On August 25,2022 I brought a pair of shoes to be cleaned at Zips Dry Cleaners. I went to pick it up on September 16, 2022. It took the employee about 10 minutes to return with the shoe and during that time I saw her scrambling in the back I guess trying to figure out what to do. When I picked up the shoes and looked at them, I could clearly see that they were damaged. The shoes had a different feel, had fading particularly on one shoe, and had pinholes in them from the employee tagging the shoe. I tried the shoe on and couldn’t get them on my feet. I asked for the manager. She came out and said that she cleaned the shoes herself and that they can’t help fading and shrinkage. I never even mentioned the shrinkage to her but I guess the employee told her I couldn’t get the shoe on my foot. I asked for her manager’s information and she reluctantly gave me the general manager’s telephone number. I also received a damaged item ticket. I spoke with Justin D**** , general manager on several occasions with me initiating most of the conversations because there was poor follow up .He seemed to try and be helpful and said they were going to work on the shoe to bring it back to its original state. On September 26, he told me that they were ready and I should go pick them up and review. I went and saw absolutely nothing different about the shoe. I told that to the store manager and she said I should contact Justin D****. I did and was met with the most unprofessional demeanor. He basically said my shoes were old and that ZIPS caused no damage to them. I continued to argue my point regarding the fading, shrinkage and holes. He told me that unless I took the matter to court, there was nothing else to say about it. I asked for his supervisor’s name and he said he didn’t have one. So is he the franchise owner? He didn’t even offer a refund for the damaging cleaning. I am very disappointed about the damage to my shoes and am looking for settlement of this matter
