We paid $125,000 for a double Wide home. The roof has leaked during rain events and melt off since installation. They have been out 4 times in total to resolve the issue. First an inspection, followed by replacing the boots on the bathroom vent pipes. Then patching holes in the roof from nails. None of this resolved the issue. Now they are saying its out of warranty. The original issue was never fixed and the water damage, mold, and the continuous leaking of the roof has not been addressed. Looking for a resolution. Whether they replace the roof in its entirety at this point with a work guarantee, or if I need to hire someone to replace the roof funded through them. I need to get this resolved. I have a 2 year old Son that cannot live in these conditions. Purchasing a brand new home and having a roof leak immediately and continuously until out of warranty because of failure to complete the necessary repairs is unjust.Business Response

Our records indicate that the roof leak was terminated when we replaced the ridge cap on the home in question. At this time the home is no longer under warranty. I urge the home owner to contact the ******************************** if they are not happy with our response.Initial Complaint

To Whom it May ******************** **********************,
We are responding to the complaint filed by ***************.
When we met with *************** to do a meet and Greet with her back on January 31st, 2024, at 10:00 in person with both Mr. *** *************** at 10:30 am we went over the project and concerns which we have documented in emails and our builder trend (which customer has access to and has been using t to write comments.
In the Meeting the only concerns *************** had was can she use our ******************* (we said, heck yes, and 2 she wanted to stay in her trailer that was on site as long as possible, as she did not want to move into the camper. (we honored her wishes for both)
On March 14th it was brought to our attention while doing the building permit that Neither Mr. nor *************** had taken out a permit to have the home (that they sold to someone prior and were still living in it) either moved or demolished. This held up the permit process. We called and emailed them and advised them they needed to do this.
On March 22,2024 *************** called our office to know if she must get rid of the trailer right now as she doesn't want to move into the camper yet/she asked if she should put another 50 to 100 gallons of oil in the tank. I advised her to start with 50 gal still waiting on code.
On April 8th, we reached out to the city of ******** to see where the status of the permit we submitted stood.
April 22,2024 *************** called to advise them they were back from their weeks vacation. As she did not want us doing anything while she was gone.
On May 03,2024 *************** called and wanted to know when she needed to move out of her house, and into the camper.
May 22,2024 Building permit was approved and picked up.
On July 7th, 2024, *************** was advised that a crew member would be out to site to mark out for dig safe.
July 15th 20204 *************** met with our rep and spoke to him.
We are working diligently on her project and have found a sub-contractor who is willing to work on her project who gave us a bid yesterday
We have been honest and transparent with *************** throughout this process. We have logs and emails as well to back up all communications.
Thank you for your time.
Thank you,
***********************

Keeping this high level as I see I am limited with how many letters I can type here. I purchased a modular home with Coastline Homes in 2020. The home was finally delivered and placed on the foundation, and I moved into the home at the end of February of 2021. Per the contract, I had 1 year to report any final "repairs" that needed to be completed on the home (example, cracks or other items that were not completed or shifted or not working as expected). The final list was reported in Feb of 2022. ********* confirmed it would be about a month before they would come back to resolve these issues. After many months passed without being able to contact to the construction team I called **************** and learned Schiavi had taken over. After making contact with ***** at Schiavi in June of 2022, my home is still not completed. They have sent staff out a couple times and each time they leave and still have remaining items left to address. After endless attempts to work with Schiavi for 2 years I feel my patience is completely gone at this point. In December of 2023, **** and I made a surprise visit to their office to make an attempt with the owner to inform him what was going on in hopes he would ensure our homes was completed. Of course we received attention shortly after that visit. When they sent out another crew several months ago, they indeed did fix numerous items, but again, not all of them. Since then, I have called the office several times, and also sent emails only to be ignored. I really feel they are just hoping I give up. At this point, I refuse to stop until my final items are addressed. I have every email communication exchange with Coastline and Schiavi for the last 4 years. They have not followed through on their contract and obligations. I have been advised to reach out to the *********************** and that is likely my next step. I would never recommend this business to anyone else ever.Customer Answer
