    I use to book my flights thru student universe and was great! Recently, I have book a flight to ********* for my cousin and the tickets were never book thru the airline. A week later, I book a second booking and was release right away with the first booking. Then, when I attempt to cancel within 24 hours of the second booking. No one response at all. At the end I had to do a reimbursement thru my credit card for the second booking. On the day of the flight, the airline told us that we can't board and issue the ticket for the flight. I called student universe, but no one picked up the line. So, we end up missing the flight and had to re-book thru the airline actual site. I try calling student universe again for the refunds of the tickets for the first booking since it was not my fault that I couldn't board the flight. They said they will refund the money and haven't heard anything from then. I just want my ~$5,000 worth of ticket that I never use refund back. It not even my fault, they just have bad customer service line and why do I have to pay so much money for the company not doing there job. I don't even know if those tickets I purchase are real or not anymore since the airline was able to issue them on the day off.

    I have never written a negative review for any service in my life, but I have to for this. I booked a flight a week out through the service. The day after they cancelled my flight because the fare had gone up, effectively refusing to uphold their end. They issued a refund but said it would take 7-10 business days (two weeks) to get back to my bank. The problem was that I needed that money back in order to book another flight. After an hour on the phone with them I still was unable to get my money back in a timely fashion. After reading other recent reviews, this seems like a relatively new and unfortunate pattern of behavior for them. Definitely do not use this service.

    Bought ticket and paid 117 dollars extra for reserved seats. 2 months later discovered that company never reserved the seats, never informed me they had not done so. Did not respond to messages on their website, put me on hold for hours and never answered. Finally told me they would refund the money, 3 days before my flight, leaving me with no seats and unable to arrange my own seats because they are a third party and ********** does not allow purchasers from third party suppliers to select seats.

    I had a good experience with Studentuniverse until recently when they did a system upgrade and do not have a working app anymore. I couldnt even access the itinerary of an international return trip to manage my trip as I needed to reschedule the second leg of the trip which was shown to be eligible for a change (plus fare difference, if any) when I made the booking on the app on Dec 24, 2024. I had used the first leg of the trip on Jan 18th and after that, I spoke to four different *****s who told me different things. The first ***** told me about a change fee of $100 and requested the new date I wanted but I wasnt certain at the time and I told her Id call back. The second ***** asked me to reach out to the airline while the third and fourth didnt help at all, telling me that I couldnt change the date. The fourth even promised to send a follow up email through the appropriate team to have the flight rescheduled but I never got an email. I had a feeling that she said that to get me off the phone. I have sent several emails to their email addresses including their schedule change and special requests email addresses but never got a reply and I never got on the flight.I have gone ahead to book a new one way flight directly on United and all I need from student universe is a refund because that was a $842 flight.

    This company refused to refund me for the early pandemic cancellations. I tried for 2 years, starting with the date of the cancellation, to speak with somebody and get either a credit or a refund. They never responded despite multiple attempts to call (hours of wait, and when I left my number for a callback, absolutely no callback) or email. When I filed a complaint they instantly reached out with a rude and dismissive email saying I never contacted them during this period.This is the company that made me decide to never work with 3rd party agencies again, but among all agencies I used before they are the shadiest and most dismissive.Their prices arent much cheaper and they will definitely leave you without any resolution if/when anything goes wrong.Please, for the sake of the remnants of dignity of businesses among the corporate greed that companies like this are sucked in, DO NOT use this business.I put my date as recent but this has been an ordeal of years. Its too late to recover my money and they have already doubled down on making me the scapegoat, but this legal scam still hurts to this day.

    I had a flight from ****** to the **, a route that I had booked many times through studentuniverse and always had good experiences. Recently they shut down their Canada website, but it seems that the transitionon did not go smoothly at all. I had made a mistake booking my flight, but despite my varied attempts to get through to their customer service I never heard back at all. I could not access my flight information because it did not automatically transfer to the US site, and when I reached out to customer service to access my flight info I never heard back over email. I could not get through to them on the phone because I needed my reservation number, which I could not access in the first place. This was in December and despite multiple follow up emails I have not heard back from them at all. I'm disappointed because StudentUniverse has been great in the past but I am now hesitant to book with them.
