My wife and I shop at the hannaford on Wolf Rd, in **********. On a regular basis we try to buy meat that is on sale only to find the store does not have it in stock . This is usually a beef product that some other beef will not work for the recipe we are making . If the flyer says the item is on sale it should be in stock in all the stores . The meat manager is very nice and knowledgeable but always says that the flyers are printed six weeks ahead of the issue date and he cannot help that . We try to pre plan meals and like most people do not have an unlimited budget. I have spoken to store managers over the years about this but they seem clueless about this issue. Today (11/3/24) the manager gave me a more expensive roast because I expressed how unhappy I was . I come from a background in a family produce business and many wholesale distributors and can see there is a huge disconnect between your buyers and the suppliers they deal with . Gene in colonie **

In rural ***** you have one grocery store to survive from. It's a monopoly on a completely dependent population. In the last two months corporate Hannaford has removed Santa **** natural peanut butter and Califia Oat Milk from their stores. Two of the staples I would buy from them and for which there are no alternatives in the same quality/price range. They have done this in the past with over a dozen products I used to purchase. Complain to anyone and they tell you it's just a corporate decision which means the store, the managers, everything about it is just a corporate monster that cares nothing about the population or people it sells to. It's as bad as Big-Y now and that is saying something. Such a shame that corporate greed has ruined an entire chain of once great grocery stores. I will be bringing this up with my local representative. I believe if you have a monopoly on a vulnerable population you are required to continue supplying staples the population has bought for over a decade from you. Getting rid of these staples means people will suffer. F*** that. Hannaford you're going down and I'll get the politicians to f*** with you soon.

Expected groceries to be delivered tonight. Received a text that it would be tomorrow. Cannot reach anyone by phone to cancel. I need the groceries for a morning commitment. Very unhappy with this system.

In an effort to save some money (near impossible at Hannaford's anyway) I opted to try your private label dishwasher detergent and a private label spray cleaner. This dishwasher detergent is SO thin that it runs tight out of the compartment in the dishwasher and your spray cleaner sprayer sprays bleach all over the place because, except where you are aiming (and yes, I know how to use it) it is garbage. Could you please at least make an effort to make quality private label stuff and if you insist on selling garbage, at least charge reasonably for it. Your prices are outrageous and the quality of your Hannaford brand merchandise is terrible. You have officially lost a customer forever. Also how do you get off charging $11.99 for the same sized container of willow **** chicken salad that I bought at Market Basket for $4.99. You folks are crooks. I look forward to waving at every Hannaford's I pass on my way to Market Basket. Thank you.

On July 10, I was harassed by a young male employee for using an electric cart. I was informed by the employee that it was not to be taken outside for any reason.I am paralyzed on my right side and have no way to get to my car without the cart. I think that is wrong to tell someone not to use a cart to access their car. It left a bad taste in my mouth.

My son and I have tried to buy some groceries two times in a row . Both time Instacart failed to deliver to the right door . We are both disabled and we have tried buying them with food stamps . It said it was paid . The first time they gave us a refund . But now this time they refuse to pay us a refund and re deliver our groceries . They claim to have had delivered to our door , They sent us a picture of the groceries at the wrong door . We live in ************ and the email shows it was delivered to ******************************* ************** . That goes to prove they delivered to the wrong address .

I stopped into Hannaford Supermarket (store *****) today (April 24) around 2:41 p.m. to pick up a few items. According to my ticket I was at register 004, cashier 0220. I was standing behind a woman, who I thought had finished her transaction so I proceeded to type my rewards phone number (got the zip code and first 3 letters in) when the cashier started screerching at me. I was so startled by the loudness and tone of her voice that I stopped typing and just stared at her. When I realized that she was making reference to the customer that she was waiting on I immediately apologized saying "I'm so sorry, I thought you were finished," but she kept on talking in an agitated, loud tone of voice. Perhaps since I am a senior citizen I don't pay enough attention to the little things in life, but that was no reason for the cashier to make me feel inept. As a result, I selected to hold my piece until now. I felt humiliated. It saddens me that some people just don't know how to handle themselves in public. A kind, "I'm sorry Ms., I am still waiting on the customer in front of you," is all she had to say. I'm not trying to get anyone fired, but this most certainly has cast a negative impression of my shopping experience at Hannaford.

I am so frustrated and disappointed with the poor produce I pay good money for at Hannaford and it is inedible. This isn't the first, second or third time as well. I have stated this issue in every rewards survey I have submitted. Nothing changes. It is a large variety of items: lettuce, tomatos, cukes, celery, grapes, green peppers. They are soft, wilting, rotted through or in a container that you can't open to see how the produce is. I throw out so many products every week. I then have to shop elsewhere and spend more money that I really don't have to rebuy items. I know businesses need to make money but please take the produce away so people aren't stuck with it. I'm very seriously thinking about switching to another market to do my weekly grocery shopping.
