      i purchased online groceries 5/24/2024 for pick up at the hazard ave enfield ct store payment was made by me ahead of the pick up using my checking account picked up order then about 3 days ago i get email saying my account was closed payment couldnt be processed due to account closed i didnt use that account over 6 yrs called peapod account which i did not select for payment they also want $30 overdraft fee for not being able to withdraw the $50.96 payment its their error im willing to pay what is owed but not fee that wasnt my error

      Thank you for contacting us.

      We are frequently asked not to sell certain products for various reasons. We certainly understand and appreciate the different points of view. However, we don't believe we should make this choice for our customers. Customers who choose not to purchase lobsters from our stores have the right to do so. Others who wish to buy them should be able to as well. We have researched how to best handle live lobsters in our stores. 

      The *******************'s ***************** provides the information below about a lobster's ability to feel pain. There may be disagreement on this matter and we continue to stay informed of the issues. 

      "Do Lobsters Feel Pain? 

      The ***************** has received many inquiries about whether boiling lobsters is humane. Being concerned about this important question, researchers conducted experiments and studied the lobster's nervous system. The nervous system of a lobster is very primitive; in fact it most similar to the nervous system of an insect. If one compares the diagram of a lobster's nervous system to that of a grasshopper, the similarities are apparent. Neither insects nor lobsters have brains. For an organism to perceive pain it must have a complex nervous system. Neurophysiologists tell us that lobsters, like insects, do not process pain." 

      Please also know that we do many things to maintain a healthy living environment for lobsters at our stores. The water is aerated, filtered and measured to the correct salinity. The water is maintained at a very cold temperature to mimic North Atlantic winter conditions. All tanks have a bio-wheel that helps to keep the required nutrients for the lobsters in the tank while we have them. In winter, lobsters become dormant, and will stay healthier in transit and storage. The claws are banded, and not pegged to protect the lobsters, our associates and our customers. 

       Please know that I have forwarded your email to our seafood merchandisers should this ever be something they want to reconsider in the future.

      I purchased this chicken just this past week and when I went to use it today one whole breast looked pretty much white and both of them had a pretty strong smell, it says they was packaged on the 20th and would be sellable till the 31st but today is the 27th and they spolied. I really like nature promise chicken but it's been incredibly hard to find good fresh tenders or b****** lately at either stop and shop or Hannafords.

      Stop and Shop supermarket ( store 810) in ********** , ** Our family has shopped at Stop and Shop for many years and we have never had any problems until today . As elderly people special my self is disabled person , we like this supermarket: very clean with good variety of food , always sales , so we can save some money, special this days.This week's circular (May *****) advertises digital deals for California red cherries for $2.49 /lb , limit 4 pounds. Coupon was downloaded to my cellphones stop and shop application.Card # *************. When I downloaded the coupon price shows in application as $2.99 instead of $2.49 that was shown in the circular and price in the store.When we tried to pay on self checkout the digital coupons did not appear for a discount. We asked the person who works on self checkout to manually enter code for cherry and it came out with price $2.99 per pound. I showed the circular with a price $2.49 , she said that we should go to regular cashier.In regular checkout Cherrys were $2.99 per pound as well .When I came to customer service , the representative said that everything is right, I got the correct $9 saving. However when I asked her to calculate price for 3.63 lb Cherries for price $2.49 , she understood that Cherries were incorrectly calculated $2.99 instead of $2.49.I feel it is deceptive advertising and misleads consumers. It was very frustrating, the cherries should have shown up as $2.49 and I shouldnt have had to prove to anyone that I was being honest. It was very frustrating.I just wonder how many people paid $2.99 per pound instead of $2.49 Please find attached photo form digital coupon , circular and receipt.       Store is charging NYS bottle deposit fee on non alcoholic beer not marked for return.I purchased a 12 pack of Budweiser 0 alcohol and they added $ 0.60 for the deposit.Item is not marked for return and can't get the money back.Store management doesn't have an explanation about this matter and not willing to correct the problem .

      The company stop and shop is posting false job advertisements please check indeed for examples and feel free to reach out to me for more info. They are posting positions that dont exist and they are also posting positions that require multiple job codes but arent following standard procedures. They also are posting posting ones that arent the actual job you apply for I have proof from the ***** point location and the smithtown one.

      Today, I decided to go shopping for meat with my sister at a supermarket called Stop and Shop. While looking at sausages and steak meat, one of the employees asked in Spanish, "What are you looking for?" I responded with "steak meat." He then called me "cabezn," which means "big head" in a derogatory way, and said I needed to be more specific. I ignored the remark because my sister was with me and told him I wanted meat for grilling but was planning to buy a lot to compare prices with ***********************. He rudely suggested I go to *********************** and not to come back just to buy sausages.This was especially upsetting as I had never met this employee before, and he disrespected me in front of my family. I am a cybersecurity student on the presidential list of honor, and I found his behavior completely inappropriate. Angered, I left the sausage in the cart and asked to speak with a manager. A helpful woman who was organizing the store found a manager for me. I explained the situation and described the employee as having a *****, working in the meat department, and appearing to be Puerto Rican with dark skin. The manager assured me he would address the issue with the employee Who is this guy to tell me in front of my family dont come back if you are only coming to buy a sausage.Worse supermarket ever I hope this can be post it online

      I purchased a Macys gift card from store 529 on May 8 as a gift for my wife Mothers Day. Try to use it this morning and it would not work. She called Macys. ***** had told her the car had been used in April and please go back to the store and ask for a new one or refund. I went to the store with this information. I went to the customer service window and met with the same woman who I had purchased the card from originally. I was told first the card was defective then I was told it was processed correctly on our part. You need to make a complaint with ***** we will not give you a refund , I was shocked. Ive been at the store since day 25 years ago felt very slighted went home and told my wife. She called Macys again and was told by ***** that the card had a zero balance or it was defective. What should she do again? She was told to go to the store where it was purchased. Now she went to the store and spoke to the manager the lady at the window and got nowhere and was told that they will not honor a refund or just a simple exchange for card and then Stop & Shop would deal with it , Im hoping you could help it. Weve been loyal customers a whole family.
