Mr.William came out this morning and presented himself in a professional manner. When I called him this morning to verify if a specific person worked with him he told me that his information was false. Platinum is a very honest company who boarded up my house and were on the insurance company list. We met this afternoon he asked if ******** helped me and made sure I had the right guidance with the next place to stay, In addition to offering me a place to stay due to my situation. William and Aubrey I thank you both for the honest and proper guidance and the fact you're willing to guide me after the fact.

We had an excellent experience with Platinum Emergency Services when dealing with a flooded basement. From the moment I called, they were prompt, professional, and communicated clearly throughout the entire process. What stood out most was their attention to detail and care—especially in ensuring the safety and comfort of the elderly person in our home. They were cautious and considerate, making sure to handle everything with care. The job was completed quickly and efficiently, and I couldn’t be more satisfied. I highly recommend them for anyone dealing with water damage or flooding issues!

I had a fire today extremely in shock about the events that happened this morning. Aubrey with Platinum Emergency Services came to my house and checked on me and my family. He was very helpful guided me through the process of having a first-time fire. We got on the phone with the insurance company and they knew exactly who they were. Aubrey worked quickly with getting everything in order. Platinum was there for us when we didn’t know what to do.
      Thank you Aubrey

Exceptional Service in a Time of Crisis
We experienced a serious emergency in the early hours of November 10th, 2024, when we woke up to a heavy smell of smoke filling our home due to a malfunctioning pellet stove. The situation was overwhelming, with our home covered in soot and a strong odor of smoke lingering in the air.
I called Platinum Emergency Services and within an hour, they arrived, ready to assist. Their team installed commercial HEPA filters immediately, providing us with much-needed relief from the smoke. What impressed us even more was their comprehensive support throughout the entire process. They helped us navigate everything from insurance claims to coordinating dry cleaning for our affected belongings.
It’s rare to encounter such outstanding service in a time of crisis, but Platinum Emergency Services truly exemplifies excellence. As a locally owned and operated business, they have set the gold standard for customer service. We are incredibly grateful for their prompt, professional, and compassionate response during our emergency. Highly recommend!
      Thank you, Platinum Emergency Services!

On Dec 15th of 2023 my next door neighbors house caught fire in the middle of the night. I was awoken to a house full of smoke and people beating on my door to get out. By this time my neighbors house had flames raging out their bedroom windows which is adjacent to my bedroom. I had never been in a situation like this and was unaware how I needed to handle it. That morning, I met Will from Platinum Emergency Services. Will began to explain that things were a little more complicated than I originally expected. I thought that my house would be smokie for a few days then back to normal. Will explained that smoke damage was more serious. He was able to help me navigate through this stressful life situation and get me linked with the companies who dealt with my insurance and specialized in the areas i needed assistance. Platinum was able to immediately place air scrubbers on each of my floors to begin clearing the heavy smoke that consumed my home. One referral was the company that specializes in cleaning my clothes and fabric material that was damaged due to smoke. The other referral was the mitigation company that checked the structure and roof of my home to access the damages that incurred during the fire, Once again each of these companies were participating providers that dealt with my insurance company so there were no surprise costs that came out of my pocket. That alone was priceless during this difficult time. As the smoke started to clear the following day and it became apparent that i was going to be displaced from my home for a while it was nice to get a follow up call from Will. He was genuinely concerned about my well being and asked if I has any questions or needed anything else to feel free to call him. That call alone spoke volumes about who Will is as a person and as a part of The Platinum Emergency Service Team. Highly recommend and wanted to say I appreciated their time and professionalism. Thanks again to Will and the Platinum Team.

The owner is very shady. Platinum secured my house immediately after a fire and initially I felt he was so helpful. But I quickly realized he was trying to take advantage of me being in a vulnerable situation after my house burnt down and I had no idea what the next steps were. He told me I should get a public adjuster because my insurance company (******* ******) is terrible, and in his experience they try to not cover things and I would be paying out of pocket. He of course referred me to a great public adjuster that he knows. After doing some research and realizing that public adjusters take a large portion of the claim as their profit, I did not utilize them, and my insurance company was amazing and completely fair with my coverage. A friend in Baltimore City who also had a fire at her house later told me that she had the exact same experience with Platinum, and she has a different insurance company. He also puts everyone in touch with the same contractor to do the rebuild. It definitely feels like he is trying to set his buddies up with work/business rather than having your best interest in mind

