Purchased four windows on September 16, 2021. Five months later they were installed. (2/9/22). Shortly after installation it was the found all four windows were not locking. They would not close in order for the lock to work. I contact window nation on 3/29 and they replied they would send out a service guy to fix all four windows. The 1st service guy came out May 9 to fix the windows. That repair lasted only a couple of weeks. Talked to window nation again on 6/3 and they would send out another service guy. The service guy came on 6/27 and did the same repair as the first guy and the same issue happened again a few weeks later, all four windows were not locking. It was then determined the sashes have to be replaced on all four windows. Those parts were ordered the first part of July. They did not arrive until 8/1. The service guy could not come to the house until 8/24 (between 1-3). When 8/24 came the service guy never showed up!!!!!!!!!! No communication from window nation what so ever. When I called window nation, there was no reason given as to why the service guy did not show. They rescheduled, and now it is another 3 weeks until someone comes out, 9/16!!!!!
Prior to this I had scheduled for someone to come out and give an estimate for a sliding window (4/8) and no one showed up for that either. There customer service and communication is the worst. They are very eager to get your money, and once they have it, it seems they could care less. Will never use them again and I know of another person who is having problems with their windows from window nation.Business Response

On August 18, 2021 I entered into an contractual agreement to have 17 windows replaced.Due to Covid I did understand that there were delays in manufacturing. The estimated date given was late November 2021. The installation availability wasn't until January 2022. I was finally able to get an installation date of January 5, 2022. When the day came I received a call at 7:30 am that the installation team could not make it. This then had to be rescheduled to the 18th of January, with a window of 8am to 10am, and of course they were late and arrived at 11:30am. This caused me to miss a few meetings. When the work was complete the team did not do a walk around with me and I had to remind them to put sealant around the windows because I could still feel a breeze. I also informed them that I was missing 5 screens and additional screen was damaged. I have been going back and forth since the completion and have only been able to get 5 screens installed. When the day came for them to install the last screen they cancelled the same day and stated that they had ordered the incorrect size. I have constantly had to email them to remind them of this. I am frustrated at this point. I have a loan of $13,068 to pay this project that because they did not charge on time I had to apply for the loan again. I mainly dealt with the project manager and was suppose to submit a compensation request of $3,000 for all the trouble and miscommunication, and have since heard back from him. I would like all the windows to be inspected, finally have the last screen installed and receive some compensation for this unfinished project.Business Response

I am writing in regards to a issue with a window company.
My husband and I Contacted window nation in Wallingford Ct in April of 2022 for 17 replacement windows for our residents on 20 Country Hollow rd Naugatuck Ct , a meeting was set up for discussion and the following week on April- 23 -2022 after all options were discussed and an agreement was made for 17 windows were ordered and we were approved for Financing and contract was signed.
Measurements were done on that day and then again on a separate day by a different person we were told 3 measurements were going to be done but only 2 we're done.
Final order for 17 replacement windows were ordered , 8 weeks later windows were delivered to widow nation warehouse ,appointment was set up for installation on June 23.
16 out of 17 were installed ,master bathroom was NOT installed due to mis measurement window was to big for opening.
This bathroom does NOT have proper ventilation due to a fixed window that had to be installed due to Existing window being taking out ,we were told it was a measuring issue and that the window shipped was to big for frame opening and they were going to order one on a red hot delivery ( 3-5 days for delivery) and would be compensated for any inconvenience and mistake due to a measurement mistake on there part, Order of completion was NOT signed on this day due to that window not being installed.
To this day Aug -22 -2022 I am still waiting for a bathroom window to be installed ,i have tried contacting window nation numerous times only to be told someone would be contacting me back ,I still have not received a phone call back from anyone in this company.
I have since received a bill from the finance company for the new widows which originally was due 6 month after completion ,as of today this job is not completed.
I feel we have been more then patient with company and have waited long enough for 1 window to be installed.
Thank you *************Business Response

