I contracted with JMD on November 22 2023 to transport my boat. They took a small deposit 150. Between that date and today January 25 2024 they promised to ship it at least a dozen times. A variety of reasons were given, employee illness, truck break downs, weather they even claimed the *** stopped all truck traffic once. They once said they could pick it up then said but only for DOUBLE the contracted rate. Finally this week they said they just cant do it. I said fine just refund my deposit. They sent back half saying I cancelled so they retain half. Its only 75 bucks but they could not fulfill the contract. Dishonest, untrustworthy, scum bags.Initial Complaint

THIS TRANSACTION INVOLVED THE TRANSPORT OF A VEHICLE FROM ******* TO **********. DUE TO CERTAIN CALIFORNIA REQUIREMENTS, I HAD TO CANCEL THE TRANSPORT. JMD LOGISTICS REQUIRED A $150 DEPOSIT, WHICH I SENT THEM THROUGH "ZELLE". I UNDERSTOOD THAT IF I DID CANCEL THE TRANSPORT, I WOULD BE CHARGED 50% OF MY DEPOSIT, WHICH WOULD BE $75.00. IT HAS BEEN OVER A MONTH, AND ******************* HAS NOT RETURNED MY MULTIPLE EMAILS, OR PHONE CALLS, ASKING HIM TO SEND ME BACK THE BALANCE OF MY DEPOSIT, THROUGH "ZELLE" -- THE SAME METHOD THEY REQUIRED ME TO SEND THEM THE $150.00. IT IS MY FEELING, THAT, SINCE THEY DEFAULTED ON THEIR REQUIREMENT, THEY SHOULD SEND ME BACK A "FULL" REFUND OF $150.00, I ACCEPTED THEIR TERMS , BUT THEY DID NOT FULL-FILLED THEIR OBLIGATION TO HONOR THEIR OWN TERMS. Paid $150 on 12/22/2023 and was told I will get an email confirming my pick up. No email! So I called ***** again on 12/23/2023 to remind him and he said I will receive the email. Been calling all week as of 12/28/2023 and now it seems like my calls are going to voicemail!!!!!Before I made a payment, every call and question was answered. AFTER making my payment with *****, I am still waiting on the email to confirm my driver and now the phone is going to voicemail. A competitor warned me about using JMD, and now Im stuck not knowing if my car will be picked up and my children need a vehicle to get to daycare. I am soooooo angry with JMD and I will be posting this review on ALL platforms and social media and news outlets.Business Response

With so many scams these days, I was just taking precautionary measures to protect myself since I did not know about the schedule. Thank you for your prompt attention. On 14 December I received a quote from *********************** from JMD Logistics LLC to ship my ****** from ************ to ********** **. The business contacted me both via email and text messages.I have attached the agreement and text messages for your review. The pickup date was supposed to be 15 December. On 15 December when the car was not picked up, I contacted the business, and they informed me, the car would be picked up between the evening of 15 December ad the morning of 16 December by ****. I have not been able to get a hold of the business since 15 December. The business website is ***********************, phone number ************ and the address is ***************************. I made an upfront deposit of $100 Via Zelle. My resolution is to get refunded my $100 for a service that was never rendered and to warn other consumers. I would have agreed to another resolution however I have failed to get a hold of the business as of 15 December, they have not answered my call and I get an automatic text message. I called today 18 December and received a text message instead. Please assist me with getting my refund back. I understand your frustration., But as per our agent *********************** ,He have provide you the services .He do talked with you on the phone call so we haven't have any proof of the phone call .He have provide you the driver for the pickup of your vehicle for the 16th of dec 2023. He called you and told you that their is a little price change of just $75 and you told him that you will only pay the contracted amount and start yelling at him for that .as per our contract it has been clearly mentioned that the price we have quoted you is an estimated price for the shipment. I have attached the snapshot of our contract which shows that the price is an estimate price .On the other side you told our agent *********************** that please cancel my shipment i don't want to ship the vehicle anymore .So as per our contract $75 is the cancellation fees the rest $25 you will surely get the refund of $25 through zelle. Rightnow the only thing is that our Zelle is not working due to some reasons **** of America has been removed that and we are working on this to get it runs again once we have our zelle on working condition we will surely refund your $25 through zelle .Please wait for some days once we have it running we will surely refund you the $25 in your zelle account. I was in communication with ******************* an employee of JMD logistics to see if I could ship a dirt bike from CA to GA. I paid a deposit if $150 after I received a quote on 11/7. **** called the next day asking for me to accept a potential transporter offer that was higher than what he quoted me. I decided to leave the dirt bike in CA and requested a refund via email and text message on 11/8/2023. **** was telling me via text that I would get my refund but that did not happen and all contact was stopped. The number he used was no longer accepting my calls. I was not getting responses from the email as well. I have proof and as of today 12/4/2023 I have not received a refund.Customer Answer

I have not heard from the business in response to my complaint. This business has not refunded my money in several attempts with them before contacting BBB & after filing the complaint with BBB. I reached out to them from several numbers after they was intentionally blocking numbers I was calling from. I spoke with a supervisor or someone claiming to be a supervisor and was told they was going to refund me BUT this has NEVER happened! This is disgraceful, and bad business practice.
