Had mice in my apartment for about 6 months out of the year I was there. I was very concerned as I had a baby that was crawling around on the ground. I have record of multiple emails to Golfview, as well as many pictures of mice and mouse droppings. At first, all that was done was a single trap was set in the kitchen area. I was told that pest control would be out to my apartment and that never happened. Months later, a large hole under the kitchen sink was filled with spray foam. Also, they claim they did not receive my notice to move out in time. I left the notice with February 2025 rent payment (due by the 1st of the month and I always paid on time). They sent an email out on the 2/4/25 saying they received the notice. I got a letter after moving out saying that because the notice was given too late I was being charged an extra month of rent. However, the date the notice was GIVEN was at the appropriate time.Business Response

Hello,
The notice was received via the drop box on 2/4/25, which is not a proper 30-day notice, notice should be given on the 1st of the month to satisfy a proper full 30-day notice, as stated in the Lease Agreement. As far as issues concerning your apartment, that should be taken up with the manager at the property and addressed at that time, I can't speak to that, as I only do moveouts, and access units for damages/notice/fees etc. However, I do know that we are contracted with pest control to come out and service issues as such. If you report it, a service order will be created to treat, and they will continue to come out until it is resolved.

I am rejecting this response because:My move out notice was left in the drop box by 2/1/25. It was on my rent check envelope in which I always paid ON TIME by the first of the month. Your employees did not acknowledge my move out notice until the 4th. That is NOT when it was received. There is nothing in your contract that states the notice has to be given in person. That is not my fault that your property chose to not acknowledge the move out notice until days later. As far as the mice go, I did let them know. I have my emails back and forth in which I was told the pest control company would be out. They never came. I emailed back and said I was still having issues and the resolution was to come spray foam a large hole underneath the sink. One single mouse trap was also placed in the kitchen area. That is the reason I moved out as soon as I could. Im not having pest issues with my children in the apartment. It was your companys responsibility to provide a pest free living environment and you failed at that. Now you want to charge me extra and try to say I didnt give my notice in time. Shameful. This is NOT ok.
Sincerely,
******* ******Business Response

I lived at ******** apartments for four years paid the rent on time never was late and when I was cleaning to move out last year and the water wasnt working my step mom was helping me too and when I was gone this was a Wednesday and they said the flood happened on a Sunday, my insurance said that ******** showed them pictures of the propertys of damage but no receipts of the money they spent but their water was off that day and I told the manager about that and she said it was still my fault and still had to pay a fee for turning the lights off and extra cleaning. and I didnt know the stopper was in the sink I dont know how it got there. And the total come up to over a thousand dollars and extra charges and charged me for what ever they wanted to charge me for and I paid only 10 dollars on the other times I couldnt pay on it because I am on disability and I cant pay that! Who do they think I am rich!! And I paid my last months rent that was all I could give them.Business Response

Ms. ******* moved out of her apartment and before she turned in keys there was a flood from her apartment. The stopper was left in the sink and the water was left on. Water leaked from her apartment to the below apartments and caused damage to her unit as well as other units. Pictures are attached. She had the option to dispute these charges within seven days of receiving notice of her damages. She was able to make payment arrangements with us. Now this balance has been turned over to collections as it is from 2023. She has the ability to make arrangements with the collections company that will fit within her means to pay.Initial Complaint

I lived at their Heritage Arms apartments for 5 years and always followed rules and paid rent on time. When moving out I followed the rules they sent me, I paid for my last month and gave them the 30 days notice. I moved out within that month and had the utilities turned off, the landlord then angrily (which was not an uncommon emotion for the landlord here, fyi) contacted me and let me know that I needed to turn the utilities back on or turn in the keys. I was waiting to turn in the keys at the end of the month. When I tried to turn utilities back on, I discovered I couldnt as the landlord ****** already did that in her name and I couldnt turn them back on myself. She of course claimed she hadn't and informed me that I would face a $250 fine if I didnt turn in the keys. So I took the rest of the day off of work and personally handed them over. Now today I get a bill in the mail. Charger properties is claiming that I didnt give my notice and have to pay another month of rent. So the scam they are obviously pulling is this - they force you to move out early in order to charge you more money. Granted, I tried turning the power back on but couldnt because they did already. So either way I was going to be forced to pay a fee, hence this dirty scam. These apartments are disgusting and unkept, and I have a list of fire code violations Ive saved through the years, which I will be reporting first thing in the morningBusiness Response

On June 02, 2023 I filled out an application with Charger Properties to apply for an apartment at Garden Square Apartments in ***********, ** *****. I had to pay them 40 dollars on my debit card for the application. I was told they would have a one bedroom apartment on July 01, 2023. I never heard anything and decided to give them a call on June 09, 2023 because the 40 dollar debit cleared on my bank account. I was told that they haven't processed my application and it should be done Monday afternoon on 06-12-2023. I called Charger Properties today and was told that they don't have any openings at Garden Square and my application hasn't been processed. I am upset and find it extremely unfair that they charged me forty dollars and never processed my application. I feel that this is a scam. Why wasn't I told before they had no availability.Business Response
