**** was very professional and efficient - he respected my requests of him and kept his area clean. He was mindful to use drop cloths and clean up after himself. He clearly communicated his findings and w photos when giving explanations. I felt he did a great job and would absolutely recommend him to neighbors and friends in the area!

Wish I could give 0 stars. They came in with a very low price and once they were at the house to do the actual work everything was additional. Then when I agreed to the additional cost (didn't have a choice, needed a working chimney before heating season and it was September) they billed for a cost even higher than that which I was never informed of or consented to.The Chimney Chap, Inc.

After some researching we show the project you are referring to is from September 2021. We're truly sorry to hear about your experience. Its never our intention to cause frustration or confusion, and we regret that the pricing and communication did not meet your expectations.When we began working on the top of the chimney to repair the cracked crownwash, the bricks were falling apart and did need the top corbel of the chimney to be rebuilt, which resulted in an additional cost of $600.00. This is something that would be impossible to identify at the initial inspection and when we provided the proposal. We also repointed approximately 60 bricks at no charge. We did communicate this with you on the same day of the scheduled repairs and did not perform any work until you approved. This is a strict policy we have and would never perform any work without communicating with the customer and sending them a change order.

5 starsI had my pellet stove serviced 9/9/24 by ******* and **** , my husband and I were so happy with this ************************* ******* and **** took the whole stove apart to clean and were very methodical and knowledgeable about my stove.. My husband also told ******* that when the stove shuts down we get a vibration on the Custom Backing Plate on the stove which makes a lot of noise in the process of shutting down., With that information ******* knew just how to fix the problem by adding some additional screws to the back Plate and needless to say we are very impressed and Happy with the results.. ******* also suggested that we pre Book for next year and will lock us in for a cleaning for next year 9/9/25 which makes the process less stressful and convenient for us that they will remind us in advance about the cleaning.. I recently had my chimney serviced and a gas log installed by Chimney Chaps/South Shore Fireplace. They were very knowledgeable and professional. They handled both jobs expeditiously and completely. They were neat, clean and efficient. They worked seamlessly with the town fire department, inspector and energy provider. ************ *************, We recently hired Chimney Chaps to repair our failed **** flues with stainless linings ********* the men ran into some "dead ends" which made the job go longer than intended . without going into all the details all; can say that they took care of everything to the 110%. I am a retired *********/builder so i" Know the trades". On a scale of 1-10 I give them a 12! So go to chimney Chaps for your chimney repairs. I cant help but saying going to a one piece stainless liner improved my draw immenselyThe Chimney Chap, Inc.

We were told by our oil company that the damper on the furnace wasnt working at 100%. We made a call to Chimney Chaps to have an inspection. ************ came out to do the work. He knew it needed a thorough cleaning. Once he completed that, he informed my husband the liner and some of the tiles needed to be replaced. **** left an estimate and we called to make an appointment for the repairs. The two employees who came to do the work were professional, friendly and very neat. They realized a couple more tiles needed to be replaced. They let us know there would be an additional charge to the estimate before they finished up. We will be having them back in the spring to do some brickwork to the exterior of the chimney.The Chimney Chap, Inc.

I called and was able to get an appointment 3 business days later. ********** was the technician who did the work. He was very polite and professional. Our chimney hadnt been swept in 3+ years and **** said it was pretty dirty, but that once cleaned, it was in great working order! He recommended another annual cleaning next year to see what kind of build up we get and then go from there. Very positive experience working with The Chimney Chap.The Chimney Chap, Inc.
