    On 6/8/24 I was in the house talking to my parents on the phone and I proceeded to come outside to my vehicle to it being gone. I called 911 to locate my vehicle and discovered that Duffs Towing towed my truck from in front of my apartment. I called the lot at 11:36am and the young lady said that they did have my truck but the lot closed at 12 that day I quickly Uber to the lot with my 2 year old toddler to get my truck . The company is stating that we have new parking permits and that I was towed for not having a parking permit. Residents were not properly notified of this change or that these bamas have started towing. Now tonight 6/10 my vehicle was towed again !!!! I moved to the property in February and at the time they didnt have towing. Why not give residents time to get a new permit or clear any balance so that they can get the new permit. Heres the kill, there is one resident with the same parking permit as me but that car goes untouched!!! What the h*** is that about???

    This company practices illegal towing practices. They do illegal towing and run illegal business practices according to state of Maryland. I had gone to M&T Bank in Upper Marlboro, Maryland. I had to go to the bathroom, but no restroom available, so went next door to the coffee shop to go to the bathroom. I ended up getting a coffee and spending over 30 minutes there, which was not planned. I had planned to go to the bank and complete my work and get out. After using the bathroom and getting coffee, I came back to the bank and did my banking. I come out and my car has been towed supposedly by the order of the bank. I thought this was rude snd unprofessional. The bank said that they cannot do anything about this, so I decided I want nothing to do with their bank and will not have any kind of account with them. Plus, my car has handicap marker on there and is not supposed to be towed. That is illegal. I go to get my car from Duff Towing, but guy on phone fails to tell me they close at 5pm. I get there and they are closed. Maryland law states that towing places must be open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week and take credit cards. Guy at towing place says he will only give me car back if only pay cash. I go to get cash, but he is gone by the time I get there. Paying with cash is dangerous because person can pocket it, not report it on taxes, and no record of transaction. If I paid with cash, the guy might not have given me my car back. I reported this place to the proper Maryland authorities fir illegal towing practices.