****************************************************************************************************************RE: Response Of Platinum Emergency Services LLC
Complaint: Ms. Emily A**** Dear Ms. ****** I am writing on behalf of Platinum Emergency Services, LLC (“Platinum”) in response to
a negative review (“Review”) submitted by Ms. Emily A**** to the Better Business Bureau of
      Greater Maryland (“BBB”).
All of Ms. A****’s speculative statements in the Review are false. There are no facts
supporting Ms. A****’s speculation. Ms. A**** is simply incorrect. Platinum is an excellent company with a well-earned A+ BBB rating. Unfortunately, in today’s world, any companies that serve the public may be subjected to false allegations like those described in Ms. A****’s Review. Platinum responds to those allegations to set the record straight.
Ms. A**** has never raised any complaints about the quality of Platinum’s work – at any
time - in her BBB Review or in the more than one (1) year that has passed since Platinum
      performed the work.
When Ms. A**** hired Platinum, she asked Platinum whether she should hire one of the
many public insurance adjusters that had approached her after a fire at Ms. A****’s home.
Platinum told Ms. A*** that some homeowners choose to hire public insurance adjusters to
advocate for the homeowner in seeking all insurance coverage for the homeowners claim. Ms. A*** asked Platinum for names, and Platinum provided Ms. A*** with the names of more than one public adjuster. Despite this, Ms. A*** ultimately chose not to hire a public adjuster.
Ms. A*** agreed to be fully responsible for payment for Platinum’s services if her
insurer, ******* ******, did not pay Platinum. ******* ****** did not pay. Platinum spent the
better part of a year unsuccessfully seeking payment from ******* ****** – and only ******* ****** - despite Ms. A***’s agreement to pay Platinum if ******* ****** did not pay. After a
year, Platinum sued ******* ****** for the balance Platinum was owed and added Ms. A*** as a Defendant to the suit due to her agreement to pay.
Ms. A***’s BBB Review is retribution for Platinum exercising its contractual right to
add Ms. A*** as a Defendant to its suit against ******* ******. Again, Ms. A*** does not
complain about the quality of Platinum’s work. Instead, Ms. A*** claims that Platinum is
“shady” and does not have her best interests at heart because Platinum gave Ms. A*** the
names of public adjusters to advocate for Ms. A*** and make sure ******* ****** paid her
entire insurance claim – which ******* has not done. Platinum provided Ms. A*** good
information, but Ms. A*** chose not to rely on it.
Ms. A***’s baseless argument is that her “research” shows that some public adjusters
charge high fees, so Platinum gave her bad advice in answering her question about the names of public adjusters – even though Ms. A*** asked for those names, and Ms. A*** has no idea what fees that the public adjusters Platinum named might have charged.
Ms. A*** also incorrectly argues that because Platinum (allegedly) recommended the
same public adjuster, and a contractor, to her unnamed “friend,” (it did not), then Platinum must recommend the same public adjuster and contractor to all of its thousands and thousands of clients because Platinum is trying to drive business to its “buddies.” That is not true either.
First and foremost, Platinum gave Ms. A*** multiple names of public adjusters, at her
request, not just one. In addition, Platinum does not recommend public adjusters or contractors to clients. When Platinum does provide names, where appropriate, Platinum provides multiple names, as it did in this case. Ms. A***’s speculation about what happens in other cases she was not involved in is simply wrong. More importantly, the identification of a licensed public adjuster or contractor to a client is not inherently “shady” – it is helpful.
Ms. A*** has filed a negative Review against Platinum because Platinum helpfully
answered Ms. A***’s question with good information. The BBB’s valuable services are not to
be used for the filing of unfounded reviews as retribution for the enforcement of valid
      contractual rights.
      A. Platinum Provided Ms. A*** Desperately Needed Emergency Services.
A fire damaged Ms. A***’s property (“Property”) on the night of September 6, 2023.
Platinum promptly responded and provided Ms. A*** much needed assistance at her extreme time of need – on the night of the fire, when she was standing outside the partially destroyed shell of her house.
When a fire occurs, homeowners insurance policies require that homeowners like Ms.
A*** immediately snap into action and take steps to protect against additional damage to the house. If Ms. A***’s Property had sustained post-fire damage because she did not do enough to protect against that additional damage, then ******* ****** could have denied insurance coverage for all additional damage to the Property.
That is why the ******** ********* **************’s “Consumer Guide to Homeowners
Insurance” reminds homeowners that “[m]ost homeowners insurance policies require you to do the following when a loss occurs: … [p]rotect your property from further loss or damage. If
you make temporary repairs, keep a record of what you do, and save all receipts for expenses you incur in undertaking the repairs. For example, this could include buying plywood and nails to board up broken windows.” (Emphasis altered and added). A true and correct copy of this excerpt from the ********* **************’s Consumer Guide to Homeowner’s Insurance is attached hereto as Exhibit B.
Ms. A***’s Property suffered several different types of damage on the day of the fire.
First, a portion of the roof was incinerated, and portions of the interior were severely damaged by fire. Then, the home was flooded with water as part of the fire department’s efforts to extinguish the blaze. Once the fire was out, the burned-out, waterlogged shell of the Property was exposed to elements – and Ms. A*** was exposed to personal liability for any additional damages to the Property. Ms. A*** was extremely fortunate that Platinum showed up immediately.
      B. Platinum Provided Services To Protect The Property Immediately, On The Night
      Of The Fire.
On September 6, 2023, the night of the fire, Ms. A*** entered into a written agreement
