Whole house windows were installed in April 2022. The latch on dining room window broke and I contacted customer service in May 2022 providing all necessary info and a picture. I was told i would hear from service in a few days. I heard nothing so called back in a month and was again told I would be contacted. Again NOTHING. I called again and was given the same run around. It is now September. Still no one has contacted me.. The worst customer service. Apparently once they get your money they do not service their windows. We are elderly and feel we have been taken advantge of. What recourse do I have???Business Response

Our complaint was escalated and we were scheduled for service today 9/26/22. The installation manager was very nice and addressed our concerns. An upper sash window was ordered due to debris between the two panes and should arrive within about a month. He provided his card in case we do not hear anything in a timely manner.Initial Complaint

We ordered 2 custom-made eyebrow windows August 2021, and paid half upfront. Huge delays. One window broken in their shop. One window showed up in May and it was the wrong size. They re-measured and have become completely incommunicado. SO FRUSTRATING.Business Response

Business Response /* (1000, 5, 2022/09/13) */
Window Nation apologizes to our customer for the delays in completing their project. We always aim to complete the project as soon as possible, so we regret the length of time this experience has taken. Window Nation is pleased to report, however, that we have an installation scheduled for our customer on September 15, 2022, at which time we hope to resolve our customer's concerns. We greatly appreciate our customer's patience.
Consumer Response /* (3000, 7, 2022/09/19) */
(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)
Window Nation's response is true but unsatisfying to me because there is no acknowledgement in it of their abysmal communication throughout this much-delayed project.
The BBB system has worked for us since I got a call from the business within days of making this complaint.
We understood that this has been an extraordinary time for manufacturing and delivery, and think that the business owed us much better information. We cannot recommend this company.
Business Response /* (4000, 9, 2022/09/23) */
Window Nation does acknowledge and apologize for the lack of communication prior to receiving our customer's complaint. We regret that they had a negative experience, and we are grateful that the service has been completed to their satisfaction. Window Nation hopes our customer can begin to enjoy their new home look.

We contracted with Window Nation to replace all the windows in our house in Villanova, PA in March of 2022. A nearly $40,000 job. The replacement windows were so sub-standard that they all need to be replaced. And the poor quality and inferior workmanship may have already created (and may be creating) additional damage to our stucco house. On four separate occasions, Window Nation's own representatives -- its original installers, initial inspector, manager/inspector, and re-measurer -- all confirmed that the windows that were originally installed, manufactured by a company called ******, were so defective that they all need to be replaced. Among many other problems, some of the windows were cracked/broken, the window slats are crooked and do not line up with one another, the windows have irremovable industrial adhesive in conspicuous places, screens are ripped and loose, more than 50% of the windows do not have window cranks, some windows do not lock, and some windows have to be force closed from the exterior of the house. We have been attempting to work with Window Nation to get our windows replaced, but we just keep getting the run around from the company. Like the TV commercial by Window Nation's competitor, Window Nation is blaming the manufacturer; the manufacturer is blaming the installer, and the installed is pointing its finger at the manufacturer. And while all the finger pointing is going on, we are left with defective windows and ongoing damage to our house as a result. We can no longer sit idly by while Window Nation fails to honor its end of the bargain. We are left with no choice but to file this BBB complaint. Next we will be filing a formal lawsuit against the company to compel it to honor its contractual commitments.Business Response

This is just more "lip service" from WN. They have been saying the same thing for more than six months and meanwhile we are still dealing with the mess WN has made at our house and the potential damage to our house every time it rains because the windows are sub-standard. Four times WN has inspected its own work at our house and ALL four times the WN reps have confirmed that this has been the worst project they have ever seen. We want our windows replaced with a quality product immediately.

We had out windows installed July of 2021. The next spring, we were cleaning the windows and the bathroom window has hard to pull down to clean. I noticed that the window is not straight when you release the tabs. I made a call on 6-30-22 to have a service rep come out and see what need to be done. The rep stated somebody would be in touch within 5-7 days. I gave this a little bit longer because of the holiday on 7-4. Since I have not heard back, I called a 2nd time on 7-15 and was told they did see my request about the window. This rep asking if had sent any picture in and I stated No, the other rep just took my info. This rep sent an email on how to upload the picture they need from the window. That was uploaded that same day. I thought this was a great idea and would have been taken care quickly. On 7-23 I sent an email for an update on my service request. I got an email back stating allow up to 48 hours for a response. I then received an email on 7-26 that my request was escalated to the production manager. Again, no call or email from the production manager. I then sent another email on 8-3 and was told allow 48 hours for a response. Again, I have not heard back or received an email. I called a 3rd time on 8-16 to see if there was an update the rep did not have one. I was transferred to another rep and she stated she would advised the manager on the request and did not advised when I should expect a call back. MY REQUEST IS NOW GOING ON 2 MONTHS WITHOUT A RESPONSE. This has been the worst customer service I had to deal with so far.Business Response

