I took my vehicle to Sport Honda in *************, MD on November 21st, 2024 due to my brake caliper getting stuck and grinding my wheel rotor. Sport Honda fixed my vehicle, but they want to charge me $1,400 to fix 1 wheel. I had this same issue on my vehicle before back in 2021, but the Waldorf Honda dealership only charged me $400. That's a $1000 mark up. You mean to tell me 1 wheel costs that much??Business Response

I purchased a 2018 Chevrolet Tahoe Premier from Sport Chevrolet in January of 2024. About 2 or 3 months of having the vehicle I started to have issues. The warning lights on the vehicle indicated Transmission issue. The car overheated and stalled on the highway. I took the car for service paid out of pocket sum $7-800 for repair. It is now about 3 to 4 months later and I am being told the Transmission needs a full replacement which is upwards of $7k!! I am filing this complaint because Sport Chevrolet knowingly sold me a vehicle in a present dangerous and costly condition. Please assist! Thank you.Business Response

I am rejecting this response because:The vehicle was brought in for transmission issues and it just so happened to be 1279miles from the dealer warranty. A Bandaid was placed on the problem and I am still having transmission issues today. I brought my vehicle regularly for oil changes and these issues had not been addressed or brought up as concerning or something to be looked into to give me the option to accept or decline service if necessary. I am concerned that this was an issue well before I purchased the vehicle and were not properly fixed in May 2023 now was I warned. The invoice I received states the exact issue I am still experiencing while now having a $40k car sitting on the curb inoperable. The car fax report is incorrect stating solenoids were replaced as they were not! And that is a discrepancy which leads me to believe a carfax report can be doctored to say anything.

I am rejecting this response because: they are claiming that my transmission concern was never address** when in fact the vehicle was brought in to be servic** for a transmission issue and they told me it was something else Which was bandaid-** and left me with this continuing issue of course right after the warranty expir**. Dealerships shouldn't get away with this type of service. I brought this car in May 8th 2023 for a transmission issue. Why is that not list** in their records? I attach** a picture of the car being tow** because it stall** on the highway prior to May 8th. I was able to turn the car off and start it again after some time and drive it safely off the road. The same thing happen** again and I had it tow**. I paid Sport some off $600 for the issue not to be fix** and now I have a larger issue. I had to return the car to the dealer after I purchas** it for some work to be done as well. I will attach the receipt also. And after this incident in May, my car was brought in on the separate dates list** in the letter for this problem not to be address** yet again

I have attached the receipt from Sport for service in May 2023 where there clearly was a transmission concern. Why would they state i never addressed this concern with them. Again, this service date is not listed in their "resolution letter" and I wonder why not. Again, this is ******* after purchase and this was not the 1st time it happened. If I had known I needed to document every issue to prevent being called a liar I would have. I will gather any more information i have to support my claim.Initial Complaint

I purchased a vehicle from this dealer in May 2023. In January 2024 my EV car was damaged by a charging adapter that melted the charge port preventing charging. It has been over 2 months and they have been unable to supply a replacement part for my less than 1 year old vehicle. Further, my EZPass was in my vehicle when I dropped it off at the dealer and was removed from my vehicle and used to run up over $350 in tolls from late January to late February. The dealer is now refusing to reimburse me for the toll amounts incurred from my EZPass being stolen while the vehicle was under their charge.Business Response

My 2007 ******** ******** *** has been in the repair facility since August 2022 due to electrical issues where my vehicle started to catch fire under the hood and the ****** ******* County fire department had to extinguish it. I chose to work with this repair facility as my insurance company (***** ****) did not have a preferred vendor equipped to handle the electrical issue. On September 23, 2002, a revised estimate was sent to ***** **** stating the supplemental repairs would take approximately four days to complete. ***** **** paid the claim, however, my vehicle is still at the repair facility, Per ***** ****, there is nothing else required from them from the filed claim. In August 2023 the repair facility reported to ***** **** my vehicle needed a new engine plus additional work costing approximately $16k to repair. I've attempted to get clarification from the repair facility as to why my vehicle now requires additional work that was not identified in the estimate presented last September. The September estimate documents my vehicle being in good condition with no prior damage. I have been given every excuse and stall tactic one could think of by the repair facility as to why my vehicle remains unrepaired. After exhausting ***** ****s rental allowance and personal expenses incurred (over $2k) renting a vehicle, the repair facility finally provided a loaner car in January 2023. In June 2023 I returned the loaner car due after being contacted by the repair facility informing me the loaner car I was issued was sold with an update my vehicle was not running properly. I received another loaner car, and shortly thereafter I was informed my vehicle was fixed. I arranged to return this loaner car on September 11, 2023, and to discuss my vehicle. Upon arrival, I was told both the service manager and service advisor were in meetings and they would call me when available. Shortly after, leaving the repair facility I received a call from the service advisor apologizing for not meeting with me. We had a lengthy conversation which my wife recorded. During the discussion, the service manager agreed with the points I made regarding the misconduct on their part and the inconvenience caused, however, no resolution has been made. There's been no follow-up from the repair facility and I have been forced to rent another car.Business Response

I had my 2003 *** ****** towed to Sport Chevrolet, on November 7, 2022, due to a brake failure. They told me there was a two week backlog. ******, their service representative, called a week later and told me the brake line had busted and the fuel lines needed to be replaced and he would get an estimate together and give me a call back. I waited a week, never heard a thing. I called him and he told me that they were having a hard time finding vintage parts for my vehicle especially the fuel lines. I told him I wanted it fixed and he said they could only do the brake lines and he would give the tech the go ahead but when I got off the phone I was able to find the fuel lines in less than ten minutes and they had them in stock. I called him back and told him I found the parts at ****** and he said he would tell the parts dept. and would let me know when he had the estimate ready. Did not hear from him for another week so I called and he was not there. I left a message. Never heard anything, so I went up to the business and he was not there. Another service rep tried to help me but ****** didn't have any updates so I left another message. Never heard anything. I called again on Dec 1, 2022 once again ****** was not available so I asked to speak to a manager. They transferred me to *******************, who was also not available so I left a message. Never heard anything. I called today Dec 5,2022 Once again ****** is not there. Another rep tried to help me but said that no one has been assigned to work on my truck even though ****** said it would be completed by the beginning of Dec. The rep could not find a completed estimate from ****** so he really couldn't help me either but would print up what he had and give it to ******************* to get to the bottom of it. My vehicle has been there a month with nothing being done. They claim because I didn't have an appt they would have to work me in but when I brought it in isn't that making an appt? Please help me get to the bottom of this.Business Response
