Dear Better Business Bureau, I am writing to report the terrible moving job done by Orly Moving. My experience with this company was extremely disappointing and frustrating. Several of my items were damaged during the move. The movers were careless and reckless, dropping and tossing boxes and furniture around as if they did not care about the contents inside. I am extremely disappointed and frustrated by the poor service and lack of professionalism displayed by Orly Moving. But the worst part of my experience with Orly Moving was their complete lack of concern for customer satisfaction. When I contacted the company to report the damage and missing items, they simply referred to our contract. They were unresponsive and uncooperative. They showed no remorse or willingness to make things right, and it was clear that they did not value me as a customer. In my opinion, Orly Moving does not understand the concept of a "customer for life." They seem to prioritize their own convenience and profits over the needs and satisfaction of their clients. I do not recommend this company to anyone and urge others to avoid using their services. Sincerely,

    Orly Moving Systems, Inc.

Hello. Your move was completed on August 18th 2022 and you filed your claim on November 4th 2022. You are correct - per your signed estimate and move contract, all claims must be submitted within 14 days of the move's completion. In addition, no exceptions were written on your Bill of Lading at the end of your move. Your signature on the move contract at delivery attests to this, without any notations regarding loss or damage. However, you did call us immediately after your move to inform us that items were left behind, despite completing a walk-through with your foreman at the end of your move, and to let us know an item was placed in the incorrect location. We sent you movers, free of charge, to correct this. At no time were damages mentioned until November 4th. Yet, due to our desire for a positive customer experience, we were willing to process your claim using the coverage you selected on the day of your move, despite being beyond the allowed time frame. We expressed concern and took into consideration all of your distresses before providing you with compensation for your claimed items. It was only after your check was received in the mail that you sent us an accusatory and inappropriate email. Orly Moving has been in business for 30 years and our reputation proceeds us. Thank you for your business and we wish you all the best in the future.

This letter is in response to Orly Moving's comments.
You're correct. We did not respond to file a claim until all boxes were unpacked, to be able to assess the complete damage. We would have responded sooner except it took until November to go through all the boxes, because they were neither placed in an organized way nor were they packed with any due diligence.
Of course no comments were made on the Bill of Lading. How were we supposed to assess damage with unpacked boxes placed in an unorganized manner everywhere?
Thanks for making an exception to your non-customer friendly claim timeframe policy. There should be no time limitations on when a claim could be filed. That's my point. Your policies are neither reasonable nor customer friendly.
The amount of your reimbursement is an insult compared to the dollar amount of damage incurred.
You're right, I sent you an email that was not only accurate but very appropriate.
And yes, Orly Moving has been in business for 30 years. If you continue to create unfriendly customer policies and handle all moves the way you handled ours, I doubt you'll be in business for another 30.
