They are horrible! I have been going back and forth for over a month trying to get my referrals approved. I even have the ultrasounds results to prove that I have significant tears in my shoulder and elbow and they still have been giving me the runaround. Actually on hold right now. Not surprised to arrive on this page and see how others get treated by BCBS. I had surgery September 2022, surgery was approved and paid. I had to to have a transport chair and commode ready for my return home since I was non-weight bearing due to right ankle reconstruction. I have submitted all required documentation and have complied with requests for verificationstill no reimbursement. ***************** whether in ******* or overseas, has done nothing but tell me theyve received all info but I still dont get paid. Hours spent on the phone, cannot speak to anyone that knows anything and no effort to expedite my deserved reimbursement.SAME STUFF DIFFERENT DAYRIGHT, BCBS?IF YOU TREAT ME THIS WAY, HOW ARE YOU TREATING THE ELDERLY THAT ASK FOR WHAT THEYVE PAID FOR?Blue Cross & Blue Shield of Michigan

1 starThey do everything to offset costs to the next year so you have to pay your deductible again. I.E. they make you rent a cpap machine for 14 months then its yours. You cant have 2 different doctors appointments at the same office on the same day. My doctor is 1 hour away so I was trying to save a drive.Review fromE.M

If I could leave negative stars I would. I had a billing issue regarding a test I had September 2022 after I was charged for something that had been covered in the past and my contract states as being covered. I called BCBSM to inquire and was told that I was right and it should be covered and it would be taken care of. Shortly after I received a letter in the mail stating that it was not covered, and I had the test more than allowed in a year which is not true. I called BCBSM again and was told that I received someone else's letter and they would look into it yet again. It has been months and I still do not know the actual status. I have gotten messages from someone at BCBSM that state they have an update but when I call the number given I cannot talk to the actual person that called. I get passed around to multiple people but nobody can tell me what the status is. The last person I talked to said the person I needed was busy and would call me back and that I should wait by the phone. A day and a half later nobody has called. Issues are a nightmare to deal with and it is impossible to talk to anyone that can help. If you do get someone that can do something you can't communicate with them a second time.Blue Cross & Blue Shield of Michigan

They have repeatedly promised to fix a "billing glitch" for 4 months now. I worked with at least 7 different health insurance companies over the last 15 years and BCBS is the only one that has had these "payment glitches". BCBS has the most hoops to jump through to get things covered. They regularly deny covered services with the expectation that not everyone will not appeal.Blue Cross & Blue Shield of Michigan

I think it is UNAMERICAN to force us to use a pharmacy ********** Specialty Pharmacy)- they **** and they are ruining my health and when I *** for them ruining my health I will not only be suing Walgreen Specialty Pharmacy that BCBS OF *33353932353330333230* FORCES ME TO USE. FORCES!!!! They are a specialty pharmacy and CANNOT GET A MONT*LY ORDER CORRECT FOR T*E **** OF T*EM. I *AVE BEEN DEALING WIT* ********* ALLIANCE BECAUSE BCBS FORCES me to use them for over 5 months and every single month it is the same old run around. I have had with BCBS telling me where i can get prescriptions from. There are other specialty pharmacies who know what the * they are doing. I have been dealing with issues with BCBS since last year November.First they signed me up for a plan I never asked or approved them to sign me up for.2nd they canceled the the wrong plan and forced me to pay for a plan I never asked for which was almost double my monthly premium. Then they applied my correct monthly premium to the wrong plan ( over the phone) which forced the plan I wanted to be canceled and I had the wrong insurance plan for a month because they were saying i was outside the enrollment period for that month ( after they took my money over the phone). This took 3 months to resolved.Now... They explained on Jan 13th they would refund my payment that they applied to the wrong plan and if would take 30 days for the refund...no big deal..30 days later made another phone call and they forgot the process my refund and would have to wait another 30 days to receive the refund...fast forward to March 13th( now 60 days later) ... just called again and explained my refund will take ANOTHER 30 days to process because they sent the refund to the wrong address...I have lived in the same house for 7 YEARS! They have no problem with sending my bills...but when it comes to send a refund now they are having issues.. ************ is unbelievable and do not care about the people, all they care about get getting there money!Blue Cross & Blue Shield of Michigan

Most atrocious insurance company. They constantly lose claim forms or process them incorrectly. I have over $600 waiting for reimbursement. Their website says 60 days to process by LAW at most its 45 days CLEAN CLAIM FORMS ( research to report them please, Ive screen shot it to report them)They never have an answer for anything nor do supervisors call back. There is multiple BCBS ( for different states ) but Michigan is the WORST. Please report them to the *************************** Fraud, and to your employer ( if they have contract with them $Blue Cross & Blue Shield of Michigan
