We are extremely displeased with the move. I understand the move needing to be pushed back, that is not an issue. Im very disappointed in the movers themselves. It took them 3 hours plus to load the truck, and they werent able to fit everything. They spent at least a third of the time standing around or sitting and chatting. Then, a half hour unload and time for lunch turned into four and a half hours before the delivery of our items. When they arrived, they spent 15 min in the truck and appeared and smelled high. At 8:30 pm one of them was shouting over what I think was a football score. Overall their demeanor was very ***************** addition, several of our items arrived damaged. It appears our sofa was left with its back in the mud and snow. Items they packed were packed poorly, including an espresso machine that was not emptied of water and soaked through the bottom of the box. Many boxes were torn,heavy boxes were dropped in top of fragile boxes, and frequently boxes were just dropped with no regard to if they were marked fragile. See photos attached.I do not expect to be charged for the time they were not working and I certainly would hoped theyll be talked to about the safety of doing such manual labor inebriated.We paid $1,100 total on December 1, 2024. Used them to move out of my dorm and to store items for a semester + summer. Picked up items relatively easily, but were not very organized - I asked for some supplies to pack up some clothing on hangers and they didn't bring anything and we were forced to used trash bags. Problems arose when I attempted to get my items back from storage. Impossible to contact, disorganized, unprofessional. Many of the items they returned to me were damaged as well, moldy, dirty, etc. even though I used their storage and moving facilities.Upon receiving my items I realized I was missing nearly $1500 worth of items. They said they have no idea where my items are and that I didn't check their FVP plan (protection for my items and to take inventory) so I will get no reimbursement. However, I was able to uncover that I actually did, so they are in violation of their own contract. Refuses to reimburse me of any sorts.Business Response

I booked company for 8/14 @ 8am. I received the conf text as well that my deposit was recvd On 8/14 I sent an email as I had not heard from the movers. I recvd a text from ***** stating that their computers were down and should be to me by 10am.The movers showed up at 2:15 costing me 6 hrs of lost work time. tThe movers said that they were at another job and the system wasnt down. The mover also said you didnt buy the insurance. I dont feel that the movers should know that. So they know they can have 0 regard for your items because you didnt choose the insurance.This was the most unorganized chaos I have ever seen in my life! They took all of my items down the elevator and left everything sitting in the hallway for anyone to take. Several times I went down to see what was going on as it was taking ***** for them to bring one item down. There were several times where one of the movers was standing there talking to the other mover. I started being stuff to the truck as here was no sense of urgency on their end. I then stood there and watched them argue about how to get the ramp back in for ***** min- that is not my problem and should not be charged for that time. We then went to the storage facility and one of the movers dragged my bureau down the ramp that even a 5 year old would know it would cause damage.Lastly, as the movers were leaving they backed into a rock wall and knocked a tree over falling on the power lines.I texted ***** to make him aware with no response. I did receive a bill for $271.25 for what Im not sure.I declined the invoice as the business had not responded to calls/ text or email. They then debited the $271.25 from my debit card that I used for the deposit without my consent. I have called several times and emailed with no response.I want to be credited back the total amount. The only email that I received was what appeared to be an auto generated email Offering me a $25 LLBean gift card for writing a review. I tried responding to the email and calling the office again. I have not received any response from any calls/ texts/ emails.

Some kids these days are ungrateful spoiled brats. Im sure shes an only child who never got disciplined by her parents. ????
1. We texted her in the AM and told her we were running late. All arrival times are approximate and the contract she signed stated this. ??
2. Our 2 movers loaded and unload approximately **** lbs of household goods with a long carry AND HAD AN ELEVATOR to contend with. They did all this in **** hrs which is nothing short of heroic ...Great job guys ??
3. All wooden cased furniture was properly padded ??4. Regarding alleged home damage, we defer to our contract
There was a balance due ?? at the end of the job, so she makes up a bunch of ******************* to try and get a credit on the balance dueLOLNO!

