I have contacted this company repeatedly - at least three times - to be removed from their mailing list. This has happened over the last 18 months. Since my husband passed away, I have been inundated with these ridiculous letters, asking to buy my house. I am beyond frustrated that, in a time of grief, these coldhearted people will constantly send letters trying to convince me to sell my house to them. It's the last thing I need to deal with after the death of my spouse. I do not know how to make these stop anymore. This is why I am contacting the Better Business Bureau to file a complaint. I feel like my privacy has been violated. These people obviously got my name from some database, or perhaps, even from the courts where I had to file paperwork for my husbands estate. I have not reached out to any company to sell my house, so what gives these companies like this one the right to contact me and harass me with multiple letters even after I have told them I do not wish to receive mail from them? I'm just at a loss to what to do anymore. They even have BBB accredited business on their letterhead but clearly they do not know what it means when someone says I wish not to receive anything from them ever again. The signature on the letter is a ***********************************.

    Dear ******,

We are very sorry for the loss of your spouse. We know that our mailing is causing you additional stress that is certainly not our intention.  I have sent our marketing department a boldface message to have your removal be immediate. If you happen to receive anything inadvertently, it may have just crossed in the mail with this opt out message and just needs to cycle through.  We can also be reached at [email protected].

Appreciate the opportunity to update your preferences. We are very sorry again for your loss and wishing you well in the future.

Over the past many months (I couldn't tell you when this started), MarketPro Homebuyers has sent me mail solicitations supposedly making offers to buy my property. In late September and once over the summer I contacted them through their website and told them to stop sending me these solicitations, and each time their representative with whom I chatted them said they would. On the second instance, I said I would report them to the BBB if they didn't stop. And then they sent me another solicitation dated October 18th. I would like you to take the strongest possible action for not respecting my wishes and continuing to send me these most unwanted solicitations.

We apologize for the inconvenience we have caused by sending you our marketing letter and we will ensure that you are removed from any future correspondence.  As we do not have an address associated with your name, we will do our best to search our records for removal.  If you receive any future mailings, please send for removal to [email protected] and provide your address. Having the address that the mail is being sent to assists us best in our removal process. Again, we apologize that you are receiving these mailings and will do our best to permanently remove you, per your request.

Having said that, and hoping that they will indeed cease and desist, I do find it dubious that MarketPro Home Buyers says they don't have my mailing address, even as the continued to mail me solicitations before bringing it to the BBB, during time of which BOTH times I messaged one of their representatives, they didn't ask me to confirm the address, tacitly implying that they had it.

    Hello:

I need to immediately re-open this complaint: today I received another mail solicitation from MarketPro.

Please escalate this to the highest degree possible: if I were you I would revoke their accreditation over their absolute HARASSMENT of me (and probably others) over my MULTIPLE demands to them that they STOP SENDING ME THESE SOLICITATIONS.

    In absolute frustration and indignation,

    ******

    Business Response

    Date: 12/11/2023

    HI *** ******,

I am sorry you are so frustrated with our company after making a request to be removed and then receiving yet again, an additional marketing letter.

A couple things could have happened: Either the removal crossed with the mail--in other words, your removal was requested AFTER the mail had already been in the que for mailing OR an address or name of who the letter is addressed is missing so that we cannot locate it in our database.  I noticed on this platform, the address was missing so I cannot provide that to our marketing department as a qualifier for locating the letter and ensuring the opt out worked.

We will try to remove based on your name--but an address where the mail is being sent to will be most helpful to us.  If you can provide that information to [email protected].  Otherwise, our marketing department will do our best to locate based on your name (if the mailer is addressed using your name)

Sorry again but if you need to respond to us with more clarity--we will happily remove you from the database.

Thanks again for reaching out to us and we will do our best to remove you with the information provided.

I receive DAILY junk letters via US mail at two of my residential properties. Per their junk letters, I have opted out of all future mailings twice on their website: ****************************************************** To date, I still continue to receive harassing junk mail in attempt to sell my homes. By law, after 1 attempt to discontinue this company from harassing my residences with solicitations and propaganda and not being complaint, residents have the right to sue.  This is my final attempt to stop the harassing junk mail from being sent to my residences. I prefer to have everything in writing from MarketPro Homebuyers with no phone calls for documentation purposes. If I continue to receive these junk letters, I will file a class action suit against MarketPro Homebuyers that includes both residential neighborhoods of over 2,000 people who have also expressed same complaints through our HOAs and next door neighbor apps. Thank you BBB in advance for being a liaison with this despicable company.

I have contacted our marketing department and ensured that you are removed. Please allow one cycle in case your removal was not in time with this communication. Apologize again for any inconvenience and stress this has clearly caused you.

I have subscribed to the Direct Mail Marketing Association mail suppression list in an effort to stop unsolicited mailings. MarketPro Homebuyers has mailed its info to me regularly for a long time, and I would like it to stop. Obviously, they do not check or honor the mail suppression list, as I have been on it for some time. Other complainants have said they continue to get the mailings after completing the opt out form on the company's website, so I am not wasting my time with that. Please assist me in stopping these mailings to me.

Over the last two or three years I have been getting monthly solicitations from this company involving them wanting to buy my home. I have never contacted them nor anyone else about selling my home nor have I given them permission to contact me. Over all these years I have telephoned them and emailed them numerous times telling them to take me off their lists.. They have ignored all of my requests.

I was getting unsolicited texts and mail from this company. After my first BBB complaint, I received one additional text after to which I threaten to re-open this case and file a FTC complaint. Now my husband is starting to receive the unsolicited letters from this company. I explicitly said we no longer want any communication whatsoever from this company, either by phone or by mail.

    HI *******,

I apologize that you are still receiving communication and outreach from our company when you have requested otherwise.  It might be helpful for your wife to send a request to optout at [email protected].  I have resent your information to our marketing department.  Sometimes the mail and the request to be removed, cross so you may have received one more communication but should not receive anything further in the future. Thanks for your patience as we seek to get your contact information fully removed.

     Complaint: ********

I am rejecting this response because:  neither my wife or myself should have to go send an email to a company (who weve never done any business with) to tell them to stop harassing us.

I have messaged back to ask that I am no longer contacted, blocked numerous numbers from this company and my wife previously submitted a BBB complaint for the same issue.

Do not contact me or my wife again, we want nothing to do with your business.

I received a letter addressed to my wife who passed away on October 26, 2021. It claimed that she owned property and was interested in buying it. This is a lie, as the property was transferred to me in probate on January 5, 2022 and has been shown on the property appraiser website since that date. It is inappropriate to send a letter to a grieving spouse as though she was still alive. I would like an apology from the company and a promise that they will never contact again.

This business started off by texting me multiple times, regarding wanting to sell my home. I have never reached out, provided any information or conducted any business with this company. I proceeded to block and delete the same request from multiple different numbers until I finally posted a negative review on **** with a screenshot of the text. The harassing texts did stop immediately after that however, now I am receiving correspondence in the mail addressed to myself and my husband, which is completely unacceptable and very annoying. Neither or my husband wish to be contacted by this company or receive any more texts correspondence by mail. Enough is enough, no reputable business operates this way by harassing people just to solicit business.

I am rejecting this response because:

I have now submitted three complaints through the BBB website because this deplorable business keeps sending unwanted mail in an attempt to get our business.
