2 stars1-10 days standard to TN? Well how about IL? My pickup was 14th on October and as I write this review 10/29/2024, I have yet to receive my belongings (Not even a dispatch date). So far this company has given me a veteran's discount but already have figured out expenses that far exceed said discount and have yet to even schedule my delivery. I can't prove them to be scam artists as yet, but I am looking for representation because as others have mentioned which has rang true for my experience, is they do not honor in the least the initial quote (not even close) and find ways to increase cost and not delivery in a timely manner. My entire life is on hold waiting for my belongings for my apartment and all I get daily is a reminder message that they cannot issue delivery date. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY.Review fromTerry H

First thing, they arrival 2 hours late. I needed to have some of my appliances put in storage so we have to be there by 6:: 00 PM. We missed that deadline. Next thing, they broke my daughters 32 in tv and also a 6 foot bookcase. I called them several times and also left them text messages. Regarding the broken TV and bookcase, we want to assure you that we have not received any emails, text messages, or phone calls regarding these damages, or any requests for filing a claim. We are going to send you the claim form with all the necessary information as to how to file it and the entire procedure.
As for the delay, we apologize for arriving later than expected. While we aim to stick to schedules, unforeseen circumstances on the road, such as traffic or mechanical issues, can sometimes cause delays beyond our control. 1 starI am very frustrated! I will be paying an extra $2000 for an out of state move and stuff has still not arrived after almost 3 weeks!! We’re sleeping on the floor, calling everyday with no response from ‘dispatch’ to schedule our drop off. We’ve paid $7000 already for a move scheduled with Captainvl and overland - and nothing!! Kids are sad. New job is difficult to do without clothes and other personal stuff. This has been a nightmare!Review fromLita G

We used Overland twice in two months. We were so impressed with the seamless move of the crew the first time that we requested and used the same crew the second time. Their professionalism resulted in another perfect experience with no breakage. From the first contact with the front office and from beginning to end the customer service was impeccable. Overland delivery guys were great. They did there job fully. We got everything Overland had taken from pick up. I just wish that the long delivery fron 4/9 pick up to 4/25 delivery was a very long time to live without our ownings. I only have 1 complaint and that is the side of my new mattress are really dirty. I know the guys that moved it here did not do it. The mattress was wrapped so i dont know how it got that dirty on the sides.Overland Van Lines, LLC

This had to be the absolute worse experience we ever had. I wish I could give them negative stars. From the moment the crew arrived the foreman did nothing but complain for atleast 30 mins about not making the deadline to have all of the things out of the house (I was selling the house and the new owners had ro come and do a final walk through) which was mad aware of at the booking time. Then he kept complaining of anything he could find which quickly turned into them trying to add additional charges. He argued the truck was full three times each time he was able to load more and more. The crew had the worse attitude possible causing us to start having one as well. They did more smoking and unnecessary taping and unboxing and removing take unnecessary stuff apart then anything. After they got the truck loaded they went to the new house. Leaving another truck load that we had to rent a uhaul afterwards for. There was a delay on my end at the new residence as I had to deal with settlement and closing. Then at the new house they claimed would take them another 5 hours to get the stuff in the house which they wanted to charge me an additional $1000 for when I said no to that I instructed them to just leave the stuff in the garage and they wanted to charge me $250 extra for that claiming it wasn't enough time then threatened to take my belongings to a warehouse and charge me a storage fee if I didn't Harry to the ATM for the extra money. After I got the money from the ATM they stated they was able to finish in time after all smh. After all of that I gave the foreman the remainder of the money ( he counted it twice in front of both of us. The next morning at 730am I get a call from overland claiming I didn't pay them the full amount. I strongly urge anyone not to use this money hungry self, obserbed, poor work ethic and attitude having company. This experience truly made us not want to ever trust a moving company again.Overland Van Lines, LLC
