Was supposed to have a shed installed today from their other business (Shed Liquidators), seems like they work under various names, cancelled last minute due to weather (that never happened), did not inform me I had to contact them first. Very unprofessional and unhelpful. I have read various reviews and it seems they are unreliable changing dates with no notice, bring the wrong products, AND arrive without add-ons that customers order. Stay away from this business.Backyard Products

I'm sorry that you had a less than excellent experience. All dates that are give are a tentative. If there is bad weather, an installer has an emergency or a truck breaks down are all reasons that can cause a delay. Summer time is our busiest time of year and our branches and the customer service team do our best to address issues as quickly as possible so that our customers have a good experience.Review fromHeidi D

This company has zero integrity or customer service. I purchased a playset on 4/29/2024, I finally received confirmation that my installation would be 6/14/2024. That day came and went and no one showed up or communicated with me that they would not be showing up. They called me on the following Monday to reschedule my installation. They then proceeded to reschedule my installation 5 times. No call, no apologizing, they only rescheduled through there automated email system and text messages. My last installation was scheduled for today, 7/30/2024. I received a text message from a subcontractor the night before asking if my playset was at my house. I was never told that I needed to pick up my playset. When I called the next day, no one answered until 2pm in the afternoon after they sent me an automated message that my installation date was pushed back. When I asked to speak to the supervisor, *****, I was transferred and no voicemail was available. I asked where my product was and if I could get it delivered to my house and forgo the installation and they told me they would not be able to do that until end of August/beginning of September because they "prioritize" installation. The lack of customer service is appalling. I don't understand how this company can still be in business.Backyard Products

Good Afternoon,I apologize that you did not have a good experience with us. I have reviewed the account and it shows that there were 4 rescheduled counts before you canceled your order. Our local branch would have been able to get you in for the following week. We state that our dates are tentative dates due to several reasons. With your order, there was a builder availability issue and unfortunately, due to the admin availability, the branch did not have someone in the office to answer calls or make the changes during the time you were calling in.Review fromBryan F

Its unfortunate I cant give this zero stars. They have set install dates, cancelled 7 times over 6 months. Its always last minute. STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY. ****** should drop them ASAP.Backyard Products

I wish I saw these reviews before buying the playset and knowing Backyard Products would be installing. After waiting 1 month, they called 2 days before installation to confirm my day and time. I took the day off work, I also had my son's birthday party scheduled for this weekend since everything was confirmed. They called again the day before to cancel the installation telling me the product did not arrive yet. Even though 1 month prior they told me the set was in the warehouse, but I could not get an installation date sooner due to a booked schedule. I'm going to be waiting over 3 months for this set from purchase date, if it ever comes. I will probably just return this and get my money back at this point and go through a more reputable company. I do see that you spoke with the the local branch that will be doing your installation, advising them that ********** advised you that this was delivered to the branch on 7/20. Unfortunately, that date is not correct, all of our deliveries are handled internally and the product does not leave our hands from production to installation. I do understand the frustration, our branches are working very hard to get installations completed as quickly as possible. This is scheduled with a tentative installation date of 8/12, all dates are tentative due to bad weather, installer emergencies, trucks breaking down, etc...Review fromRobert G

Terrible company. Delivered the shed material on 6/17/24 almost a month earlier then the confirmed date with no notice. Sent wrong roof shingle color. ******* called them while here and they said they would send someone out the next day to exchange them. Nobody came. Called several times and left messages with company to see what was going on. They never returned any of our calls or e-mails. We didn't know when the actual installation was going to be. They never got back to us. Truck driver said many people we upset because the company is just having them make these deliveries without notifying the purchasers. Two days later My phone rang at 6:30am (6/19/24) but no message was left. Atn hour later a young man and his mother arrived to put the shed together. He was the call but didn't leave a message on our machine and instead sent a text not knowing it was a land line. Ended up not installing the shed because they never came to exchanged the roof shingles. Said the company would reschedule probably in a couple of weeks but didn't really know. We went to the store we purchased it from and asked them to return the uninstalled shed to that company. They were shocked at all the bad reviews. Gave us an immediate refund and arranged to have it picked up. We didn't feel comfortable working with this company. At least we purchased it through a great company that took care of this for us.Backyard Products

