My two comforters after washing them and putting it in the and dryer . Are now ruinedI was told that there is a sign. Saying wash at your own risk. At **************** in the laundromat . 05/23/2025 I have call this company multiple times about the dryers on this floor they never dry your clothes It takes sometimes 8$!to dry one load of clothes because the dryers DON'T get hot they charge 2$ to dry and 2$ to wash and I wind up spending 15 dollars of 2 load of clothes to dry this is totally unacceptable when your in a building with a laundry room it shouldn't take me 12 extra dollars to dry clothesBusiness Response

I initially called to file a complaint on November 12, 2024 due to washer did not drain water at end of cycle. I was told my money would be refunded,$1.75. I called back on November 15th to inquire about the the refund. Was told I was on the list and refund would be mailed to me. It's November 29th and I have not received my refund. August 26th 2024, I called this business to inform them that their cash kiosk has malfunctioned and taken my money. I attempted to add $10 to my laundry card and when I went to use it I was informed that there was no money on the card. I called FMB laundry to start a refund request and went through the process and was told that the refund should be finished by the end of that week and that to check Monday, which happened to be Labor Day 2024, and if the money was not on my account to call back. I called back September 3rd 2024 and was then informed that management needed to approve my request to add the money back on to my digital account. The employee that I spoke with, his name is *****, and they don't give last names. I have dealt with ***** pretty much the entire time and he now tells me that the refunds could take up to 30 days and I'm now at 30 days and when I call they told me they will escalate the issue to a supervisor and have them call me and nobody has called me. It has now been 30 days and I still have not been refunded my money. I live in federally funded HUD housing and I'm also in a very rural area. The closest store that accepts food stamps is 5 mi away. The residents that live in this building are on strict incomes through SSI and disability, so we don't have transportation and money to use frivolously. I'm not able to drive due to my disability and I don't have another option to go to a different laundromat. This is the company that provides laundry services in my building with washers and dryers. I feel like the company is taking advantage of me and nothing is being done about the faulty kiosk nor my refund.Business Response

Thank you very much for your response and action in my complaint. For the message from the business, yes, my money was refunded to my account. I was able to follow up with the business by repeat calls and having an urgent sense of tone with them and expressing my extreme dissatisfaction. This refund had been going over a month's time and the amount of time that they took to complete the refund, was like 4 days. And I had to harass them over a 30 day period and make this complaint to your agency. The building that I live in is HUD housing and is specifically for 50 plus and or disabled individuals. This company does not follow through with service requests and in the instance that a person does show up, they're very unprofessional and don't seek to solve any issues that we present them with. My residence is in ************ and their company is in ******** and I've expressed to them that I feel like it's highway robbery. There are a few other households in this building that suffered a financial loss with that company and one person when trying to get a refund of $4 was told they wouldn't give him the refund because if he was stupid enough to try a broken machine a second time they won't give him his money back. This company was not easy to get a refund even started and minimal contact on their end. I have no other choice but to use this company for my laundry needs because I also live in a very rural area and I couldn't even begin to tell you where the closest laundromat would be. I'm thinking possibly 15 miles or more. I have epilepsy so I don't have a driver's license so I'm stuck using this company. But all in all, I'm very satisfied with the better Business bureau. I've been contacting FMB Laundry through their app, email, and phone calls since Summer of 2023 for a technician to come out to service the Washers & Dryers in our Apartment Building. I've gotten no response until April 4th of this year! I received an email from an Alesyn saying that they put in a "Service Request" and a technician would be out soon. I responded asking when/how soon will someone be out and I didn't get a response. I called on April 15th and left a voicemail for Alesyn regarding the technician coming out and I've yet heard from someone.
My husband contacted the rental office thinking they would help, but didn't heed any resolution.
I find this unprofessional on both parties (FMB Laundry and our rental office) that no one wants to make sure this service is rendered due to their tenants using the machines on a regular basis. We've been resulted into going to the laundry mat spending MORE MONEY than needed.Business Response