(“Agreement”) with Platinum in which Platinum agreed to board up and secure the Property. A
true and correct copy of the Platinum Agreement is attached hereto as Exhibit C.
The damage to the Property and its contents was so significant that Ms. A*** expressly
acknowledges in the Agreement that Platinum’s work was being performed “to address a bona fide immediate personal emergency[.]” Id., at 2 (emphasis in Agreement).
Ms. A*** authorized Platinum to perform “any and all reasonable services, and to
provide related materials and equipment, to board up and secure the Property and/or to attempt to mitigate further damage to the Property[.]” Id., at 1 (emphasis added). This is precisely what Platinum did. See Exhibit B.
      C. Platinum Provides Immediate Services And Equipment That Secure The
Property Against Additional Post-Fire Damage That Is Not Covered By ******* ******’s Policy.
It was not a simple task to secure Ms. A***’s Property against post-fire damage.
Platinum developed and executed a multi-step plan, on an emergency basis, to protect the
Property from further harm. Platinum took a large number of pictures to document the significant damage that the fire, and later water, caused to the Property, as well as the substantial work Platinum performed to protect the Property. Pictures of the burned-out roof and damage to the interior of the Property are attached as Exhibit D.
      1. On The Night Of The Fire, Platinum Boarded Up, Tarped, Stripped And
Tarred The Burned Portion Of Ms. A***’s Roof.
As soon as Ms. A*** signed the Agreement, Platinum began work on the roof. Platinum
installed plywood in the holes in the roof. Pictures, attached as Exhibit E. Platinum then
covered that plywood with tarps, to protect against moisture until the side of the Property could be replaced. Pictures of tarp over side plywood are attached as Exhibit F. Platinum also
stripped and tarred portions of the Property’s roof that required immediate attention to protect against additional damage, as the ******* ****** policy required.
In addition, Platinum was boarded up and tarped a window at the Property that had been
damaged during the fire and fire-fighting efforts.
      2. Platinum Also Performed Substantial Additional Work To Protect The
      Damaged Interior Of The Property.
Closing the outer shell of the Property by boarding tarping, stripping and tarring the roof
and securing a window was a good and necessary first step, but far more was required to protect the interior Property from additional damage.
When a fire destroys a large portion of a house, and the house is exposed to the elements, and hundreds of gallons of water are pumped through that house, as occurred here, there is no time to shop for, or even rent, the multiple different types of machines that are required for insureds like Ms. A*** to fulfill their contractual duty under ******* ******’s policy to avoid and mitigate further loss. Moreover, most homeowners do not have an on-call electrician to set up temporary power for this equipment and install safety lights.
A company like Platinum provides premium value to fire victims by maintaining all of
the equipment required to address the various issues that arise from a fire, and by delivering that equipment to the Property immediately – on the night of the fire – as Platinum did in this case.
Platinum arranged for an electrician to make an emergency call to address electrical
issues and set up temporary power by delivering a generator to the Property.
Platinum then delivered and installed three commercial grade dehumidifiers to the
Property. Pictures, attached as Exhibit G. These dehumidifiers are essential in quickly drying
out the water the fire department used to put out the fire to prevent the development and spread of mold and mildew, and to prepare the Property for reconstruction.
Platinum also promptly delivered three commercial grade “air scrubbers” – machines that remove airborne debris that is caused by a fire, and by the efforts to put the fire out. Pictures of HEPA filter air scrubbers are attached as Exhibit H. Among other airborne materials, the air scrubbers remove and reduce mold, mildew and many of the smells and airborne dust particles that result from a fire. The “air scrubbers” also help the dehumidifiers operate more efficiently, by removing airborne debris that can clog dehumidifiers and inhibit their operation.
For added protection, Platinum placed padlocks on the Property and cleaned up the
substantial debris surrounding the burned home, which is a hazard.
If it had not been for Platinum’s prompt service, Ms. A*** may have sustained
additional damage that ******* ****** could have refused to pay for. Even if ******* ******
volunteered to pay for post-fire damage, correcting the additional damage would have
necessarily delayed or extended the time needed for the reconstruction work on the Property.
Ms. A*** was very fortunate that she chose to hire Platinum to immediately and expertly protect the Property.
      D. Ms. A*** Admits, In Her Review, That Platinum Did Precisely What Ms. A*** Hired Platinum To Do.
By the Agreement, Ms. A*** authorized Platinum to “board up and secure the Property
and/or attempt to mitigate further damage to the Property,” as Ms. A***’s ******* ******
insurance policy requires. Exhibit _____, at 1 (emphasis added). In her Review, Ms. A*** admits that “Platinum secured my house immediately after a fire.”
      E. Ms. A*** Does Not Make Any Complaint About The Emergency Work That
      Platinum Performed.
There is nothing in Ms. A***’s Review about the scope or quality of the work that
Platinum performed, the machines that Platinum brought to Ms. A***’s Property on an
emergency basis, or the electrician that Platinum convinced to make an emergency house call to Ms. A***.
Ms. A*** does not complain that Platinum performed too much work, or too little. Ms.
A*** does not complain that any of the services Platinum provided were defective. To the
contrary, Ms. A*** admits that Platinum “secured [her] house immediately,” which is precisely
what Ms. A*** hired Platinum to do.
      F. Ms. A*** Violated Her Contract With Platinum By Filing This Review.
Ms. A*** agreed to raise “[a]ny claim for faulty performance, nonperformance, and/or
breach under this Agreement … in writing within thirty (30) days after completion of services.