Signed a contract to replace all 17 windows in our house on 11/4/21. Windows were not installed until Feb 2022. Installers cancelled first visit then came on a Sunday. When they arrived one window was broke and taped. After installation, noticed that some grids were crooked, some glass was scratched, there was dirt in between some windows and almost all of the screens were ripped. All of the dry wall around every window (except the basement) was destroyed and I had to pay a contractor to come out and respackle and paint (which was very costly). I paid half of the balance that day with the stipulation they would receive the remainder upon completion. Had someone come out and they said they would fix. I contacted the supervisor, Joe W*****, in April regarding with all new screens and replacement windows. There were multiple attempts to reach them for an answer. Finally on 5/4 we were able to reach him by phone and was told he had a personal situation he was handling. They have been out 3 or 4 times and on one of the last visits, they replaced the windows to find they used different trim. I sent another email 7/22/22 and they said it would be corrected. They just came back yesterday 8/22 and they replaced the windows with the same trim. Today we were told they can't get the same trim so here we are with 17 windows that are not the same. They called today saying they can't get the trim and could come and replace all the trim here on site. I find this unacceptable as the new trim is very flimsy and dirt can get under it. At no point were we even told the trim was changed - they just did it and showed up with it twice. We have been inconvenienced since February and feel that this is poor customer service. We are looking to have the windows all have the original trim and receive some compensation for our time away from work and extra items we had to repair. They lack quality control as this should not have gone on for this long. (All pics not uploaded)Business Response

On 8/24 a voice mail was left for my husband from a Ronnie at Window Nation. On 8/26 a message was left from a Dan F***** from Window Nation. My husband and I called Ronnie on 8/26 my husband and I called Ronnie but the number he left 855-684-5210 did not work - no call could go through. We tried the main Window Nation number 856-566-7200 but were put on hold for a long time. We then proceeded to call back Dan F***** about 1/2 hour after after he left us a message and we were only able to leave a message and it stated he would call us back within 24 hours. Here we are 8/29 and no call back.

I did not see anything come thru my email regarding closing this dispute. Unfortunately it still goes on. I have been communicating with an Alexandra however, as of 9/22 I have not heard anything back. She stated in her email she would get back to me by the end of the day. This is how the whole transaction has been with WindowNation - no follow thru.

Window Nation has again communicated with our customer and informed them of the ETA for their service parts to arrive. Once they arrive in mid-October, Window Nation's teams will contact our customer and schedule their appointment. Window Nation again appreciates our customer's patience.
Consumer Response /* (4200, 30, 2022/10/03) */
(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)
As I stated in my rebuttal a week ago, the last I heard was from Alexandra on 9/22 (I did attach this email). At that time, as it was true about waiting for parts to arrive, I still do not have clarification regarding the 7 windows that need repair to the class. Per Alexandra on 9/22, she stated that she understood and needed to verify all of this and she would get back to me later that day. I have not heard anything further. I need clarification of these items.

Window Nation appreciates our customer's willingness to allow us to resolve their concerns. Our teams will be more than happy to discuss what has been ordered and how we can best assist them in the coming days. Window Nation is committed to bringing this customer a complete resolution.

(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)
The response that is sent to Better Business Bureau is not how they respond to me. I am still waiting for a return response from 9/22. I feel that they should have been able to give me (the customer) a response. This has been part of the issue since installation. Customer service is hard to get ahold of and then does not return calls/emails.
Business Response /* (4000, 36, 2022/10/14) */
Window Nation apologizes to our customer for the delays they have been experiencing, and the lack of communication. Our records indicate that our service teams expect the needed parts to arrive early next week, at which point our technician can be scheduled to remedy our customer's concerns. Business Response /* (4000, 40, 2022/10/21) */
Window Nation appreciates our customer and continues to follow up with them to ensure that all of the parts will arrive and the installation can be completed We have an ETA of October 24, 2022, and will follow up with the customer to make sure their needs are met. My husband received a call yesterday to schedule the replacement of trims however, they did not mention the 7 sashes that needed replacement. I tried reaching back to the number (unable to understand the woman's name) and left a message. We still do not have all our questions answered from September and the 7 sashes need to be replaced prior to fixing all the trims. I would like someone to call me 267-441-1965 as I previously stated to Alexandra at Window Nation and I also resent her an email today to try to clarify.

