I was called repeatedly on our company line, from a "representative" trying to get us to use them for our lighting needs. After telling each person that harassed me no, there was a "representative" (scammer) that said he would send us samples to try out as a sign of good faith to gain our business. Central Industries sent a box with 6 light bulbs. A month later a invoice arrives to our accounting department for $756.23, for 6 light bulbs, these bulbs cost $7 each. I did not agree to any trial period. I ask that you delete the invoice and not contact our business again.

Thank you for bringing this matter to our attention.  The order in question was verified both
verbally and in writing on 12/3/24 with **** *****, the complainant.  A written confirmation letter was sent to the
company 7 days before the order was shipped, verifying price and quantity, and giving
ample time for any changes or cancellation.
After receiving no such notification from the customer, the order
    shipped on 12/10/24.

Please understand that our 800 number is answered 24/7 and
our emails are monitored in the same fashion.
Had Mr. ***** reached out to us, we would have been more than happy to answer
any questions and take whatever steps were necessary, so his concerns were addressed
    and resolved.

Nonetheless, the invoice in question has been credited in
full, resolving this matter completely and a pre-paid return label is being
emailed to him should he wish to return the merchandise.

Central Industries sent 6 small LED tubes to us without any PO and any Authority from us. Then they sent $756.12 invoice. and several collection calls. It is a scam. The LED lights did not fit any our fixture. It is useless.

Thank you for bringing this matter back to our
    attention.  According to company records,
order ***** was placed on 4/22/24 and was thoroughly confirmed prior to
shipping both verbally and via written confirmation.  The order was held for 14 days giving the
customer ample time to make any changes or even cancel.  The moment it was brought to our attention
that the merchandise was not wanted a return label was emailed to the customer,
    resolving this matter completely.

I was sent light bulbs I did not order and then a week later sent a invoice for over $700.
I am sending bulbs back and will not pay invoice.

Thank you for bringing this matter to our attention.  Unfortunately, this is the first time we are hearing of this customer’s concerns.  Company records indicate that the complainant agreed to a trial order of our product.  Please understand that this trial order was first verbally confirmed on 9/20/23, and also confirmed via a written confirmation letter, mailing the same date.  The order was held 2 full weeks before being shipped, giving the customer adequate time to make any changes or even cancel.  Nonetheless, we are sorry for any confusion associated with this order and are happy to take the product back per our no hassle return policy.

It is important to know the complainant’s “desired settlement” had already been achieved prior to either BBB or Central Industries interaction since no payment has been received and therefore, no refund is due.  We would also like to mention that had the complainant reached out to us, their concerns would have been immediately addressed as our goal is and always has been, 100% customer satisfaction.

    Thank you
for bringing this customer’s concern to our attention.  Company records show that the complainant's Production Maintenance
Tech, ****** ******* did agree to a trial order of our product.  As per company policy, a Confirmation Letter
was sent to the customer prior to shipping, confirming the item, quantity, total
cost with shipping and cancellation instructions.  When the complainant made his initial call,
our representatives were assisting other customers and his call was answered by
voicemail.  No message was received from the
complainant.  Please understand that the complainant
could have easily cancelled this order via voicemail.  Nonetheless, he did email us immediately after
reaching our voicemail and the order was cancelled.  He then called again and this time spoke to
our representative and cancelled the order a second time.  The complainant’s desired outcome was reached
upon receipt of his email, prior to his complaint ever being filed.

    Thank you for
following up with us.  Despite this not being
specifically delineated in our response, their company was placed on our Do Not
Call List and their information was removed from our system.  We apologize for any inconvenience that
omission may have caused.  We believe we have done everything in our
power to accommodate this complainant and consider this matter resolved.

Central Industries, Inc. claims to have shipped several hundred dollars in light fixtures to us, but we have no record of contacting them, they are not set up in our system as a supplier, and we never issued them a purchase order. They are now contacting us daily regarding a past due invoice.

We believe this to be yet another example of them repeatedly calling a company until they can get anyone they can on the phone and offering to send them free samples.

Eugenia sent me a proof of delivery for a 3lb package, which we believe was a box containing their catalog, but that is a far cry from the half dozen light fixtures they are billing us several hundred dollars for.

Thank you for bringing this matter to our attention. Company
records show this order was placed on April 4, 2023 with ***** *********** (see
attached invoice).  Prior to shipping, also
on April 4, 2023, a confirmation was sent to the company confirming the
placement of the order (see attached confirmation).  That confirmation set forth product
information, specifically the quantity, pricing, and cancellation instructions.  FedEx delivered the merchandise on April 13,
2023 (see attached proof of delivery).  When payment was not received, our A/R Department did reach
out when the invoice became past due to see if there was anything we could do
to help expedite payment or return of the order. Once it was brought to our
attention that receipt of the order was being disputed, the invoice was
credited in full, and we initiated a loss claim with our carrier.  We are sincerely sorry for any inconvenience
this may have caused the customer and as per their request, no further contact
    will be made.

Received a call from a salesman for this company asking me about lighting in our building and if he could send me a "SAMPLE" of there line, along with a catalog for me to see all that they offer. I told him sure he could send me the "SAMPLE" and the catalog. At no point and time did he express that this had a charge that came with it. A sample is something that is given as just that a sample for testing by a consumer. Imagine my surprise when I receive a bill of $756.38 for the "SAMPLE" lightbulbs that was sent to our company. I did not approve any billable request of product from this company. This is a very shady, unethical practice of saying you're sending someone a "SAMPLE" but in reality it's a ploy to sent you a box of lightbulbs followed by a bill without ever divulging that fact.
I did not authorize purchasing anything. This company is more than welcome to come get this product but we will not pay for something I did not order.

Thank you for bringing this matter to our attention.
At no time during any conversation with the customer did our representative use
the term “sample”.  The customer was offered a trial order of our product
and accepted it.  After the call, Central
Industries, following standard procedure, confirmed the trial order in a correspondence
dated April 19, 2023, to the customer in which terms and return instructions
were clearly stated:  The purchaser had 30 days to evaluate the product
and if not completely satisfied for any reason, they would notify Central
Industries and a return authorization would be issued, no questions asked.  No such request was made.

We are sorry that there was a misunderstanding and are
currently reviewing all the information available to look for ways to improve
our process.  A pre-paid return label has already been sent to the
customer so that the merchandise can be returned and in lieu of the returning
merchandise, the order has been credited in full, resolving this matter
    completely.

    Complaint: ********

I am rejecting this response because:

Rep conducted themselves in an extremely unprofessional manner on multiple occasions and refused to leave messages. On the last occasion she hung up on me when I requested to speak to a manger, called back and hung up on me a second time. It was never acknowledged that our business would be placed on a do-not-call list, AND representative lied saying she has spoken to our building engineer and was told to call back at a certain time (which she absolutely had not). Feel free to attach the last 5 calls, as it appears you have not reviewed them.

    Sincerely,

    ****** *******

    All of our
representatives receive ongoing training on call etiquette and it is extremely
uncommon for any of our employees to carry themselves in a less than
professional manner.  Furthermore, calls are monitored to insure
this.  Company records show after being told by a person answering the
phones for the company not to call again, the call was dispositioned as “not
interested”.  Please understand that this specific call disposition
prevents any further contact to the phone number in question.  That same
day our call center received a phone call from an unidentified person calling
from ************, requesting not to be called any further.  Since we were
told not to call again and have since honored that request, this matter was
completely resolved prior to the complaint being filed.