I explained in numerous Ticket Requests that it was a birds nest in the ducting. I asked if it was a maintenance issue or their issue so I knew who to properly contact. Only one dryer is working completely. I used them yesterday (04/22/24) Dryer #3 clothes were not dry after 60 minutes of drying time. And it was a very small load. I also put in tickets for the washer #2. Water is sitting in the Fabric Softener Well. When I started my wash, there was no water, but at the end of the cycle, there was water. I'm curious if there should be routine maintenance on these machines.Business Response

I’m emailing to formally address ongoing issues with the laundry machines provided by FMB at **** **** **** ****** Arlington, VA 22202 (***** ***** *****). Despite previous complaints, the machines continue to malfunction regularly, causing inconvenience and damage to residents' property.
For several months, I have encountered consistent problems with the laundry machines and dryers going out of order frequently, resulting in delays and frustration. Most recently, I experienced a distressing incident where my clothes became stuck in one of the malfunctioning washers, further exacerbating the inconvenience (was reported to the receptionist).
However, the pinnacle of my dissatisfaction occurred yesterday 02.19.2024, when utilizing one of the dryers (number 39 at around 6.30 pm), which unfortunately stained my two t-shirts and most importantly an expensive sweatshirt, as evidenced in the attached photo and the photo of the sweatshirt’s price. This incident represents a significant financial loss and highlights the unacceptable state of the laundry facilities provided.
In light of these recurring issues and the damage incurred, I demand a full refund for the cost of the garment that was damaged. It is imperative that immediate action is taken to rectify the malfunctioning machines and ensure the provision of adequate laundry services to all residents.
I expect a prompt response outlining the steps being taken to address these concerns and the proposed resolution to compensate for the damaged clothing. Failure to do so will leave me no choice but to escalate this matter further.

This complaint was received on 2/20/24 at 9:04 AM.
The resident states that clothing was left with black marks caused by machine. The resident provided images that were not taken in this location’s laundry facility.
We informed the resident that we would need to dispatch a technician to the location before we could determine what may have caused this issue and if this issue was indeed caused by our equipment.
The resident replied that this was un-acceptable and threatened legal re-course and demanded a $20 refund and immediate payment for damaged items.
We dispatched a technician on 2/21 who visited the site and did a thorough inspection of the machine and could find nothing that could have caused such markings. Photos of the tear down of the machine are attached to this email.
The resident also states that these machines are constantly in a state of malfunction. This is untrue. This location is visited bi-weekly for preventative maintenance/cleaning and is also visited a minimum of once a week for routine service during which the laundry room is inspected for any faulty equipment.
This resident has contacted us two times in the past both demanding refunds and providing vague statements about other machines and on each occasion the machines that were stated as inoperable were found to be in good clean working condition.
On a final note, I would also like to point out that in multiple locations in this laundry room there are signs directing residents to use these machines at their own risk.
As a onetime courtesy, we will make the requested refund of $175.00.

******** companies apartments (formally known as *** *** ***** apartments) in Camp Hill PA has 2 washing machines and 2 drying machines in the buildings for tenants to use. These machines are owned and serviced by FMB laundry. These machines have been absolutely disgusting the whole 2 going on 3 years I have lived in this apartment complex. There is mold in the soap dispensers, slime in and around the washing machines, slime sludge and foreign objects inside the seal within the washing machines. The washers constantly go out of service mid way thru the cycle, leaving tenants the only option to pay more money to use the second washer and we just pray the second washer won't go out of service mid way thru either. The top drying machine does not dry and both dryers have melted plastic in them which has ruined my laundry. I have complained to FMB laundry directly and to the landlord of the apartments multiple times and have not seen any changes. I speak for myself and all the tenants at this complex when I say we should have the right to a clean and maintained laundry room if this is going to be listed on the lease as an amenity for tenants. I used FMB laundry app to do laundry with and they ripped me off I had $8.25 to start with then I looked at the app and it knocked me clear down to $2.00; the app shows I only used $2.00 once. And I tried to send a complaint through the app and via email and haven't had one but of a response from them.