Do NOT use this company. They scheduled and rescheduled my delivery and installation of my swingset four times. Giving me excuses such as the driver got in an accident and then the last excuse was that they didnt have my swing set at all. Come to find out they used my swingset for a different order. Their customer service was absolutely horrible and I warn anyone using this company to think again.Backyard Products

I purchased a shed from Lowes and they had the backyard products people come out to install the shed. Upon leaving my yard the installer drove *********** the wrong direction across my yard and into my septic field. He destroyed my newly installed septic field. I contacted ***** and they had a representative from Backyard products contact me. They sent me to their insurance company and I waited for a call back. This incident happed in February and I tried to contact their insurance company over 38 times and they would not return my call. I contacted ***** and they tried to get Backyard products to return my call but they never did. I was blown off as they don't stand behind their product al all. Now I'm stuck having to pay four thousand dollars to have my septic system repaired. Lowes should stand behind the products they sell.Backyard Products

If you purchased a shed through ******, and they assigned you "Backyard Storage Solutions LLC" at *******************************************************, you have THREE BUSINESS DAYS from the date you purchased to cancel.1. log into ***********************************************. click on your "SIGNED DOCUMENTS" button 3. review the "Notice of Right to Cancel"My Story Like many complaints, I bought a shed through ******. ****** assigned Backyard Products (AKA: Backyard Storage Solutions LLC, AKA: BackyardBuildings.com of Tacoma). We researched their reviews online and saw consistent 1-star ratings across the board. We were majorly concerned, but foolishly optimistic. Maybe our experience would be different.The first email we received from them had very rigid specifications regarding workspace conditions and threatened additional fees for various things. Namely, the email talked a lot about being "free and clear" of dog ****, "de-dog pooped" and if you have a dog, the dog will need to be out of the yard.I don't own a dog. The person that installed our shed does though, and they brought it with them to our house while building our shed! Their dog sat in their car for a portion of the time. Then the shed installer decided it was a good idea to tie their dog up in our neighbor's yard behind a fence. I was blown away that he thought that was a good idea. Beyond discourteous.I told him to tie his dog somewhere else. The dog wasn't friendly. During install, the installer leaned shed pieces against my neighbor's old rickety fence while building. It was both rude and risky. When leaving, the dog took a c*** and of course the installer didn't bother picking up.We thought the shed was pre-painted when purchasing through ******. After learning it wasn't, we painted it ourselves thinking we made the mistake. 3 months go by, we start receiving sketchy texts and emails about shed painting. Turns out, it took them 3 months to follow-up with us after-the-fact about painting.Backyard Products

After purchasing the shed at Lowes, I received a series of text messages and emails which provided the install date. My responsibility was to go out and secure the village permit which was super easy. The village required a bond from Backyard Products. It took a couple weeks to get the bond over to the village. No big deal because the permit was issued prior to the install date. Backyard Products did not make the install date for unknown reasons. They pushed the install date out about 1 week. The guy showed up alone to build the shed and he did a good job. it looks great and it passed inspection. When the guy finished building the shed, he began to pack up to leave and I asked him about painting the shed. He told me that someone else would be painting the shed and I had to call the main number to get it scheduled. I called the office to get the schedule for the painter and that's what I've been doing for the past 35 days....calling the office to get a schedule on the painter. For the first 3 consecutive calls, I was told that someone would call me, but no one ever called. On the 4th call, the admin told me that she was surprised that no one had called me and she told me to expect a phone call from the manager. The manager never called. The 5th time i called the lady told me that I was scheduled to have my shed painted on 10/10/23. That's today! It's 10/10 and it's 1:37pm and I'm still waiting for the painter to arrive. phone me, or text me. I called the office to check the status of the painter and the admin told me that I just had to wait around. She refused to give me the techs phone number and insisted that I had to wait for his call instead. Why do I feel like I'm waiting for Backyard Products to do me a favor? I paid my hard-earned money for a painted shed and I guess I'll have to ride this one out. The only comforting thing is that I've been here before. This isn't the first time that I've fallen into a service trap.Backyard Products
