    Since Champaign's was sold they have become corrupt! I started as a customer back in 1996. They were a nice family run business with fair and competitive pricing and great customer service. Now that they are owned by a big National Conglomerate, boy have they changed!! Just this spring (2024), when the price locally was ~$3.00/gallon for Propane, they were charging us $5.00. When we called, they reduced the price to $3.80/gallon if we signed a contract through May. We signed their contract and never saw that price; when the contract expired we changed to a new company (that FYI filled the tanks for $2.40/gallon!!!) and I called Champaign's to come get their tanks and reimburse us for what was remaining in the tanks (54% in one and 48% in the second). Instead they claim I owe them another $460. and has not reimbursed me for anything remaining in the tanks. STAY AWAY!

    I moved into a home with a Champagne energy tank. I completely ran out of propane and asked to be placed on automatic delivery. I was told they would have to check my credit. I unfroze my credit (which was frozen from the Experian breach) so they could do so. This same scenario just occurred for the 5th time. This time she told me I had to fill out a form to apply for automatic delivery, which had not been mentioned the previous 4 times we acted out this same dance. Do NOT go near this company if you can avoid it. Clearly they are inefficient in an extraordinary way.