Agreement, Exhibit A, at 2 § 8. Ms. A*** never made any claim that Platinum’s services were
defective within 30 days (or at any time). Id. Ms. A*** agreed that her “[f]ailure to make a
written claim for any matter which could have been corrected by Platinum” is waived. Id. Ms.
A*** never made any claim of any defect, within 30 days.
The Agreement also states that “[n]o action, regardless of form” can be brought more
than one (1) year after Ms. A*** knew or reasonably should have known of her complaint.
Agreement, Exhibit A, at 2 § 8. Ms. A*** filed this Review in direct violation of her agreement
not to have done so after a year.
      G. Ms. A*** Admits That She Has Absolutely No Factual Basis For Her
Knowingly False Assertions That Platinum Is “Shady” And “Trying To Take
      Advantage” Of Her.
Mrs. A*** knowingly and intentionally begins her Review with the false and factually
unsupported assertions that Platinum is “shady” and “trying to take advantage” of her.
      1. Ms. A*** Admits That Platinum Identified A “Great” Public Adjuster.
The Maryland legislature has made a well-reasoned decision to authorize public adjusters to assist homeowners in this State in negotiating better insurance settlements with their homeowner’s insurer after a fire. Md. Code Ann. (Ins.) § 10-401(g)(1)(i) (defining public
adjusters as those who assist property insureds in “negotiating for, or effecting the settlement of, a claim for loss or damage covered by an insurance policy”). The Maryland Insurance
Commissioner licenses and regulates these public adjusters, who play a vital role in maximizing policyholder settlements of homeowners and other insurance claims. Id., et seq.
Ms. A***’s “criticism” is that Platinum “referred [her] to a great public adjuster” is
really more of a compliment. In fact, Platinum just provided Ms. A*** names of multiple public adjusters.
      2. Ms. A*** Rejected Platinum’s “Referral.”
Ms. A*** did not hire a public adjuster. Ms. A*** knows, for certain, that she has no
idea whether a public adjuster would have assisted her or not, whether the public adjuster would have been honorable, or what the public adjuster would have charged. Ms. A*** also has no idea whether the public adjuster she never hired would have convinced ******* ****** to pay Platinum’s entire bill, or would have otherwise acted in her best interests, or not.
Ms. A***’s baseless complaint is that Platinum referred her to a public adjuster that
      she never used.
      3. Ms. A***’s Assertion That “Public Adjusters Take A Large Portion Of
The Claim As Their Profit” Is Not Specific To The Public Adjusters That
      Platinum Named For Ms. A***.
Public adjusters who charge a percentage fee of certain claim payouts are required to
disclose the percentage that they will charge to their clients in writing, in their public adjuster
contract, prior to the client signing the contract. Md. Code Ann. (Ins.) § 10-411(a)(3)(ix),(x). As
such, any portion of a claim payout that a public adjuster takes has necessarily been agreed to by the policyholder when the policyholder hires the public adjuster. Id.
Ms. A***’s general “research” concerning all public adjusters – not the public adjusters
that Platinum named – is irrelevant. Ms. A*** does not know what fee the specific public
adjusters that Platinum named would have charged, because she never contacted the public
adjusters, never saw the public adjusters’ contracts, and does not know what fee the public
      adjusters charge.
Ms. A***’s illogical argument in the Review is that since some public adjusters charge
fees that are large portions of insurance claim payouts, Platinum was “shady” to answer her
question when she asked Platinum to name public adjusters. Public adjusters are also bound by strict statutory ethical duties to act in the best interests of their clients. Md. Code Ann. (Ins.) §§ 10-414, 10-415. Any public adjuster who charges an egregiously high percentage fee (which the client would have necessarily agreed to pay in the public adjuster contract) may have violated these ethical duties. Ms. A***, of course, does not know whether the public adjusters that Platinum named for her would have violated these duties because she never contacted the adjusters or learned their fees.
      4. Ms. A*** Has No Factual Basis To Criticize Platinum For (Allegedly)
Naming The Same Public Adjuster(s) To Her Unidentified Friend.
Ms. A*** knows that her allegation that Platinum “refer[ed]” her and her friend to a
“public adjuster,” in the singular, is factually incorrect, because Platinum did not make a referral, but rather identified multiple public adjusters in response to a question from Ms. A***.
Platinum also does not identify public adjusters to all of Platinum’s clients. Ms. A*** is
simply wrong in suggesting this in the Review.
      5. Ms. A***’s Assertion That Platinum Also “Puts Everyone In Touch With
The Same Contractor” Is Similarly False.
Ms. A*** cannot reasonably assume that she and her “friend” are Platinum’s only
clients. Ms. A*** makes the baseless and speculative extrapolation that because Platinum
allegedly “referred” the same contractor to Ms. A** and her friend (Platinum did not make
these “referrals”), then Platinum must “refer” that contractor to all of Platinum’s thousands and
thousands of clients. Ms. A***’s assertion is incorrect. Some Platinum clients do not even
need a contractor, but instead require only loss mitigation services.
More fundamentally, the alleged referral of a contractor that Ms. A*** never used is not
inherently “shady.” Even if Platinum did “refer” the same contractor to all of Platinum’s clients
(it does not make referrals), that contractor could be a great fit for the client. Ms. A***’s
      speculation is flawed.
      6. Ms. A*** Implicitly Admits That All Of Her False Allegations Are Based
      On Speculation, And Not Fact.
Ms. A*** admits in the Review that she simply “feels like” Platinum did not act in her
best interest – but she does not know. Ms. A*** first incorrectly speculates that Platinum refers all of its clients to the same public adjuster and contractor (it does not, as discussed above), and then on that false premise, further speculates that Platinum makes these referrals to set “his buddies up with work business,” which is simply not true.
Ms. A***’s Review should be disregarded.
      Sincerely,
      **** ** *****