10/23/22 sale. Window install 3/28/22. Buy one,get one free, no payments or interest for 2 years was the advertisement @ the time. Bill $12,000.00 for 2 picture widows with sliders on each end, 2 small uprights & 1 large slider. Paid $2,000.00. Time of install on my inspection, saw 1 picture window cracked, 1 would not close, outside aluminum dented. Put this all in notes & talked to a representative on the phone before installers left. Got my 1st bill beginning of April from a service finance co. Constantly getting calls & e-mails from service company. Told them job is not finished, I still have a cracked $4;000.00 dollar window. Window nations called in June, told me they were coming to replace the window on a Friday at 3pm. Made sure I was home @ 2pm. No one ever showed up. Got a call a week later & was told they knocked on the door & no one answered. Then I was told they would try again on 7/17/22. Told them I would be home by 3pm. This time they called ahead & did show up,but could not find my window in the warehouse. They fixed the aluminum outside & assured me I'd get a call soon after my window was located. Salesman called after I filled out a questioner about my experience & said I would not recommend him to anyone. Also told me the 2yr. financing was not in effect yet, when I purchased the windows & to read the fiancé contract. I did not thoroughly read it @ the time (my fault) because I trusted the salesman had understood from my comments I was getting the windows at this time for that deal. I had a friend come over to make sure I was'nt missing any important info.
Cutting this short, my window is still cracked, I'm still being sent bills & called from finance company. I've reached out to window nations told I'd receive a call back in 24hrs. Did not & that was July 23Business Response

Window Nation apologizes to this individual for any frustration or confusion they've experienced, however we deny that our company was taking their personal information to sell or anything of that nature. Window Nation has established markets in which our company operates and, in the course of learning about potential customers, we ask their address. Window Nation then uses that address to ensure that a potential customer is within the radius of our operations, and unfortunately this individual was not. We apologize again for any inconvenience this may have presented, however our goal was only to see if we could service a potential customer.

I had a representative, Alex L***, from Window Nation come out on July 16th, 2022 and pitch a sale for windows. He did a great job, and I agreed to purchase windows for the kitchen and dining area of the home based on the price we agreed to. He came back July 19th, 2022 to pick up the deposit of $2,400. The check was cashed on July 21,2022. Almost a month after signing the contract, I was sent a change of work order request via email on August 11th, notifying me that the windows I originally ordered were no longer being manufactured. I was given the option to upgrade free of charge- I considered the change for a few weeks. I decided that I didn't want to be stuck putting higher end windows throughout the rest of the home so all the windows would match. I got sick for 2 weeks and before the end of August I notified them that I no longer wanted windows and I was going with a personal contractor. I was then notified a few days later on Monday, August 29, 2022 by the same sales man of the following " Hey ********, unfortunately they will not be refunding your deposit. If you want to continue with the project that would be great but if not, I will cancel it out for you. Just let me know. Thanks".
I'd like my money refunded, as I was sold a product that is no longer available. I refuse to upgrade to a different product and be stuck with buying upgraded windows throughout the rest of the home. The company shouldn't have cashed the check without confirming that the product I ordered was still in stock. They are pressuring a customer to either loose a significant deposit for an error on their end or to be stuck with a product that the customer did not order.
Your help in resolving the matter via refund is greatly appreciated.Business Response

I contacted Window Nation at the beginning of May 2022 about a window that was cracked. We had the original windows installed in November of 2018. The window was still under warranty and I was informed when I made the call that there would be a small installation charge which I agreed to. I was then transferred to a very confusing outside automated call service to prepay the installation cost. Instead of charging the correct amount it only charged a fraction of the cost since there was no direction the need to put a decimal place in. I was under the assumption that everything was taken care of and that the window would be ordered and when it arrived I would be scheduled for installation. I knew the window would take some time to be made and I patiently waited. When I didn't hear back from Window Nation in June, I called again. They couldn't seem to figure out what was going on with my window but said they would call back. No call came. I reached out again twice in July, spoke to a supervisor who said my window order was never sent to be manufactured but he informed me that it was now sent and that I should be hearing back from them in two weeks to schedule an installation. That was the end of July. It is now the beginning of September and I had to call back because I did not hear back from them. I still have a broken window, still do not know when it will be replaced, and still no answers. In my latest call, I was put on hold and was disconnected. I am very frustrated with the customer service with repairs. The sales and installation were great but the service afterwards is very lacking and unprofessional.Business Response

I purchased a set of windows and doors in June 2021. They were installed Nov 2021. I had some problems with installation that they were able to fix April 2022. I decided to order the last of the windows and they were installed Aug 2022. However, June 5th I emailed my sales rep that I have oxidation on both panels of the sliding door. They came out and determined that they are in fact damaged June/22. I have called & texted many times since June. Even complaining to their resolution dept. Still Sept 1st I am waiting for the repair. All my purchases have been paid in full. I had used the finance company to utilize there no interest loan. When I purchased the 1st time I had money still available on loan. So when I purchased the next set of windows little did I know that loan was not available at those terms for this purchase. So I was charged interest for 2 mos w/o me knowing that the terms changed. I decided to pay the loan in full inJune. During one of the visits to my home a contractor broke a vase I had. He said that the office would compensate me for the lose. This was as in June 2022. With all this, they have not repaired my slider, except for the screen that was broken when installed. Have not paid me back the $330.++ interest on loan that the sales rep never informed me that terms changed. On top of all that I haven't received compensation for the vase.Business Response