Scheduled a move for December 15th @ 8 am, paid for the move in full with extended insurance coverage (3x the price). Cannot contact anyone via the phone, only a voicemail service where they do not call you back. The movers never showed up and sent two people 3.5 hours later. Realized an item couldn't be moved so refused to move anything at all. The manager of the company told me they would come back and complete the move at a later date due to them not showing up. Owner calls back when I am ready to schedule the move and says I need to pay in full again after the manager told me a completely different story.Business Response

Transaction date 9/26/2022 Amount charged at time $985.88 Merchant Liberty *********** Move date 9/28/2022 between one and five pm The moving company e mailed me at 3:59 on the day of moving saying that their computer glitched and that my move was forgotten about. They said that they could move me the next day 9/29/2022. This put me in a bad situation as I had to be out at a certain time and date. The movers arrived without tools for dismantling things! From what I have read, this is common!One of them was quite pushy and pointed out that she was awoken at 730 am on her day off. For the original quote I was asked to upload a picture of my **** GE Fridge.The moving company knew about my fridge and my ordinary everyday washing machine.The movers themselves had no idea about these items! They arrived without the proper dollies or straps for moving these items. My Fridge was slid down the stairs upside down with no consideration for the glass shelf or any of the shelves. They also paid no attention to the hinges and attempted to slide the Fridge with its hinges facing downward. Ouch. Now the glass shelf is damaged, and the Fridge is dented. This fridge cost $6000 to replace.They broke a lamp.They busted my land Lady's window. Overall, they did not take good care of things. They were rough!They refused to cover box springs for beds. My box spring is now in storage without a cover. My 80-year-old mom covered her own box spring!I have sent emails and made phone calls to this merchant. They have been ignored.I paid for a level of service that includes reimbursement for the full value of all broken items! They ignore me.They only send me e mails with a bill of $538. They keep sending them. But ignore their responsibility. These are fraudulent people. One of these workers did not do much and another one of them spent an unusual amount of time on the toilet. Dear BBB,
This business has ignored my many e mails and phone calls. It is obvious that they are not interested in honoring their contract. They have taken no responsibility for any of the damage they caused.
This response does not address any of the issues. And why is ***** relevant to this matter?
Please take into consideration that ******* has investigated them for bullying their clients with a $1000 fee applied to any customer who posts negative comments. Their actions are unlawful.

My family and I were moving from an apartment to a house. Before this move, I contacted the company asking if they were comfortable moving a sleep number bed. They noted that they were. So I then booked with them and paid for the full coverage just in case furniture was damaged. On moving day, they showed up approximately 1.5 hours late. They did not have tools. I had to drive 30 mins to the new house to get the tools they needed. My husband also had to make a separate trip to *********** They did not seem to know how to take anything apart as all of them had to gather together every time they were taking something apart. What took the longest was the sleep number bed, which they initially verbalized that they had taken one apart once or 2x beforehand. I gave them chamber caps(necessary to move the bed) and had the mattress cover on the table(they had to move) next to the bed. They did not use any of these materials. Fast forward to finally getting to the new house. They just brought disassembled furniture in but never actually put it together. Once all of the disassembled things were in the house, they charged us another $1200 for extra time. They then attempted to leave. At this point, we asked to put our sleep number bed together. Approximately 30 mins later, they came downstairs and said it was fine. We went up there and it was deflated and not put together. My husband and I then had to problem solve it. I'm still unsure if it's actually fully fixed. A $500 coffee table was damaged as well along with some scuffs on the couches.My husband has been back and forth with Liberty for almost a month now trying to get reimbursement for the coffee table along with money back for the time it took them given they had to tools and had no idea what they were doing. They are disregarding the poor service. They offered $87 for a $500 coffee table when we paid for full coverage. There is a lot more that could be said but not enough characters available to say it.Business Response

Most customers that complain to the BBB ( Like these folks) are looking to bully companies into subsidizing their moves by posting false and defamatory statement online as a tactic to get refunds. That *** work with some companies, but not Liberty Bell Moving & Storage. The BBB should be ashamed to allow this to take place, and is complicit in the slander and defamation. Its unfortunate when customers agree to a contract, then blatantly lie and disparage our company online, but this is how todays cyber dystopian online world works.
