    I spent the day waiting for the tech to come. I called their dispatch who said he would be there by 7:00 PM. He called at 5:17 PM and left a message on Voice Mail that if I didn't call him back in 5 minutes he would cancel. When I called, it went to an announcement that said they are closed. No one there to answer. Really s***** customer service! I only used them because AHS contracts them to do this work. I will call AHS and lodge a complaint. I wasted my entire day waiting for this A**** to show up.

    We’ve had 495 out several times to help us. The technicians have been helpful and been able to be scheduled in a timely fashion. Very grateful for their good work and they help me set up the app on my phone for our new system this last time.

    An outstanding business. The serviceman who did the job of repairing our garage door was highly competent and greatly concerned about the job being done in a highly professional manner. Careful to explain how the job could be done, we never showed any resentment to my many questions about what was necessary to complete the work effectively. Personable, he took time to answer my series of questions in a mature and respectful manner. Certainly, my family would use this firm again for a similar or different need, without hesitation. Their price for the work was mist reasonable, as well!!

    I had a service call through a home warranty.
    First of all, the appontment time was change last minute and a guy finally showed up around 4pm.
    Second, my garage door opener was not working properly. When the service tech showed up he didn't do anything, he just push a button on my opener and pushed it again then asked me to pay my co-pay $75. I thought he fixed the issue, but he didn't. Without telling me what's wrong with my garage door opener he tried to sell me a $350 tune up package for my perfectly working door. I wanted him to fix the opener but he was completely ignoring what I said. After that I asked about if my opener is fixed, he said no, my opener is too old and need to be replaced. MY OPENER IS NOT OLD, and the purpose of the service call was to have him to fix the opener. At least open the door opener and do a diagonosis. He didn't even bother to check it or use a ladder to see what's going wrong. He also tried to sell me an opener for $1000.

    The technician stayed for 10 minutes and spent 9 minutes trying to sell me extra "services" that could cost around $1000.

    So I paid $75 co-pay through my warranty and nothing was being done. This company is shady and scam and I am going to work with my warranty company to get this refunded.

    The terrible sloppy technician's name is Issac per dispatch's email.

    On July 31st 2023 we had a tech come out from 495 garage doors, Isaac, after calling American Home Shield. When he arrived the first thing he told my wife was if the unit needed a part it would take a few weeks or if we needed a whole new unit we would have to pay him. That is not how American Home Shield works. My wife got loud with him for trying to get money out of her without diagnosing the issue, she didn't cuse or threaten him just got loud. She also called Home Shield and they heard the rest of the conversation. Second Isaac said she would need to move both cars from the garage, while standing there with his truck in the driveway. She said she could not move them with his truck in the way. Once he moved she got both cars out with help from my neighbor, I have a classic car and she is not comfortable driving it. When Isaac got on his ladder he went up to the unit, all of 5 minutes, and reset the garage door. He got in his truck and sped away like he was mad that he couldn't get any money. I called the office the next day and spoke to a woman and she agreed that was not the right thing for Isaac to say. I agreed not to leave a negative review until I heard from his manager, David, she assured me that she would have him call me the next day, Wednesday, which came and went without a call. I called the office again Thursday and spoke to David. He first agreed with me but then turned the story around to my wife yelling at Isaac, I would have yelled also if the first thing you said to me was i would have to pay you for a new unit. The conversation got heated and he hung up on me. I get a call back within a minute from the lady i spoke to on Tuesday and at first she agreed Isaac was wrong but when I told her I was leaving a bad review after David did not return my call she changed it up to make Isaac look like he was right by saying if we wanted an upgrade we would have to pay 495 garage doors the difference. Send a tech that will diagnose first!

    I've used 495 Garage Door a couple times now. The technician (Mike) is always friendly, communicates arrival time and does a fantastic job with the repair(s). Very honest about what needs to be replaced, or fixed as well. Goes the extra mile to make sure customer is happy. I've found their prices and schedule coordinator are also great.

    I’ve used 495 Garage a few times. The technician (Hollis) has been extremely professional, helpful and patient when explaining to me and modeling how I use and reset my keypad.
