I have asked them multiple times to remove my address from their junk mail list. They ignored me. I mailed a certified letter to their *******, ** office ( ***************************** ) which was refused April 23, 2025 demanding that they remove my address from their advertising. That letter was REFUSED and returned. They are arrogant harassing scum. I expect them to remove my address ( ************************************ Bealeton , VA ***** ) from ALL JUNK MAIL and advertising and a WRITTEN ABJECT APPOLOGY. They have no genuine concern for potential customers . ****** *****

We will add this homeowner to the DO NOT MARKET List for Renewal by Andersen.  Any active marketing that has already been initiated may continue for a week or so, but no additional ads or contact will be initiated.  Sorry for the inconvenience.

    Sincerely,

I contracted with Andersen to replace two doors and ten windows. I have no issue with most of their work. Unfortunately, they installed my front door in such manner that its threshold presents a tripping hazard. Two seniors and a 4-year-old have already tripped on the threshold. Andersen has sent three people out to look at the issue and all of them have seemingly agreed that the threshold presents a tripping hazard. I submitted a potential solution submitted by a civil engineer (adding 5/8 inch of concrete to the top step to level it with the threshold). The last person Andersen sent agreed the threshold appears to present a tripping hazard but suggested a better fix would be to install an indoor/outdoor carpet section on top of the concrete. I agreed to that solution, but he refused to agree that Andersen would do the work or contract for it. My complaint is that Andersen created a safety hazard but expects me to fix it in some do-it-yourself manner. Anderson had taken careful measurements before the work and, as professionals, should reasonably foreseen that the door structure they proposed would lead to the tripping hazard. ***** ********, ******* ******, and others a Renewal by Andersen have photographs of the door threshold and have discussed my complaint at length.

I am rejecting this response because:

The response is accurate but is an interim update and does not resolve the matter in dispute.  I do not want to close the complaint until the business and I agree on a resolution.  If the BBB prefers to close a complaint in these circumstances that is ok with me.  In that case I will refile if the business does not continue to work with me to fix the probem

    Sincerely,

In October 2023 I contracted with Renewal by Anderson of Jessup, Maryland to install windows in my home. The windows included three windows and a sliding patio door and a kitchen window with a plant window sill. The total amount was approximately $20,000. The installation was done on January 4, 2024. The installers came to my home at 8:30 and did not leave until 6:30 PM. The problem is with the living room window. The living room window is not finished properly. The framing of the window has a large gap at the bottom. I brought this to the attention of the installer. He tried to cover it up with caulking. The gap at the bottom of the window is very visible, and looks unfinished. It looks very unprofessional. For the amount of money that I am paying I did not expect this type of work to be done by Renewal by Anderson. I am very disappointed and I’m requesting that the work be repaired immediately.

Also, when the installers finished at my house, it was late and dark. They tried to show me how to use the patio door opener. It was so dark that I could not see. In addition to that another of the installers used my bathroom and made a mess twice, I had to clean up behind him. It was disgusting. This is totally unacceptable and I do not appreciate this type of work.

He agreed to repair and replace the living room window frame ASAP. Also he apologized for the behavior of the installers. Again please remove my initial complaint. Thank you.
