Received this letter in the mail yesterday. So I am seeing poor quality pictures that only show a caliper with scratches on the outside of it. None of the other issues were even addressed. The flyer is from  ******* and does not prove what they had said about the dealership (whom i called and spoke to myself) refusing to return the core fee. The core fee also is INCLUDED in the cost of the new part, so why was i CHARGED for it? Technically that would mean that i am owed $120 for the core. The pictures provided do not explain why I was also charged for roadside service when that never happened, or the receipts from price gouging on every part they claimed to have replaced without my consent (brake pads, brake hose, caliper bolts, brake fluid). I expected them to try covering for themselves, however they have not acknowledged any of the other major issues reported.pt the broken one. I called the dealer they claimed parts came from and confirmed the lies i was told. I was also charged $40 for 2 bottles of brake fluid which is unheard of as brake fluid is between $4-$7 per bottle anywhere. A brake hose which i did not need, they charged $73 for and was $11 everywhere else. They refused to show reciepts. On top of all the price gouging, i was also charged $185 for an hour of roadside labor and mileage fee of 5 miles, both of which never happened as no labor was done on my vehicle until in the shop where i drove to myself. There is also a fake sublet fee tacked on which is highly suspicious as the only people who worked on my vehicle were their employees. They put it was "a temporary fix"even though i was overcharged for"grade A parts" I was then coursed into paying them, signing acknowledgements against my will,in fear of my car being sabatoged. They are good at covering up,and will say whatever they can.Im sure theyll respond here, blaming me too

On January 15 th approximately 2:30 pm ************************* had issues with her brakes and brought her vehicle to ********************* at ************************ ***********, ****. ******** manager informed her that they did not make that type of repair and suggested to her that Daves Truck Repair could take care of her issues. We spoke to the manager at ******** and gave him our rates for road service. He relayed the rate to *************************. Our Labor rate for road service is 185.00 per hr. with a two-hr. minimum. ***************** agreed to the charges. We sent ************** to the ******** location. Our technician found the right rear brake caliper mounting bolts broken and the caliper broken from rubbing on the wheel. The vehicle had been driven for quite a distance with this issue. Our Technician realized it was more than just a caliper replacement. He suggested to ***************** to follow him back to the shop, due to the repairs needed. The broken caliper mounting bolt needed to be extracted from axle. The brake pads were damaged from the caliper moving around and rubbing on the wheel. Also, the labor rate at the shop is 40.00 per hr. less. ***************** agreed to come to shop. She followed our technician back to the shop. We immediately brought the vehicle into shop since it was getting late in the day and the shop closes at 5:00 PM. We disassembled what needed to be taken apart. The parts distributor we ordered parts from was unable to deliver the parts needed. We sent a driver to pick up the parts. As far as the mounting bolts needed our distributor or the dealer did not have them in stock. It was too late in the day to overnight them. We installed grade 8 bolts, which were sufficient, but the proper bolts should be installed when ***************** gets home. We also had to replace the brake hose by going to caliper because the old hose would not seat correctly. Then the brakes needed to be bled. Which was done.
One hr. road service labor was charged due to the fact we get a labor charge from the time we leave the shop to the time we get back. Normally we charge a two-hr. minimum. We only charged 1 hr.
The mileage charge was also for picking up parts needed.
The caliper was not accepted for a core charge due to the damage to the caliper.

The pictures attached show the damage to the caliper, the missing bolt and the flyer from the dealer regarding the non-returnability of caliper that was broken. There was a note from the dealer in the box with the caliper returned to the customer.
