HI I had a house fire November 9th of 2021. I came across Mercury Home Remodeling thinking this was my best option at the time. He honorably promise a lot in the contract to finish my house for 193,000. I payed Roger B**** a lot of money. He has overcharged me extremely and gave me multiple change orders. Then I started to notice the amount of work that's been complete verse the amount I already payed him. He not only upcharged me but completely honorably changed the contract. In the contract it mentions phase 1 and 2. When you review the documents he then sends me phase 1, phase 2, phase 3, and phase 4. This was his way of upcharging and taking a lot of money from me before work was complete. He tired to charged up to 100% on phase 4 of the percentage he takes out for himself, so I can only imagine the percentage he added to phase 2 and 3. He refuses to finish the job for a price we promised on . I am now stuck with a unfinished house that I have been trying to complete myself. He wants over 100,000. to complete the job. The checks I have written out to him we are at 178, 560. I believe I payed him even more than that just have to do some check searching. I was also promised to be back in my home by a certain date and had to pay somewhere to rent for two extra months. He only came to the job sight twice and is a complete scammer. He took complete advantage of me and left me with a unfinished house. He also is now saying I owe him money . The project manger walked out on the job saying Roger over charges all the time and he won't be working for him anymore. Roger then blames project manger for over charging. This has been the worse experience of my life and I will never hire a contractor again.

    Hi ****,

Per our conversation today, I don't believe that going back and forth with the questions and answers will serve any positive purpose at this time.

In view of that, I would like to invoke the Binding Arbitration Clause in my contract and signed by Ms. ********.

Thank you for speaking with me today.

Please let me know if you have any questions or if you need any additional information from me.

    Best regards,

    Roger B****
