      I ordered a sequence of 8 Spanish classes from this company for the November/December 2023 term. Sticker price was $380 plus tax. The instructor cancelled the final class at the last minute for personal reasons and rescheduled for later in the week at a time I couldn't attend. Now they are refusing to do a makeup class citing their policy that all makeups must be done by the end of the term. I feel that this application of this policy in these circumstances is shady and immoral and am seeking a refund of the final class. This should come out to $47.50 plus prorated tax for a total of $50.35.

      After carefully reviewing your case, I would like to provide you with the following key points:

      1. We genuinely understand the inconvenience caused by the rescheduling of the final class and sincerely apologize for any disruption to your plans.

      2. Our policy generally allows for makeup classes to be scheduled within the term, providing students with an opportunity to catch up on missed sessions. However, we recognize the exceptional circumstances in your case.

      3. In response to your concern, and to uphold our commitment to customer satisfaction, we processed a refund for the final class on January 04, 2024. The agreed refund amount was $42.38.

      It's crucial to note that the total amount you paid was $339, considering the promotional price with a $10 discount, as outlined in the attachment. Additionally, since educational services are exempt from taxes, no other deductions were made from your bank account at the time of payment. Therefore, the refund amount is $42.38 without tax, as clarified.

      Be aware we are not refunding the total amount you paid since you took the 7 lessons, and only the last one you couldn't attend due to illness. Unfortunately, the makeup class couldn't be scheduled before the term ended.
