    In September 2022 Cranney replaced the furnace in my house. On February 12, 2025, my new plumber was doing some work in my basement and noticed that the exhaust pipe coming out from the furnace is not installed properly and may leak CO2 throughout my house. He suggested calling Cranney and Peabody City plumbing inspector to clarify the situation. On February 13, 2025, I called Cranney and asked about permits and inspections. They tried to convince me that everything was done right and I have nothing to worry about. I didn't believe them and made them email me the permits. The permits looked incomplete and raised my suspicion, so I called the City of Peabody inspector. The inspector confirmed that there were no inspections done. Same evening Cranney sent their manager to check the problem. He agreed that the exhaust pipe is not angled properly, not sealed properly, and may result in CO2 leakage. He also agreed that both pipes (exhaust and air intake) should have a stronger support. He said that Cranney is eager to fix that. WHY WOULD I WANT THEM BACK IN MY HOUSE AFTER THEY DIDNT DO THE *** RIGHT THE FIRST TIME? THEY COULD HAVE KILLED ME AND MY FAMILY WITH THEIR INCOMPETENT WORK!!! I FOUND OUT ABOUT IT BY ACCIDENT AFTER OVER 2 YEARS OF LIVING WITH THIS TICKING BOMB IN MY BASEMENT!!! GREAT ***, CRANNEY!!!I told the manager that I dont want Cranney back in my house. I requested a refund. Their manager acknowledged my concerns and promised to call the next day. Crickets... I have to fix it at my expense.Cranney is a profit driven greedy company that has no concern about the job they do or their customer`s safety. They dont want to take any responsibility and should lose their license to operate before they kill someone. I cannot stop thinking about that tragedy that happened in 2024, when a family of 3 people in Nahant died due to CO2 poisoning. That could have been me or my family. It gives me chills just to think about it. STAY AWAY FROM CRANNEY AT ANY COST!!!

    They took advantage of me financially. They did decent work for the electrical issue. They overcharged me by 3 times to replace a 9 volt battery in a smoke detector. Im upset. Wont hire them again.

    I hired ******************* to winterize a summer home in November, 2022 because our regular plumber was ill. They assured me that they would winterize the house and drain all the pipes including those under the house. I spoke to their plumber on the phone, and he assured me that all the pipes under the house were drained. When my regular plumber opened ** the house in April, the pipes under the house had not been drained, and had rusted and burst. I spoke to the Cranney customer service rep, who said she understood why I was upset, and someone would get back to me. No one did. I followed up with a letter to the owner asking that they pay the overage to replace the burst pipes. Again no one answered me. I do not recommend that anyone use their services.
