      I have already recommended Solar Energy World- Maryland. Everyone was very professional and explained things well. Dillan Straabe, the salesperson, talked with me and my son, who is a firefighter, extensively and explained how different the solar panels are now and convinced him that they are okay, so now my son has them now too.
      I definitely recommend them to everybody.

      **** from Solar Energy World came to our place. I expressed my interest in becoming independent of the grid and specified that we needed a battery, because that's the only way to become 100% independent. This wasn't our first rodeo with solar, and what we were quoted with Solar Energy World was 46K, which was way higher than other companies, but we agreed because we felt the quality of work and warranty justified the price. We were approved for 50k, we signed paperwork, and we were on the roll with the project. The financing was way higher (almost $100) from what we normally pay for power, but in my mind was "We are getting 30% back, plus a $6000 grant from ********" that would balance it out. We passed the inspection. I must say they offered to cover $2000 in repairs needed for the installation, the design was finished, and they sent it to us for approval. I emailed **** back to confirm that the battery was included because nowhere in the document did I see a mention of it. **** replied, saying that "No, the battery isn't included." That we now have to add either $17k or $20k, depending on the size. Now, all of a sudden, it's a $60k project (**** "kindly" offered to lower the panel's pricing by $6k). He didn't include the battery because we were approved for 50K, and that wasn't enough, I mean, I think we deserved to know this before signing anything. We felt deceived. Feels like he was waiting for us to get the panels installed, and then, surprise, surprise, you have no battery. I gave him the benefit of the doubt, because he kept insisting on the solar rebate, I asked my accountant and its not a check as he put it, in fact the rebate is not refundable, If you own $10k in income tax the rebate would pay that, but you won't get a refund. We decided to cancel the project, and tried to contact them to see if there was something to sign, but they disappeared, don't answer phone calls or text messages (even though I see he read them), totally disappointing.

      Just had them installed a couple months back. 11 panels malfunctioning on 17MAY, no call. Called SEW, and found out the protection plan likely wouldn't cover. Signed paperwork for someone to come out and service. Got an email stating they'd be out 30JUN. Not exactly the treatment I expected based on the sales pitch. Would not recommend. Waiting to see how much this costs before reporting.

      I have recommended Solar Energy World several times over the last couple of years and will continue to recommend them. *** did a great job for me and was the best deal in the marketplace. The warranty is incredible, promising to be there to resolve any problems that come up in the future. The other company's warranty didn't do any of that. If there were any problems I'd have to go back to the manufacturers of the parts and deal with them. Why would anyone sign up for that if they have a choice?
