I received a good mortgage rate with DCU but things went downhill from there. Initially, in my closing documents, my rate was increased without disclosure. This was ultimately fixed, and I thought it would be smooth sailing from there; however, DCU's technology does not allow me to make auto payments from my checking account. *** wants me to hold money in a low interest DCU savings account and make my monthly mortgage payments from there. This is my first-time providing BBB feedback and I hope this information influences at least one person to use a different company.

Fraud prevention is an absolute joke. They will inform you of suspicious activity, tell you the card has been frozen and then let a few more charges go through. Then to add insult to injury will then argue with YOU about it as if it is your fault, and make you wait at least 10 days to get your money back on a card that they told you they were freezing charges on. Loan rates are terrible. My dealership had much more to offer and they dont have a relationship with me.We used to love this credit union but lost pandemic it has been HORRIBLE.We are preparing to switch by the end of the year. **************** is an actual thing that people get elsewhere from what I hear. Maybe spend less on new shiny buildings and more on training and employee retention.

We got a good mortgage rate with DCU but that's where the positives stop. Our experience with this credit union has been absolutely terrible. We almost missed our closing date because of DCU. We had to reach out to upper management to help finalize our loan in time despite FIVE WEEKS of runway. The lack of communication and updates was truly shocking---we were left in the dark most of the time despite a ridiculous amount of calls and emails (left unanswered by DCU staff). And now we're having constant issues with the online banking experience. Please avoid at all costs.

I have had just about every problem with the *** that other reviewers have mentioned. Hours on hold to reach a "customer service" rep with no experience, no knowledge and no authority. Passed from one loan officer to the next. Disastrous conversion to a system the is worse than the replaced one. Not a commercial bank, even though the *** says they are. Long holds on deposits over $5500. The list goes on.I've opened an accounting with another CU and in the processing go moving my funds.

I have been a DCU member for decades but DCU has recently (in about the last two months) begun blocking logins to their website if the member is using an VPN. When I contacted them about this problem they first told me that they couldn't allow connections from unknown locations, but when I pressed them it became clear this was DCU policy, not a legal requirement. Further, I was informed that I wasn't the only person with this problem and they were attempting to find a resolution. As of 8/12/2022 no resolution has been accomplished. While I understand DCU's concerns, the data involved are mine, not theirs. I have been the victim of two major identity hacks **************** along with millions of other people, and whatever measures we feel are necessary to protect our on-line presence should not be restricted by DCU's policies. I am a whisker away from closing multiple cash and credit card accounts with DCU and moving elsewhere.

It's a scam guys just to increase their memberships and get your direct deposit. I was offered ****% interest loan contingent on the fact that I apply for the membership. I applied for the membership and they always kept it "Under Review' status. I called the *** customer service after a week and was told that she had expediated my process. After a week, the membership application was still under review. I called again. This time a gentleman (nice guy but not helpful at all) responded to my call and told me that he is going to expediate my membership application. He did expediate and approved my membership. However once the membership got approved, i was told it's been a few weeks and interest rate increased to ****%. Of course! It's been more than two weeks because that is the time you guys took to approve my membership. I explained the situation, no help. Now, they made another counter offer: ****% but i have to open direct deposit account (still higher interest rate and on top it, one more demand). I don't like to be scammed so openly as if i am the dumbest person in the world. Hence i asked them to cancel everything. In summary this is how the scam process works: Here is the sweet deal but you have to do so and so. Once you do so and so, the sweet deal changes and isn't sweet anymore. I wish i could give 0 star or negative stars to these scammers.

DO NOT OPEN ANY ACCOUNT WITH DIGITAL CREDIT UNION!!! This "bank" is absolutely the worst! Anytime there is an issue this bank chooses to lock its clients out of their accounts. I have been locked out of my accounts for three weeks now! When you call customer service you will be on hold for a minimum of thirty minutes before having someone who cannot actually help you. Who then "transfers your call" which means another long period of being on hold. I cannot say enough bad things about DCU. They need to be investigated for withholding funds and blocking access to peoples finances.
