    Avoid this guy - contractor. Hired him to do some house trim work and he basically took our deposit - 1/2 of the job. After being blown off for 3 months, I finally told him I was cancelling the job. He said he'd be here on two dates after that and No Showed both times, car trouble then family issues. He then finally sent out a worker who started one of the 9 areas of the repair. No nails, no wood. This was the last straw. I contacted him and told them he was fired, and I wanted a portion of my deposit back and then ghosted us. It appears he has done this to several other people as well. I have filed a report with the Maine AG office and here at the BBB. **** also be taking him to Small Claims Court (along with a few other victims).

    I live in *********, **. On January 9th 2024 We contracted Evolution Contractors LLC, actually the owner B****** B******, for two jobs. First we wanted the floors replaced in the kitchen, foyer, and three bathrooms. We paid Br****** $2500.00 up front to start. B***** did everything but the transition strips between the places where there is carpet and flooring. He never finished the job. Despite numerous phone calls leaving messages, text, and emails we have not heard from him for months about completing the job. I ended up hiring another contractor to finish it. In addition we contracted for the replacement of a bay window and a window in an upstairs bedroom. I paid him $6,250.00 up front. He has disappeared from the face of the earth. I am forced to take him to civil court. The police have been contacted. They researched Evolution Contractors and they told us there are a few complaints about this company for the same reason. He has been in business for less than a year. He is ripping off the people who hire him. Evolution Contractors is a rip-off company. My recommendation is to not contract anything with this company.On 4/19/2024 I contacted Maine's Attorneys General to file a complaint. We were advised by the *************************** to start there.Finally, I hired another contractor to finish the transition strips. Update 8/12/2024 We still havent heard from B******. A complaint has been filed with the Maine ************************ and we are currently waiting for an arbiter to be assigned to the case.
