    ON FRIDAY 12/15/2024 A SERVICEMAN FROM TOTAL COMFORT/******* METAL SHOP CAME TO SERVICE MY FURNACE. HE APPEARED AROUND 9:10 AMS AND AS HE WAS LEAVING ABOUT 1 HOUR LATER SAID THAT EVERYTHING WAS RUNNING FINE. HE THEN WENT TO HIS VAN AND STAYED THERE FIR IVEER 1 HOUR,IN RECEIVING THE BILL I NOTICED I WAS CHARGED $ ***** FOR PARATS, BUT $300 FOR LABOR. THE ******** INDECATED THAT LABOR CHARGES WERE $120/HR. I MAILED THE CHECK TO *****"S METAL SHOP, ********************* BIDDEFORD, ***** WITH MY COMPLAINT ABOUT BEING OVERCHARGED. THEY HAVE NOT RESPONDED AS OF 12/3/2024

    I have not heard from the business in response to my complaint. We spoke to the owner who tried to explain the time required for the service. When i told him I observed his tech sitting his van for an hour he could not explain it. He said the most he could refund me was $50, but since I already paid i said if he wanted to refund me please send a check. I have not received anything yet.

    Thank you for contacting us about your recent oil burner PM. I recall speaking with your daughter ****** on 12/3/24 about this issue. I reviewed the last 3 years of cleanings that we've done for you and averaged the hours which comes out to 2.33 hours (last 3 years of invoices attached). You were invoiced for 2.5 hours of labor. I did speak with my technician who performed the service on 11/15/24. He claims that he did not sit in his van for over an hour and I have never received complaints like that about him before so I have no reason to doubt him. I am willing to offer a $20.00 credit to bring this years labor in line with the average of the last 3 years. Again, I apologize for the dissatisfaction but hope that this credit shows my willingness to come to a fair resolution to this issue.
