    I signed a contract with Allied Remodeling to replace an old deck in the amount of $17,367 and obtained financing with them via Time Investment. The amount that they submitted to be financed was $19,305 which was $1938 more than the contract. I have requested that they work with the financing company to correct the amount that was financed. They have stated that they will give me a check for the difference which I have stated that I did not want. My credit report shows a line of credit for $19,305 which is more than the amount of contract. I have also reached out to Time Investment for their assistance and I am waiting to hear back from them.

    The customer financed for a total of $19,250. The contract amount was $17,367 which was a difference of $1,883. It is my understanding that the financing was set up for a higher amount if it happened that the customer wanted to add extras. No extras ended up being added but since the financing was finalized we had to pay back the financing company to resume the customer's principal to the $17,367 contract amount. This has already been completed, I am not sure why this complaint is coming out now. We initially offered to simply refund a check to the customer, she did not want that route so we paid the financing company direct to reduce her principal

    It was not my understanding that financing would be processed for more than what I needed. If it was the case that financing would be processed for more than what I needed why did I have to call the salesman to notify him verses someone from Allied Remodeling calling to notify me. Per the salesman, Kevin, he noted he completed the financing paperwork.

    In addition, I did not order any "extras" that would necessitate the need for additional financing. When I choose the material for the deck I was given a price based on my choices. Allied Remodeling has exhibit dishonest and fraudulent business practices. They resolved the matter because I notified them of the issue.