Inferior installation and very poor customer service. Install was on 7/5/22. There are caulk, screen, scuff and gouge issues. These all could have been resolved that day had there been a walkthrough. I asked the crew leader to do one when they were finished working and was told that would happen when the sales rep came by later; this never happened because our rep never showed up. He said when he sold the job, he would be here sometime during the install so I said ok. We were not informed of any issues by the crew leader before they left. My wife and I did our own walkthrough as they were getting ready to leave. I caught one crew member before they actually drove away and asked about the screen issues and he let me know they knew. So they chose to not say anything about any of it. We felt deceived first because of this. I reported all of this to our rep and he stated he would come look and asked what time. I gave him a three hour window the day HE said. We waited that day and he did not show or call. I texted and he said it would be very late so I asked when would be good for him. Haven't heard from him again. I went through what was supposed to be the right channels and finally 3 weeks later got in touch with the install manager. He did come see the issues, 7/28/22 we came up with the resolutions and he said I would be contacted within two days to schedule. Two weeks later still no call. I called again and was told the same thing, two days. 8/22/22 I have not heard anything from anyone at this company. This all could have been resolved the day of the install had they honored what they said they would do and done the walkthrough. Communication is only one way. None of them seem very interested in finishing this job. We are now almost 2 months for a job that should have taken 6 hours. I just want this finished.Business Response

My husband and I decided that we could not afford to have a payment for windows. So I called to cancel the order and asked for a refund . Joe said bc it's been more than 3 days that we were not going to get our money back . We were only approved for less than half . This is all the paper work we got . He came on sat and did not get back to us until Thursday . He set up an appointment for Monday but never said anything about 3 day . Why would I just give $ 1442.00 away.Business Response

We bought 18 replacement windows. The day they were installed we told technicians the windows would not lock. They tried to adjust the windows to lock. Did not resolve the issue. We called window nation and they sent a technician to address the problem. He told us this is an ongoing issue with window nation windows. He installed small pins in the windows. Again this did not resolve the issue. Made another call to window nation they sent another technician to our home. Again we were told this is an ongoing issue with the windows. He said he would order belts for windows and would be back. After 2 weeks a 4th technician arrived told us Again this is an ongoing issue with window nation windows. He didn't do a thing to any of our windows. He did apologize and informed us there was nothing he could do to help us. We know have windows that do not and can not lock. This is a severe safety issue for us. We paid 25k for these windows and are know not safe in our home. If this is an ongoing issue with these windows they should stop selling them to the public. Our old windows were drafty, but we could lock them all and were safe in out home. We have spoken to a attorney and window nation have been served but they choose not to reply to our layer. We plan on doing whatever it takes to get a full refund on these unsafe windows.Business Response

Window nation did arrive at our home. Put in weather stripping in bottom windows and screws in top windows. Temporary fix. We still are having problems with these poorly made windows locking. We are tired of the constant service calls with the constant Temporary fixes. Please either replace these windows or give us total refund on the windows. The constant aggravation regarding new windows that fail to lock is unacceptable.
Business Response /* (4000, 13, 2022/09/13) */
Window Nation appreciates our customer's cooperation in allowing our team to examine their windows. Window Nation would respectively disagree that this service appointment was only a temporary fix. Our installation manager has ensured the locks are working and that the weather-stripping was added appropriately. We will continue to follow up with our customer to ensure that no problems are lingering, however we believe our customer's service has been completed. We greatly appreciate our customer's patience throughout their project.

I have told my attorney to move forward with my lawsuit. I've been patient with window nation and I'm tired of not feeling safe in my home due to their poor quality windows. I advised the technician I felt the issue is more then just weather stripping. It's poor quality windows and they should stop selling them. I paid them in good faith. We paid for first quality windows, but we received poor quality windows that their technicians have told us on numerous occasions that it's a constant problem. We are not happy and we will take all legal actions towards Window NationInitial Complaint
