to sign innocent people up for predatory contracts with actual solar and power companies. They told me they'd just send me some information about this "new law" that would "let me get cheaper electric bills" and then three employees converged on me and pressured me to sign a contract and give them debit card information. How is that just giving me information? They created an account and collected monetary information when they're supposed to be getting me bill discounts??? Makes no sense. Predatory tactics for a predatory company just trying to make some ridiculous quotas. You cannot delete or disable your account without contacting them, and they do not answer your contact. Just more scammers out there.

    Hi ******,

Thank you first and foremost for sharing your experience. I'm glad we were able to connect over the phone so I could hear more about your interaction with one of our sales ***** and once again I apologize that you felt pressured into signing up for something you didn't fully understand.

As we talked about, no customer should be asked to share information or take action with Solstice without a proper understanding of community solar. We take this responsibility very seriously and have delivered this feedback to the team you interacted with so that more residents don't have an experience similar to yours. Community solar is a wonderful opportunity to save money, but only if it is communicated transparently and with respect to all residents and businesses.

To clarify, Solstice is not an MLM. Community solar is a state-sponsored program and Solstice is an approved provider of that program. We collect subscribers' payment information so that they can pay Solstice for their solar credits at a guaranteed discount, and this discount is where subscribers' savings come from every month. We're proud to provide over $2million in annual savings to participants this way. Any customer who wishes to cancel can either email or call our team, or log into the Solstice account they created when they signed up and cancel from there. We've canceled your subscription and appreciate the opportunity to learn from your feedback.

    Best wishes,
    Scott

I'm disgusted that this company has a high rating considering that ****************** ***resents them. I had the worst experience ever as did my neighbors with the *** for Royalty Renewables. I explained that I was in the middle of a crisis and the *** still kept telling me to go get my bill, over and over. He did not explain that I / we would be receiving another invoice from another company. He did not explain that the "reduction/REFUND" that would show up in our normal utility bill was NOT really money in our hands and that they get 80%!! He also did not explain that if you use over the allotted amount, you would be paying out the gazoo. He also did not mention a million other things. This was absolutely despicable!!! Shame on him and you!

    Hi Ma,

Thank you for taking the time to share your experience. Im so sorry to hear that your interaction with a representative left you feeling pressured and misledespecially during what sounds like an incredibly difficult time. You deserved a respectful, transparent conversation, and I want to personally apologize that this wasnt your experience.

While the representative you spoke with wasnt a Solstice employee, they were representing our company, and we hold our partners to high standards. We take your feedback very seriously and would appreciate the opportunity to learn more so we can take appropriate action.

If you're open to it, Id love to speak with you directlyboth to better understand what happened and to make things right. Please feel free to reach out to me at ******************************* or give me a call at ************. If its easier, wed be happy to contact youjust let us know the best way to reach you.

I also want to briefly clarify how community solar works, in case its helpful:

    - In some cases, customers receive two bills: one from the utility and one from Solstice (or a billing partner), for solar credits that reduce your utility costs. The Solstice bill reflects those credits at a guaranteed discount, so you always come out with savings.
    - Youre never charged extra to participate. If your solar share doesnt cover all your usage, the rest is simply billed as usual by your utilitytheres no penalty or added cost. There is never any cost to sign up or to leave the program.

I know this experience has been frustrating, and I appreciate you giving us the chance to address it. We want to earn back your trust.

    Sincerely,
    *****
    Solstice Community Solar