      Emily A

I never asked Platinum about a public adjuster. I did not even know what a public adjuster was or anything about the process before this happened to me. Platinum called me and recommended that I speak with one because he said many of his clients had bad experiences with my insurance company. He then gave me the number of one and only one public adjuster, so their statement that I asked Platinum about the adjuster and that I was given multiple people to call is completely false. When I recently spoke with a friend who also worked with Platinum and they had the exact same experience, I realized that Platinum was in my opinion trying to take advantage of people in a vulnerable position by referring them to select businesses for their profit. So my sole purpose of writing this review is to warn people, not for retribution. It is true that Platinum is suing my insurance company, and to my surprise myself (my insurance is refusing to pay a portion of the services billed as they feel that Platinum overcharged), but this is a completely separate issue, and has nothing to do with why I chose to write this review.

The guys at platinum boarded up my house after the fire and this gave me the peace of my mind that our house and the contents within will be secured until a construction crew starts renovation. Will seeks for the well being of his clients by offering insights on how to deal with losses incurred through fire.
I recommend the Platinum guys highly to anyone because offer great service.

William and his team were there when I needed them. They secured my house the night of my house fire and checked in with me personally the following day. William also stopped by to clean up a pile of debris in the front yard that was an eyesore for my neighbors. I appreciate the work they did for me.
